1 Chapter #1 : The Call

"Hey Stop" Shouted the police but the figure in black kept running. The figure stopped running as he realized he was cornered with no way where to go he put his hands up. You might be wondering how I got here.

Well how did I get here I have no idea let's say it all started when I read that paragraph on the internet I so wished I hadn't read it. well there is no turning back now is there?

I was searching for a way to escape this hell hole so I casually browsed the internet and stumbled across a website that read.

 "Life can be very difficult sometimes but that doesn't mean you should give up".

How amusing can these words be to an individual man? Having given up on life might seem like an easy choice. Wouldn't it be nice to have a miracle when we are at our lowest? These same thoughts occurred in young Woojin's mind.

Han Woojin always thought that if he could pass the bar exams once he wouldn't have to face poverty all his life. Although he worked in a law firm he couldn't make ends meet this could be a shock to many Korean lawyers but for Woojin it was normal. That Han woojin is me.

If only I wasn't a greedy asshole I wouldn't be in this position. I was a good lawyer who didn't complain and worked hard. What did I do so wrong? These types of thoughts were getting to me. I just didn't want to be left behind that's all. I clicked and opened the website there was a number under the article I didn't even hesitate to dial it in hopes that maybe this was the answer I was looking for.

But to my luck, no one picked up the call. "Great I fell for a scam again," I said

I guess I was desperate because when I received a call from an unknown number I didn't even hesitate to pick it up maybe I was hoping it would solve my problem.

"Hello," said a weird but freaky voice to me it sounded like a man talking.

"Hi," I answered.

"You're Woojin right who works at BDH law firm," said the person on the phone.

"Yes," I answered.

"Perfect," said the person he paused for a bit and continued again "I want you to work on a case".

"A case??" I asked puzzled maybe this person doesn't know that I am a good-for-nothing lawyer.

If that's the case and this person hasn't heard the so-called rumors about me then maybe this could be a sign sent to me by God himself.

"I'd be happy to help you sir you can count on me," I said with a friendly voice.

"Good," said the person on the other side "We will meet tomorrow at the law firm".

"Okay see you then," I said as I ended the call.

Then I remembered that I forgot to ask for my client's name.

"Oh well I will meet him tomorrow maybe I can ask him then," I said happily.

" I haven't worked on cases for years maybe this was the perfect opportunity to show what an amazing lawyer I am," I thought to myself.

 I went to bed happily that day. Thinking that maybe life isn't so bad after all. Little did I know that what I just did would turn my life upside down.
