Chapter 3 - The Ronin

Still 1986 Japan, Amanda was walking through the woods when she saw a teenage boy in a yellow robe with an eye patch covering his right eye leap out from the trees. She drew her guns immediately and he drew a long, deep red katana from its scabbard. "Who are you?" She asked apprehensively. "I am Rei Higashikata. The world's greatest swordsman!" the boy, now known as Rei said. "Amanda Valentine. World's greatest hitman." she started shooting, but Rei started slicing her bullets. The two charged at each other, with Amanda brandishing a machete and Rei charging with his sword. The two clashed, but Amanda's machete broke on impact and Rei slashed her, wounding her. "GAH!!!" She coughed up blood and knelt on the ground. "This is the end of the line, Valentine." Rei said. Suddenly a voice shouted "Footloose: Ring Of Fire!!!" as Akira punched Rei in the face with his fist coated in fire. Rei screamed in pain, but his face regenerated. He ripped off his eyepatch to reveal that his right eye's scalera was black with a deep red pupil. "I thought that this bitch was the only trash here. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Rei Higashikata, also known as Devil Eye Rei, the worlds greatest swordsman." Rei said. "I'm the world's greatest paranormal investigator. Top agent of the Bureau of Paranormal Extermination. Son of Hellboy Hiro and Killer Queen. I am Akira Shinjuku!" he brandished two escrima sticks made of an unbreakable alloy with secret tasers hidden in them. Rei charged at him full speed, planning to blitz him. He swung at Akira, but Akira vanished in front of his eyes. "HAAAA!!!" Akira shouted and kicked him into a tree. Rei got up slowly. 'H-how did he keep up with me?!' he thought. Akira then began blitzing Rei, attacking him from every angle possible. Rei was overpowered by Akira's speed, strength and agility. He lied on the ground coughing blood. Akira went over to Amanda and healed her. He looked over at Rei and sighed. He walked over and healed him. Rei immediately got up and shouted "ACDC!!" as he began to glow red. Akira then said "this shit's why I don't do nice things for most strangers! Footloose!" he shouted as he glowed blue. The two charged at each other and clashed. At this point, the two were evenly matched. Then, Akira shouted "Footloose: Run To The Hills!" and began blitzing Rei again. He kneed him in the stomach and began to walk away. Rei then charged at him again, managing a slash on Akira's arm. Akira shouted out in pain and grabbed his escrima sticks, shocking Rei with the built in tasers. "What should we do with him?" he asked Amanda. "Take him with us. He seems strong." he nodded. That day, the team gained a new member and Akira gained a new rival.
