2 The First Meeting
'What the f*ck now?!' Alex distressingly asked himself.

After a while he finally knew what's happening-
'...So basically… I crossed over, became a baby, a skinny hungry baby at that. And… what's worst is that… am I abandoned?!'

His speechlessness was essentially broken by his own cry because of hunger.
'Then how am I supposed to feed myself?!' he cried inside his heart.
'Is this it…?'

Just as he was lamenting about his face for falling into this predicament in which his current self is helpless…

Few pairs of red balls are quietly staring at him.

Hmm…?
Hearing this faint weird sound, as well as this dangerous atmosphere around him, he finally forcefully stopped himself from crying.

Although he succeeded, but, looking at those tears at the corner of his eyes, as well as his forcefully closed toothless mouth…
One would know that he's on the verge of crying once again.

After forcefully stopping himself from crying, he finally has the time to look for the source of that weird sound-
And only then did he notice those red pairs of balls that are dangerously closing in on him!

'Crap! What are those?! Are those eyes?!' he almost cried out loud, pity, his body still not mature enough to speak.
'Regardless of what those are, they are far from being helpful in my situation!'

Regardless of how calm his mind is thinking things because of his previous usual self, his current body doesn't have enough maturity to do the same so…
Out of his body instinct, his forcefully suppressed cries finally broke out once again, and it's louder than his cries earlier!

Noticing those pair of red eyes briefly stopped shortly his outburst and close in on him faster thereafter-
'Damn it!' he inwardly cursed.

With his loud cry it's impossible for no one not to notice him, but after taking a brief look at what's happening, they just let it go and did their own business.
It's as if this is a usual event, and would even be shocked if nothing like this happened in a day.

With his cries, those pairs of eyes are dangerously closing in on him.

And finally…

As early as 15m, because of the faint moonlight, he finally managed to catch a glimpse as to what those pair of red eyes are-
'A bigger than usual, red-eyed dog-like creature, huh…?'
Unfortunately, knowing this won't help him in his current predicament.
With this 5m distance between a human and a hostile beast, even back on Earth is dangerous on itself already, let alone here in this whatever place.

A while ago…
In an alley a dark-cloaked woman could be seen walking.
Strange enough though, despite few people walking side by side with her, or passing by her, no one seems to notice her, as if she's not there in the first place.
'I spent most of my life in the Empire. With the Empire.'
'As early as 2 years ago, I had already felt my end coming'
'Well, whatever, I guess…?'
'Pfft… Crazy old woman' she laughed at herself.
'Hmm… I guess this time, I'm going to do something for MYSELF, huh…'
'The problem is… what should it be…?'
While thinking of this-

She heard a faint cry of a child, causing her thoughts to come to an end.
Under a strange force, she unconsciously followed the sound.
UWAAA! UWAAAA!!
As she kept moving closer to the source of the sound, the cry constantly grew louder too.

Later on, she's finally on the place where the cry comes from. There she witnesses the current predicament our MC is in.
She looked at the crying baby just a few tens of meters away from her, as well the Mutated Wild Dogs surrounding the said child.
Just as the Mutated Wild Dogs entered 5m distance from the child and about to pounce on him, she finally decided to move and saved the child.
She waved her left hand and-
'Fireball' she whispered.
Afterward, 7 coin-sized balls of fire appeared out of nowhere, and hit the Mutated Wild Dogs in the blink of an eye.
AWUUU…! AWUUU…!!
Just right after the ball of flames hit the Dogs, they were instantly covered in fire, and their tragic screams rang out.
Unfortunately, it's as if nothing happened, no one aside from our MC seemed to notice and heard the tragic screams of the Dogs.
Aside from the 2 people involved, no third party would be able to learn that such event even happened.
….
He looked dumbfounded at the ashes that were once a great threat to him on the ground a few meters away from him, as well as a faint hot feeling because of the fire that burned the Dogs earlier.
'What was that…? Is that magic?' he inwardly asked.

While he was thinking of that fire earlier, faint footsteps could be heard.
Click… Click… Click…
Looking at where the footsteps sound were coming from, he saw a black-cloaked person walking towards him.
He's instinctively cautious because he did not know who it was, unfortunately for him, with his body, he can't do anything even if the said cloaked person meant harm.
Click… Click… Click…

After a while, the cloaked person was finally in front of him, there he saw that the black-cloaked person was an old woman. Long between 60s-70s elderly women back on Earth.
As he looked up at the old woman, he saw her reaching out her 2 arms, lift him up, looked and smiled at him kindly and said-
"Did that surprise you? I meant the little fire earlier"
Hearing this, Alex finally knew that it was her who saved him earlier.
With this, he finally calmed his tensed nerves. And unknowingly felt a little closer to her.
"Ha. Have I finally gone senile? How could a baby that looked like a few months old understand me…?" the old woman jokingly said.
Holding Alex, she walked away.
"Hmm… hmm… you don't need to be too surprised though. As I will teach you every single thing I know."
"On one condition. That is, you being with me."
"You don't mind me raising you, do you?" the old woman asked Alex.
And to which, Alex nodded. Which is mainly due to the faint intimate feelings he's having towards her for saving him.
This surprised the elderly woman.
"You're smart, aren't you?-"
Burp…!
"..."
Alex inwardly blushed in shame.
Meanwhile the old woman-
Pfft-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
"You're a child, after all, alright!" she said.
"You nod at me not because you understand and agree with me, rather because you're hungry, huh?" the elder teased him.
Hearing this, Alex did nothing but just silently turned his head away as if he heard nothing.
This makes the woman laugh again.
Pfft-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!
After a while, her laughter finally came to an end.
"Haa… come, come, let me bring you to my home, and there I will feed you and fatten you up! You're so skinny!" she said.
And then, she waved her hand and-
'Space Jump' she whispered.
With a flash, they were gone from the alley.
The only thing left that shows that they were once there was the ashes, which were slowly disappearing and flowing by the wind.
