To introvert Alex, being abandoned with his Grandparents in a creepy old town is not a problem. What is a problem is the disturbing things that he has been seeing since he arrived in this freaky place. He needs answers for burning questions: Who are the Pattern Screamers and what do they want? What are the strange lights on the town boundary line? What are the Old Ones? Why can he play in any cave as long as it is not the one beneath Whisper Mound? The strangest thing?
