… … .

… … . ..

Hearing these words, the young man and the teacher were taken aback.

"Boss?" they asked in surprise.

Liu Long and Ling Feng pointed towards a specific bed and confirmed, "Yeah, see we even reserved the best bed for the boss."

The youth and teacher Yuhe exchanged puzzled glances.

"Could this be some kind of trick?

"How did he manage to do that?" Yuhe asked the young man, who looked equally embarrassed and curious.

"I don't know either," the young man replied honestly, even he couldn't help feeling amazed at this peculiar development. Becoming the boss of Xiao Chenyu's group was no easy feat.

It must have taken some serious convincing skills to earn their respect and loyalty. The two were left pondering.

….

Wang Feng walked toward the cafeteria at a leisurely pace. Coincidentally, he ran into Tang San and a lovely little girl that was standing beside him. The girl had a rosy complexion and was neatly dressed in plain clothes, with her long hair tied into a long braid that reached her waist. She was engaged in a conversation with Tang San, when he met him.

A few members of work-study dorm also followed behind them.

"Brother Feng!" Tang San greeted Wang Feng with a smile and waved at him. This also drew the little girl's attention to Wang Feng.

'This must be Xiao Wu, right?' Wang Feng remarked in his mind, looking at the adorable little girl but feeling uncertain.

As Xiao San's future wife, he wasn't interested in pursuing Xiao Wu romantically. Besides, he preferred older and busty girls.

Xiao Wu's watery eyes stared at Wang Feng as she introduced herself, "Little San told me about you. He said you're someone stronger than him, someone called Feng'ge and is also from the same village as him . That must be you, right?" Tang San blushed, embarrassed by Xiao Wu's revelation.

"That's me." Wang Feng acknowledged her statement with a nod.

Xiao Wu, however, looked determined to challenge him.

"I want to spar with you." she said with a smile, to which Wang Feng politely declined, "I have no interest in fighting you."

Xiao Wu seemed unconvinced. "Why not? Are you afraid of fighting a little girl?" she asked, determined to prove herself stronger.

"No, I'm not fighting with you just because I don't want to."

"Why do you not want to fight me? Are you afraid? Don't worry I won't beat you too badly." Xiao Wu patted he chest in assurance.

"…." Wang Feng looked at her speechlessly.

Wang Feng explained that he simply didn't want to fight her because he was not in the mood right now but Xiao Wu persisted, insisting that she wanted to fight him. Wang Feng also understood that she had a competitive spirit and wanted to prove her strength to Tang San.

Finally, Wang Feng agreed but with a condition. "When you have a soul ring, we can spar." he proposed.

This delighted Xiao Wu, who was naturally full of soul power. She eagerly accepted the challenge and vowed to return after acquiring her soul ring.

After having lunch together, Wang Feng spent the rest of the day in the academy's library researching information about soul beasts. He was preparing himself for future encounters with them as even though he read Douluo Continent, there was not much information regarding many soul beast.

The next day, Tang San accompanied his master to the Soul Hunting Forest, while Wang Feng headed toward the Soul Hall. He hoped to enter the Soul Hunting Forest but for that he needed a warrant from the Soul Hall that will grant him entry.

At the Soul Hall, Wang Feng encountered a woman who questioned about his intentions. He explained that he wanted a token to hunt soul beasts but the woman found it amusing, believing Wang Feng was not prepared for such a task. She even suggested he sought help from Su Yuntao, the person in charge of the Soul Hall here and take him to meet Su Yuntao.

Su Yuntao was surprised to see Wang Feng and jokingly mentioned that he initially thought the woman was referring to someone else when she talked about a kid needing permission and token for entering into Soul Hunting Forest. Su Yuntao, however, refused to provide Wang Feng with a token, deeming it too dangerous for him to go alone. Instead, he offered an alternative, inviting Wang Feng to join the Soul Hall, where he could easily receive tokens and even assistance in hunting soul beasts.

Su Yuntao observed Wang Feng with keen interest. The child possessed innate full soul power, though his martial soul was lacking. However, it was his strength that impressed Su Yuntao the most. A six-year-old with the ability to suppress and defeat him, a 27th-level Soul Grandmaster, even after martial soul possession is truly remarkable. Su Yuntao admitted he hadn't encountered anyone with innate full soul power, apart from Wang Feng and the blue silver grass martial soul child. This piqued his curiosity.

Despite his admiration, Su Yuntao offered Wang Feng a chance to join the Soul Hall but Wang Feng politely declined. He didn't want to rely on others to hunt soul beasts and he preferred to challenge and train himself. Wang Feng was confident in his own abilities and he had no intention of joining a force at the moment.

As Su Yuntao hesitated, Wang Feng mentioned that he was already at the tenth level of soul power and required a spirit ring to advance further. According to the rules, the Soul Hall should issue him a token to enter the soul hunting forest. Wang Feng's clever tactic of mentioning the story behind the Douluo Dalu Soul Breaking the Sky convinced Su Yuntao to give him the token reluctantly.

With the token in hand, Wang Feng made his way to the Soul Hunting Forest. Excitement surged through him as he explored the bustling market surrounding the forest. It felt like a dream, reminding him of the vibrancy of his previous life.

After clearing the checking at the gate of the Soul Hunting Forest by showing the token issued by the martial soul, he was let to enter the Soul Hunting Forest.

Once inside the forest, Wang Feng was determined to hunt down the millennium (thousand-year old) soul beast. However, he knew this task was going to be very challenging. Still, he had a trump card—the Meteoric Tears that ensured he could survive even in extreme situations or even after receiving fatal injury.

