"Good Morning everybody," I looked up and saw Jennifer. "Welcome back!" I grinned and stood up to give both her and Steve a hug.

I was about to sit down but then I spotted a familiar figure. His blue eyes met mine and I tried my hardest to suppress the smile that I wanted to show. "Good morning family," he smiled and I broke off our eye contact. Aaron had come back with the rest of the glasses and he went ahead to greet Jennifer and Steve.

It was now time for Damon, to hug me.

We were family after all.

But thankfully things haven't been awkward between us, neither has there been any tension. His arms wrapped around me and his intoxicating scent fed my nostrils once again. I mirrored his actions and whispered a small 'hi' in his ears.
