There was this book that I am obsessed with called 'The Remnant Dream'. My boyfriend, Noah gave that book to me which is why I read this.

I love Noah very much because he was the only one for me.

Everyone including my family and friends treated me likea toy to play with then throw it away once they are bored with it.

Because of Noah, I was alive.

'The Remnant Dream', a book about a magic school called 'Celeste Cloral' or CC. It was said to be the best magic school.

The protagonist named Lorien Clifford joined the school, who possessed Energy (type 1)

But one day, he founded a secret place in the school that has a unique magic. He decided to learn it out of curiosity. Because of that, he now gained a different type of element, Dream.

That new element gave him the ability to to perceive and interact with these residual dreams, leading him on a journey to uncover the secrets hidden within the school.

His goal was to uncover the secrets hidden within the school because he found the school to be suspicious.

He was very popular at his school because of his looks. Because of this, there was this girl named Tessa Harlow who liked him.

She liked him very much to the point where she would do anything for him.

She was the villaness in the story. She killed many people that are close to Lorien because she felt jealous.

The only person that Tessa never killed was Lorien's closest friend named Elijah Ashford. She knew that she wasn't able to kill him.

Elijah was that best magic user in the school, so of course Tessa was scared of him. But Elijah never wanted to kill or harm her because he liked her..?

It's a bit messed up but soon after Elijah met this girl named Aurora Whitlock, he fell in love with her.

However, at the end of the story, Lorien managed to uncover the secrets and turns out that Tessa was involved with the school's secret.

When I was about to go to my work with a taxi, all of the sudden, a car driver in high speed crashed into us.

The next thing I knew when opening my eyes, I was in a room which was not mine.

It wasn't a luxury room, just a normal ancient room.

[Ding~Welcome to 'The Remnant Dream'. You are now Helena Harper. There will be missions for you to complete.]

Huh? Helena Harper? Isn't that's.. Tessa's best friend?!

Did I got reincarnated as Helena Harper?!

I rushed into the nearest mirror and looked at my self. "Am I really Helena..? ". Helena Harper who had long white hair along with blue eyes like an ice. She looks, really pretty. Like the princess of winter.. No wonder why she possessed Ice (type 4) element.

Come to think of it, Helena Harper who was used by Tessa Harlow had a ending where Tessa killed her because of Helena being friends with Lorien.

[Ding~Before you get your first mission, you must adapt to this world first.]

Adapt? Ah.. I see.

"Helena! Have you study for your test to get into the CC school? "

Is that Helena's mom? Ah, right. I can't use magic since I just got here. This is a magic world, a world that use magic. Is that what you mean by adapting, system?

All of a sudden, a small doll that looks familiar pop up.

[Hey! I'm the system that will assist you. You can call me Luna. I will help you with anything that is possible in this world, so just call my name! ]

Luna..? Isn't that's the name that I gave my doll? The doll looks almost like my doll in my past live..

"Luna, I want you to teach me how to use my magic. " Luna agreed and gave me the basics in magic list that I need to study it.

"Thanks."

"Hmm, do you know when will the test be held at, Luna? "

[Yes, I do. It will be held in a month. And at that time, you should already know how to use the basics in magic. ]

"I see.. " I sighed and thought about the end Helena's life. If Helena died because of Tessa killing her because she was friends with Lorien, then that means I don't have to be his friend right.? That should be easy.

"Helena! Tessa is down stairs waiting for you! " I was surprised and prepare my self.

I went down stairs and saw a long magenta hair color along with a pair of red eyes, Tessa Harlow.

"Hey, Helena! Let's go study for the test! " she said cheerfully while waving her hand towards me.

I smiled and replied "sure, any place where we could train? " Tessa looked at me for a few seconds then said "Of course..? Did you forget that we will study and train in my garden? "

Ah, right. Tessa was a noblewoman, of course she has her own private place.

I told my mom, or should I say Helena's mom that I'll go to Tessa's garden.

"Okay, stay safe! " I was shocked by those words. I felt relieved hearing it.

-Tessa's Mansion-

Woah, in the book, it said that Tessa had a big mansion. To think that it was this big is surprising.

