4 Chapter 004 - Summoning Technique is the Key

Fate realized today why the Locomotive town looked a bit cold yesterday, it turned out that most people ran to the Moonfall Mountain Range to hunt magical beasts, and there is also a part of the mercenaries to protect a few teams of merchants to go to the Lance Empire. As if by appointment, all rushed back today.

Anna's Tavern was packed, and when they said it was a tavern, it was just some rough rye, and most of them still came for the one-of-a-kind hot and spicy food. The dishwasher plus the guest runner, Fate, was too tired and winded to handle it all.

More than three thousand bunches of spicy hot pot were sold out by the afternoon, some mercenaries and adventurers who rushed over didn't get to eat and left unhappy. A few newcomers who just came to the Locomotive town wanted to lose their temper because they didn't get to eat, but before they could scream and curse a few times, they were thrown into the street by a few people, and they pounced on them to give them a fat beating.

"Keep your eyes peeled, this tavern drops a plank, that'll have to be patched up with your bones." A big burly man grinned and cursed, adding another kick to the adventurer's horrified face.

"Uncle Huck." Johnsan, with a skewer of chicken in his mouth, asked, "Why haven't we seen Silu here today?" Beside him Fate was carrying a pot of hot vegetables, eating leisurely, his magical robes long since changed, and he was eating in his rough linen clothes.

"That kid ran to eat spicy hot yesterday, and did not know to bring me a few bunches, today let me shut up at home to practice, the rest of those dozens of meals I'll eat." Huck said smilingly.

"Shit!" Anna jumped out and kicked a groaning rookie a few steps away, spitting in her mouth and spraying Huck in the face.

"I say hak, you a no talent thing, Xilu those spicy hot pot but with their own ability to exchange back, you want to eat just come to eat ah, still afraid that my mother can't collect the money to go to your house to move things ah."

Harker was head over heels and didn't dare return the favor, backing away.

"What's the point of hiding, are you so afraid of my old lady that you're afraid I'll eat you? Look at your demeanor." Saying that, not relieved of her hatred, Anna twisted Huck's ear and yanked it towards the side of the road.

"Is everything okay?" Fate was devotedly concerned about the well-being of his boss's wife.

"It's fine." Johnsan spat out the chicken bone and laughed, "The two of them are langing and the more they fight the sweeter it gets, Harker isn't going to fight back."

Fate's eyes lit up, who said that men don't gossip more than women, he asked, "Then why did the boss's wife still chase after Xilu for money yesterday, since she was interested in Uncle Niu, it's not just a matter of not charging money."

"That's Anna, no one else." Johnsan said, "Money is money, feelings are feelings, and no one separates them better than she does."

Far away to see Anna and Huck standing on the street corner, the two people talking voice lower and lower, do not know what Huck said, Anna actually did not comply with the twisting of the bucket waist, shaking Johnsan two eyes dizzy, busy walking back to the store.

"Mr. Fate, it's okay now, we're closed for the night, let me take you out for a stroll." Johnsan washed the grease off his hands and changed into cleaner clothes along the way.

Naturally, Fate begged to differ and was busy following. The two strolled along the central avenue of THE Locomotive town for a few moments before Johnsan led him towards the woods at the edge of town.

Fate couldn't fathom what he was thinking, and he didn't ask anything as he didn't see Johnsan as a child at all.

Going into the woods and finding a clearing, Johnsan sat down on the ground and waited for Fate to sit down before he asked, "What's going on with the big spot in my head?"

"A big piece of the head?" Fate frowned in thought for a moment and said, "Are you talking about mental space?"

"Mental space?" Johnsan's eyes lit up, this statement was indeed much more accurate than his own description, and he hastily nodded his head, "It is spirit space."

"How big?" Fate was also interested.

Looking up and around blankly for a few moments, Johnsan said tentatively, "I feel like it's about the same size as this town."

"What?" Fate was stunned, his eyes widened and he lost his voice, "As big as THE Locomotive town?"

Johnsan nodded, in fact he didn't dare to tell the truth, the space was dark and dreary to see, but he could feel it was very big, so big that he didn't even have a way to describe it.

"You are a summoner." Fate said excitedly, "Oh, I was wrong, you'll definitely be a summoner in the future, one of the greatest."

"Summoner?" Johnsan wasn't quite sure of the term even though he had heard of it.

"Right." Fate said excitedly, "The type or number of magical beasts that a summoner can summon is greatly related to his spiritual space, you have such a large spiritual space at such a young age, if you practice summoning techniques properly, your future achievements will be unlimited."

"Summoning?" Johnsan vaguely felt he had caught something.

"I was too excited." Fate took a few deep breaths and waited for his mood to calm down a bit before saying, "Summoner is a withered profession on the continent, because the summoner himself is too weak and has little attack power, all depends on the summoned beasts to fight, which, most magicians and warriors are also able to have powerful magical beasts in the form of magical pacts or equal pacts. So very few people on the continent nowadays are practicing the profession of summoner unless ..."

"Unless what?" Johnsan was getting a little anxious.

"That's more like a normal kid."

Fate thought in his heart and smiled slightly, feeling that he had recovered some self-confidence, and said eloquently, "Unless a summoner's mental space is extremely large and he possesses strong mental power, he can summon a huge number of magical beasts swarms, and a summoner like this is definitely a nightmare for other professions. Just like the most famous summoner on the continent once, Anoriva, he could summon a hundred and eight magical beasts, and Mr. Anoriva was also the first summoner ever to squeeze into the Holy Domain powerhouse."

"The number is naturally fine, but it's a shame that I'm afraid to try any of them." Johnsan thought dejectedly in his mind.

