Chapter 6: HE KNOWS

STARK INDUSTRIES / TOWER

It was 8:45 in the morning, I reached my lab and grabbed the gear that was up for presentation today.

I made a prototype nanobots that could potentially enter the human body and destroy any specific cells.

Although it was still not perfect, I was not the only one working and with geniuses beside me in this company this should be a breeze.

I reached the conference room and prepared myself and the small metal ball that was the container for the nanobots.

"Well, get the show started already " TONY STARK said those words as he entered the room.

"Welcome Boss" I was gonna call him sir or something but my seniors suggested that he prefers boss or mr stark. Since I work for him and needed to make an impression I went with boss.

I stared explaining my device and it's usefulness and it's various applications.

I gathered some data from experiments and presented them.

"so how long does it survive in the human body?" He asked

"About an hour after which they have to be extracted by dialysis "

the next few minutes were discussions about the pros and cons of my nanobots.

"This project has a lot of potential, with enough time we can make it the next big thing, continue the good work, this project along with your arc reactor will be the future of this company. All the sins this company has committed , we have to scrub them off by helping the victims "

" honestly i expecting much today with you being a newbie and quite young 16 was it"

" I'll be 17 in a few, and thanks for the praise and I think I might need your help sooner than you'd expect." I said with a small grin

"of course with your other job , I know you will need my help" Tony replied with a smirk

" I don't know what you are talking about " I tried my best to not to panic .

"I monitor the entire world to keep it safe , how can I miss the new spider in my city when he works for me" Tony said with a stern voice.

" Alright I admit it " I kinda expected this to happen but this was too fast. Still better him than SHIELD, since half of that organisation was HYDRA.

"Good , not wasting time ." He said as he got up.

" I'll be watching you, not in a creepy way but gotta se if you have what it takes to make it to the team" he said while leaving.

'AVENGERS!!!' I could be a part of the dream team.

" could you make my working hours more flexible for my other job" I asked shamelessly.

" Fine, but don't lag the tech too much, it is part of the new era . " Tony replied as he left but he turned back and asked " Is your suit made of the same kind , I was also planning to produce this type of nanotechnology to make a suit. Your example opens new boundaries. Next time I will show the suit to you and here " he gave me a keycard as he went away.

'Yesssss' I screamed internally in joy knowing that I had the backing of the IRON MAN.

I exited the building and suited up in my apartments. It was the day I visited the orphanage every month.

TIMESKIP 1 HOUR

I donated a few thousand dollars to the orphanage , it was something that I had to do and always wanted to. I bought some snacks and books for the children to read.

After a few hours of hanging out the matron called me inside the Head's office.

"Hello , John I have heard that you were working at,Stark Industries." Mr. Holmes the guy running the orphanage said

"Yes, the pay is good and they are working to make the world a better place " I said proudly thinking about my work.

" We have some that belongs to you " he said those words as he pulled out a small box."it came with you in the same casket in which you were , when we found you at our doorstep "

"A letter too, that was addressed to me , saying that I must give this to you when you become an adult" he gave me the box " we tried to open it but we couldn't "

I left the place with the box.

I couldn't keep a straight face as I was trying to see how to open the box . I was panicking because the thing in front of me held all the answers I had since I was 5.

As I picked up the box, my hand got nicked by the edge. I dropped the box in pain , and as I picked it up the box started making a small sound of it split into two horizontal making a small crevice.

I pulled the two sides and the box opened. Inside was a letter and a photo.
