Nobody's POV:

Elilah was running through the forest, barefoot. She was fast, knowing the terrain as well as her home.

Vinie's POV:

I pulled up my hood more, wanting to hide my face as much as possible, I pushed up my glasses.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah skirted around the trees, easily hopping over roots and holes.

Vinie's Pov:

Keeping my head low, I looked around, my feet were accustomed to walking on sharp and painful objects.

"It's her!!"a voice shouted, seconds after a rock was thrown towards me. I dodged. Many screaming insults at me, and throwing anything and everything within reach. I spun around, running to the forest area to my left.

'I did not do anything.' I groaned in my head.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah climbed up a tree once she heard the shouting, she saw birds flying away in response to the noise.

Vinie's Pov:

I ran for a few minutes before realizing, there was something in the trees. I stopped, ready to summon my Soul Scythe.. Waiting..

Nobody's POV:

Elilah was just there, perfectly calm. The only thing truly visible of her was blonde hair before she darted off farther into the trees.

Vinie's Pov:

As soon as the trees rustled, I took off in the opposite direction of this smell...It seemed familiar.. Everything in me told me, to notbe reckless, but I ignored it. "Hey wait!"I yelled, summoning my weapon, "Sorry Earth." Then running ahead I began chopping trees, in an attempt to throw off the target.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah did not take too kindly to her just chopping down the trees, this was her home, it was the equivalent of breaking one of her walls.

Vinie's Pov:

I began to feel a pain in my chest. I started to slowing down, before kneeling in pain.

▪You stupid girl. You know you are connected to the worlds.., stop damaging yourself, idiot!▪ a familiar voice in my head hissed. My Soul Scythe had disappeared. I had named it Roseala, long ago. And I was left gripping my chest in pain.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah had her eyes narrowed, she was defensive almost immediately. She slowly went into the trees, circling the girl.

Vinie's Pov:

"If you plan on killing me, do not bother.. It will not work..believe me!."I yelled.

Nobody's POV:

"...kill you?" There's enough death already. The voice was feminine but cold.

Vinie's Pov:

"I am just telling you, other people have tried.." my voice softened.

▪Stop it stupid! She doesn't need to know all your secrets! Believe me, I woulda killed you myself.▪ the female voice in my head growled, I had named her Aria. "I know.. You have tried."I spoke out loud. It is just.. I cannot die. I can feel the pain of near death or experience it.. But no matter how hard I have tried to test myself.. I had almost completely forgotten the cold feminine voice that had spoken only moments ago.

Nobody's POV:

"When did I try to kill you? I've never even seen you until today."The female asked, she hadn't landed on the ground, she was still sitting on a tree branch.

Vinie's Pov:

In one swift and quick movement, I had summoned my Soul Scythe, jumping up to the branch, slicing it iff, then falling to the ground, my shoulder blade was pierced with pain, as if someone had cropped off my arm, but it was still in one piece.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah had moved as soon as she saw the girl move, with a yelp she darted off.

Vinie's Pov:

"Hey! And for the record I was not talking to you! I know you have not tried to kill me!"I yelled, jumping to my feet following pursuit, once again, she had not seen my face, I pulled my hood more, making sure to keep it that way.

Nobody's POV:

With her running it was easier to see her appearance. She was wearing a white flower crown, in her blonde hair, and she had very tan skin. She seemed well adapted to the forest as she moved easily. She was wearing a light fabric, both in color and weight. It was a light green skirt, seemingly made of a fabric similar to mesh, or silk. Her top was just colored cloth wrapped around her chest, and it was also a very light color white.

Vinie's Pov:

The small golden hoop on my left ear began to heat up. "Ow."I muttered, jumping to a tree's side, pushing off, continuing to propel myself from the trees, I was now 20 or so yards from her. "Girl, stop, please."my voice trailed off, the last part of the sentence being quiet. I suddenly felt something. "Eli..Elilah?...Elilah!!"I was confused at first, then realizing the forest was helping me. I called out to her.

Nobody's POV:

That genuinely surprised the girl, causing her to falter, tripping and falling down. Her face had yet to be revealed, as she tried to push herself up. It stung, her hands, her legs, it all stung and burned. She could hear the forest, too, being an elf, she didn't understand why the forest helped the girl who was destroying it not too long ago.