Tessa looked at me with a confused face "You look like you never went to my mansion, Helena. Even though you went here almost every week!". Tessa giggled while saying that.

" A-ah, yes. I'm still not used to your big mansion."I smiled awkwardly and we went to the garden.

-Garden-

Tessa's garden is really big. It has a lot of space for us to train here.

"Hey, Maddie. Can you bring us some books about magic? " said Tessa while looking at her personal mad, Maddie.

Maddie and Tessa was close. Maddie has served Tessa for 6 years. No wonder why they were close.

"Of course, Lady Tessa. " said Maddie while bowing. Later on, she came back with a pile of books about magic in her hands.

Looking at how Tessa is now, I couldn't imagine why she was so obsessed with Lorien. She's very kind and nice right now, so why did she became a killer..?

I started to read some books about the flow of mana. It was hard to understand at first, but soon, I understood what the concept is.

For starters, all you need to do is to meditate for an hour. When meditating, you must focus on your breathing and heart. This method is the most popular one.

Although this method is useful, it takes weeks for you to master this. Other than this method, there's another one. This method is harder than meditation but can be completed in just 1-3 days.

It's called 'Cromwell Focus', which was named after the great professor Benjamin Cromwell.

This method uses the help of the surroundings, mind, breathe, and heart. You need to focus all of them in once, which is why it's hard.

It took me 2 days to learn this, but because of Tessa, she managed to help me by guiding me. I wonder how is she the villaness of she is that kind?? No wonder why Helena was loyal to her..

Helena didn't appear that much in the story so I don't have much information about her. The story didn't said anything about Tessa's and Helena's past when they start being friends.

In the 2nd day, when I was focusing on my mana flow, there was a commotion between Tessa and a maid. This also happened in the book so I wasn't too suprised.

Apparently, the maid accidentally spilled the tea that was for me and Tessa. It got into Tessa's dress and Tessa got furious. I take back my word of her being kind I guess..

"Hey?! Why did you spill it?! Do you have a death wish or something?! " Tessa screamed at the crying maid.

In the book, Helena would side with Tessa and help her get revenge on the maid. But unlike Helena, I don't have the confidence to do such thing. I wasn't sure what to do but I decided to try and solve the situation.

"I-im so sorry Lady Tessa! I-i promise to never let this happen again! Spare me please! " said the crying maid on the ground.

I sighed and decided to calm the situation. "Hey, Tessa. It's okay, you can stop now. Is the tea hot? Did it hurt? " I asked while stepping in. Tessa looked at me with a confused and disappointed face and said "Huh? Did you hit your head, Helena? This isn't like you. You usually went to my side and start lecturing the maid."

Crap. I thought it would be okay to say that but this is a bit unexpected. I'm not sure what to reply her..

"What's up with the commotion here?! " said a men with a dark magenta hair along with black eyes. Tessa looked at that man with anger. " Why are you here, brother? ". Ah, apparently that her younger brother, Mateo Harlow.

" Y-young master Mateo?! I-im so sorry for causing a commotion! " said that maid while on her knees. Mateo looked curiously at me and said "Huh? Helena is here? "

Mateo and Helena rarely meet in the book due to how busy Mateo is with his father. But either way, he's a scum. "A-ah, young master Mateo. It's nice to meet you. " I said while bowing.

"No need to bow for him, Helena! He's not worth to bow for. " said Tessa while glaring at him. Was Tessa only kind to me? This is suprising. Mateo scoffed and said "Just because your my older sister, doesn't mean you get to control everything, Tessa. "

Seeing them both glaring at each other looked like they said to each other a lot without even opening their mouth.

All of the sudden, Tessa dragged me into somewhere private. "Helena, you're a bit unusual since we started training. You've gone more, quiet. " said Tessa with a worried face. Who would have thought that she cared so much about me? But then, why did she kill me just because I was friends with Lorien in the book?? She even used me in the book just to make her satisfied? This is confusing.

For some reason, this world is a bit different than the book. Did I changed something? I mean, if Tessa is nice to me right now, maybe she won't kill me in the future!

"... Forget what I said, let's get back to studying magic. " said Tessa while going back to where we study.
