5 Treasure

Adam and Carmilla sat in silence for what felt like forever until a rock came flying at impressive speeds however the rock was easily evaded by the two. Adam and Carmilla quickly got up to the sight of a group of monkeys taunting them before turning tail and running, except these monkeys are not ordinary.

The forest these two are in is devoid of life and very dangerous. This forest is known as the Dry Bone Forest and it is known for many things but one fact is what prevents people from entering it, the absurdly strong monsters that reside in it.

This forest spans around 25 acres and as you go deeper in, the deadlier it gets. The forest possesses an ominous energy that is deadly to whatever beings that enter it but those who are able to survive temper their body with the energy but it still comes with a big risk. The risk of mutation and that is exactly what happened to these monkeys.

Carmilla has always been impulsive despite her race's calm nature. When she saw the monkeys taunting her, she got pissed of and conjured hands from the monkeys' shadows. The monkeys shrieked loudly causing her to cover her ears and lose control of her spell. The monkeys ran away and Carmilla chased after them. Adam ran after her and called out to her as going deeper into the forest contained a big risk and yet she didn't seem to realize. When she caught up to the group of monkeys, she jumped really high and somehow manipulated the shadows around to surround the monkeys before entering through their mouths and nostrils and causing them to erupt into a mess of blood and organs.

Instead of collecting the blood like most vampires do, she looked at the blood with a look of disgust as though she didn't cause the mess. She then felt a pang of hunger and looked back to see Adam looking at her angrily and tiredly. It was then that she realaized that not only did she risk her life by going this deep into the forest she also destroyed what could have been Adam's dinner. She quickly played it off by saying, "Damn monkeys, right? Always ruining my mood."

Adam looked at her and said, "This is the first time we see these monkeys and yet you chased after them without knowing how strong they wear despite knowing that the energy this deep into the forest is much thicker..." As he reprimanded her, he trailed off looking behind her. Adam quickly adjusted his posture an narrowed his eyes before saying, "Exactly why i didn't want to venture this deep." She turns to where he is looking to see a gorilla the size of a single storey house with 4 arms and tendrils flowing in place of it's fingers glaring at them.

She quickly assumed a battle posture and signalled to Adam which he nodded to and ran towards the gorilla while conjuring his signature sword. Carmilla was not idle as as she felt two cold daggers materialize in her hands and she quickly stabbed them into the nearest shadow.

The two both burst into action and released their respective attacks. Adam ran and slid under the gorilla's massive frame while dragging his sword against its ankle and it shrieked from the pain of Adam's sword and Carmilla's daggers. The gorilla was angered and swung one of it's arms behind it to swat Adam. The attack didn't connect well but connected nonetheless on Adam's leg, immobilizing him for a bit.

Carmilla in the meantime was firing slashes of darkness from her daggers and cutting the gorilla's tendrils. The gorilla was bleeding from it's hands and shifted it's attention to Carmilla and charged her. Carmilla didn't back down either and scaled a tree before jumping off of it onto the gorilla's face and stabbing the daggers in it's eyes. Adam then caused the daggers to dissipate while in the gorilla's eyes and made the mist from the daggers go deep into the gorilla's cranium before reaching it's brain and killing it entirely. What was strange though was how it moved almost mechanically, as though it was some kind of puppet. The two payed little attention to it before harvesting the neat from it.

The gorilla fell down causing a shockwave to spread out and from that, it exposed what seemed to be a distortion in space, and wherever there are hidden realms, there are often treasures.