Vinie's Pov:

I stopped. Looking at the girl's figure, or the back-half, "You are not going anywhere."I grabbed the back of her shirt, holding tightly. I looked up at the slightly taller girl. "Elf."I said plainly. I figured she would not understand why the forest would help me. But I am sure it would tell her. I turned her around. Taking in her features. If she even knew that the forest helped..

Nobody's POV:

She yelped, and she did struggle. Tears burned in her eyes, she had seemed betrayed it seemed. She was scared. She had bright green eyes that were now filling with tears, her cheeks a bit red from a mix of emotions. She had her own marks and bruises, but it was unclear from what. Her ears were pointed, too. But no earrings. She was an elf.

Vinie's Pov:

"Eh..H-huh..Huh?? W-wait, please do not cry."I immediately let go.

-She is crying because she thinks I betray her.-The Forest spoke to me. -But do not worry my chid I will protect you.-The forest reassured me. 'But her, look at her, she is with broken heart.'my thoughts swirled, I was bewildered. -Explain to her.-The forest said plainly.

"I am connected to everything."I said plainly. I did not know how else to explain it. To be honest I did not even understand myself.. Hopefully I could learn more about myself. "But please do not cry, Elilah"I said softly. I am not sure about much, and I doubt she would believe or understand me, I sighed to myself. Maybe she might..

▪Useless trash!▪Aria hissed.

Nobody's POV:

Elilah leaned against the back of a tree, her body shaking. She was trying to even out her breathing as Vinie spoke, she didn't say anything, not this time around. After a bit she just pulled her knees to her chest, moving to just be sitting, she was overwhelmed, not used to this in the slightest. She was hurting, her own thoughts whirling in her mind. The only safe place she ever knew was gone now, what was she supposed to do? She had no home at this point, no home where she'd feel safe at least.

Vinie's Pov:

I felt a burning sensation on my heart, then I felt all this girl's emotions and her thoughts. I bent down, looking at her, my chocolate brown eyes, filling with blood. 'Pleass do not be sad.' I spoke through my mind. I felt she could now hear my thoughts at least for now.

Nobody's POV:

She flinched back when Vinie got closer. She was terrified, and it didn't help at how she was hearing an unfamiliar voice, being Vinie, in my mind. This forest was the only place she called home, and it was gone, she had been here for most of her life, and she felt like it had just been ripped away from her. Now everything was strange and unknown Elilah couldn't fight, not very well, anyway.

Vinie's Pov:

'It was never yours in the first place.' I thought to her bluntly. -Do not be rude!-The forest yelled at me, a branch stretching down and swatting me in the head. "Ow."I spoke aloud, rubbing the back of my head, pulling my hood up once again. "Do not get your branches in a twist."I smiled a bit, at my terrible pun. If you would even call it that.

Nobody's POV:

That didn't help, that just made her fears concrete. She was alone, she always had been.

Vinie's Pov:

I moved closer to her. "Stop that.."I reached out my hand. "You are not alone. We can travel together!"I ended happily, standing up, once more, I reached out my hand to the girl, my blood tears stained from my eyes to my chin. I hope that wouldn't scare her.. But it wasn't like she could see anything other than my nose and chin.

▪I hope you die..and that coward elf dies..▪Aria growled. 'Shut up!'I hissed in my thoughts.

Nobody's POV:

Her thoughts were bluery and incomprehensible, but slowly it became clearer. The tears had stopped falling from her eyes by now except the occasional stray. Her chest was tight and she felt like she might suffocate, but it was mostly even, no matter how shallow her breathing actually was. She felt two main emotions, just...hurt and confusion as she looked back on her life and questioned it. She only snapped out of her panicked thoughts once the girl spoke. She had one question on her mind. "Why? You have nothing to gain from bringing me along?" Her voice was not so confident as it was earlier, she was far more meek and quiet.

Vinie's Pov:

"Why, if course I do!"I smiled brightly.

▪Just like a child, act your age!▪Aria hissed. 'Shut it!'I thought.

-My dear little Elilah, you and Vinie, have much to gain from each other. If you have not yet realized all of this girl's potential and her connection to all things, or something as simple as realizing her connection with me. You have not learned much then..-The Forest was being a little harsh as ahe spoke to the girl. -Trust me. She needs you more than you would think, and the other way around.-

I tilted my head a bit, "So whadda ya say?!"I reached my hand out further. Trying to hide my pain and suffering. But still truly being happy, to have someone not try and kill me.