Meanwhile, Tang San and grandmaster, who were also within the soul hunting forest, were searching for soul beasts suitable for Tang San's first soul ring. The grandmaster advised Tang San to be cautious and to aim for soul beasts close to four hundred years, as the first soul ring of a tenth-level spirit master could bear only about that age of a soul ring.

Curious about Wang Feng's strength, Tang San asked his master about the potential spirit rings that Wang Feng could hunt for. The master believed that Wang Feng's limit would also likely be around a hundred-year-old soul beast, possibly two to three hundred years, depending on the type of soul beast. However, he warned Tang San of the dangers associated with hunting stronger soul beasts.

In another part of the forest, Wang Feng encountered a five-meter-long mandala snake, approximately five hundred years old. Though the battle was intense, Wang Feng proved victorious, leaving the snake unconscious on the ground as the yellow colored hundred-year-old ring floated upon its corpse.

With determination in his heart and the token from the Soul Hall, Wang Feng ventured deeper into the soul hunting forest, prepared to face the challenges that may lay ahead.

This ancient mandala snake, over five centuries old, was the third soul beast encountered by Wang Feng since he entered the Soul Hunting Forest. It stood out as the most formidable one among them all. However, Wang Feng wasn't perturbed by its presence.

"Though the mandala snake is highly venomous and has an incredibly tough body, it wasn't overly powerful. So, it didn't pose much threat to me."

Wang Feng was pleased with the age of the creature, finding it impressive that it had lived for more than five hundred years. Nonetheless, the mandala snake didn't prove to be a challenge for him. He mused, "This would have been a perfect match for Xiao San if he were to here."

In his memory, Xiao San's first soul ring was also a mandala snake.

The five-hundred-year-old soul ring might have been absorbed by him, but as it is now it would vanish within an hour.

Wang Feng had no qualms about leaving it behind. After all, he acknowledged that Xiao San, the protagonist of the Douluo Continent, would eventually acquire a soul ring, so there was no need to worry.

Without lingering much, Wang Feng proceeded deeper into the hunting forest. After walking for about an hour, the darkness of the night began to envelop the surroundings.

Suddenly, a low growl echoed in the distance, causing the weaker soul beasts nearby to cower in fear. Wang Feng was also startled by the sound, feeling a hint of fear creeping in, as even if he was strong, he in his previous life was just an ordinary man living in the safety of the city without any fear of safety and wild animals and even in this life lived in a village where one of the strongest existence in this world also resided.

The sound was undoubtedly the roar of a thousand-year soul beast and not just any ordinary one as the roar blasted visible shockwave in the air rustling all the trees and grasses in the vicinity.

As Wang Feng was about to retreat, another loud howl resonated, intensifying the excitement within him. Two, thousand-year old soul beasts! This presented a rare opportunity. Suppressing his emotions, he stealthily approached the source of the commotion. The roars grew louder as the closer he reached and Wang Feng coul see two soul beasts in the distance.

One was a snow-white fox-like creature, three to four meters tall, with a star-shaped mark on its forehead and a purple halo surrounding its body.

"Starlight Fox!" Wang Feng recognized it from the limited information he had found in the academy library. It was a thousand-year-old soul beast with potent healing abilities, though other powers remained a mystery.

Thinking about combining the Starlight Fox's spirit ring with the Golden Lotus' healing power in its first form, Wang Feng's excitement surged. Although the other abilities of the Starlight Fox were unknown due to insufficient records, he felt that the healing power of the Golden Lotus' first form was already formidable enough. Instead, he hoped that the spirit ring would enhance strength, speed, and endurance, making it an all-around support for a soul master.

"Let's take a look at the other one first."

Wang Feng thought as he shifted his attention to another soul beast nearby. To his surprise, it was a Resplendent Golden Leopard whose fur shimmered even in the night. Its deep purple soul power emitted an aura of great strength.

"Resplendent Golden Leopard!" Wang Feng exclaimed, feeling a shiver ran down his spine. This majestic creature was also a thousand-year soul beast and its speed and aggression were very fearsome. Moreover, it possessed the ability to release paralyzing lightning, making it an exceptionally dangerous and aggressive soul beast.

"However, this Resplendent Golden Leopard must be at least a spirit beast of over five thousand years."

Wang Feng observed the deep purple soul power surrounding the golden light leopard. He wondered if he could absorb such a powerful soul ring and even more importantly, if he could defeat this formidable opponent. If he managed to absorb the Resplendent Golden Leopard soul ring, he knew the Golden Lotus in its first form would grant him numerous advantages.

Wang Feng compared the two soul beasts he had encountered. The Strlight Fox seemed to be around three thousand years old and would likely be no match for the Golden Light Leopard. Feeling the urgency of the situation, he knew that defeating the Resplendent Golden Leopard with his current strength was nearly impossible. He lacked a powerful attack ability and had not awakened other forms of Chaos Green Lotus yet.

The Starlight Fox, with its intelligence and cunning, might be his best hope. Despite not reaching ten thousand years, it possessed a certain level of intelligence.

As the intense battle unfolded before him, Wang Feng devised a plan in his mind.

The Resplendent Golden Leopard larger than the Starlight Fox, roared and unleashed a bolt of lightning from the golden horn on its head, aiming at the Starlight Fox. The Fox managed to evade the attack but it still suffered some injuries. Seizing the opportunity, the Resplendent Golden Leopard lunged forward, its sharp claws glowing in a luminous aura.

Wang Feng noticed that the Resplendent Golden Leopard appeared to be somewhat fatigued, likely due to the constant recovery of the Starlight Fox causing some injuries. He saw an opening in the battle and a smile formed on his lips. The time for action seemed to have arrived for him.