"What was that magical beast egg you took out yesterday? Where did you get it? It's already hatched, right?" Fate smoothly threw out the question that had been bothering him all day.

"That ... well ... Mr. Fate, when my spirit space was created, there was somehow a magical beast egg in it, the same one you saw yesterday, so what's going on?" Johnsan organized his words as he spoke, his eyes firmly fixed on Fate.

"An innate summoning beast." Fate huffed backward, the corners of his mouth grinning infinitely.

"An innate summoning beast? What do you mean?" With a single magical beast egg scaring Fate like this, Johnsan thought he was wise to hide the Alien Queen and the other uncountable magical beast eggs.

Fate calmed down for a long time and said, "There is an extremely low chance that a summoner will have an innate summoning beast when forming a spirit space, unlike other magical beasts, innate summoning beasts are able to grow indefinitely, and no one dares to predict what kind of powerful they can become in the end. According to the epic, there has not been such a precedent for ten thousand years, so many people treat this claim as a legend, but I never expected it to be true."

"Hey, if I hadn't appeared in this world, maybe this would always be a legend. Alien is able to keep evolving and growing, but the problem is that it doesn't dare to use it."

Johnsan said in his heart, frowned for half a day and asked again, "I have a very bad feeling, this magical beast egg is very dangerous, so dangerous that every time it is going to hatch my spirit is very tense and disordered, I feel like there is no way I can control it, I can only send it back, luckily this egg is in the spirit space I feel like I can control it to stop hatching. "

"That's why it's important for you to learn summoning techniques and cultivate your spiritual power so that you can communicate with the summoned beast and control it, at that point, the danger is to your enemy. Even the most ferocious summoned beast is an obedient hyena in front of its own summoner, and will only act according to the summoner's wishes."

"So that's what happened." Johnsan's eyes lit up with an excited slap.

"How do you know so much? You're a wizard, not a summoner."

Fate blushed and stammered for a long moment before saying, "My father and my grandfather were both a Summoner, and it was because of the decline of the profession that they made me switch to magic."

"I see." Johnsan said anxiously, "Then do you have any family secrets, something like a very powerful summoning technique, lend it to me, will you?"

Fate rolled his eyes and said, "There is no secret manual, the books of summoning art are everywhere in the whole continent, they are not worth much money, and the cultivation methods are similar, the difference is only in the individual's enlightenment and talent."

"Go, back to town." Johnsan stood up and flew towards the town. Fate, a little unsure, was busy following.

The two ran back into the tavern where Anna and Harker were sitting in a corner of the tavern talking and laughing and ignoring them.Johnsan flipped out a board and took out a charcoal note to write a few words, clipped the board and ran towards the busiest trading bazaar in the center of THE Locomotive town.

"Is this okay?" Fate sat down next to Johnsan and looked at the board with the words "Summoning Practice Books for a thousand skewers of Anna's Tavern Hot & Spicy" in large letters.

"Don't worry, everything can be collected here, I heard that there was once a golden lion noble from an orc kingdom who used twenty thousand gold coins to buy the daughter of a certain duke in the Lance Empire here. Besides, my spicy hot pot is the only one in the Locomotive town, and Anna, the money grubber, has priced it so expensively, so there are definitely people who will come to exchange it." Johnsan was confident.

Sure enough it didn't take long for a group of people to crowd over.

"I have it here, look at it, it's still new." A triangular-eyed man waved a Rampy booklet in his hand.

"My my, just five hundred bunches will do." A fat man desperately raised his five stubby fingers.

"I've got them too, three hundred, just three hundred strings."

...

Look at those people in the hands of the pamphlet packaging are the same, Johnsan estimated that these are the mainland official printed, just want to randomly pick a book to buy, see a black hand from the crowd handed over, pinched a yellowed pamphlet, followed by the main body showed up, it turned out to be a dirty beggar.

"Family heirloom summoner secrets, not for a thousand strings less." That hairy sores covered smelly old beggar desperately screamed.

"Just his, everyone disperse." Johnsan mentally flipped the board over under his armpit and helped the old beggar up.

The trading market naturally has his rules, the others, although they did not exchange successfully, they did not dare to mess around, slowly dispersed, just screaming and cursing less.

"What family secrets?" Johnsan took the tome in the old beggar's hand and casually flipped through it a few times.

"My grandfather said that this is the textbook that Mr. Anoriva personally wrote when he was teaching at the Imperial Academy back then, but then with the decline of the summoner profession, these textbooks are also out of print." The old beggar trembled and said, "This is my grandfather's grandfather's ... I can't say anymore, anyway, it has been passed down for many years, unique and out of print."

"The life of a summoned beast is your life, respect and treat it well so you can grow."

The title page of the book says so, and Johnsan casually flips through the pages and says, "Okay, this is the one. Come to Anna's tavern early tomorrow and I'll raise you an extra five hundred skewers."

"Good man ah." The old beggar was excited and full of tears, said, "Every day there to smell that fragrance, young master you also sent me a few bunches, I see that the boss's wife scolded you before I dared not go, it's too delicious. I can't live many days, it's worth it to be able to eat enough at once."

"It's fine." Johnsan laughed, "Anna's a knife to the heart, you're fine going every day."

With that, he gave the old beggar a few more instructions to come early tomorrow before Johnsan walked back with Fate.

"Picked up a treasure, didn't you." Halfway through Johnsan said cheerfully, "My favorite thing I used to do was to taunt at flea and second-hand markets, and I always got a good deal."

"Fleas? A second-hand market?" Fate said blankly, "Where is it? The Lance Empire or the Paulownia Empire, why haven't I heard of it."
