Chapter 165.

"Dad, Grandpa Bone, why are you asking about this?" Ning Rongrong interjected, refusing to comply. "Don't inquire any further about Wang Feng! His background might be humble, but why does it bother you so much!"

Ning Fengzhi smiled wryly. "Rongrong, it's not that we disdain his background. It's just that his talent and strength are too extraordinary. You might not have seen it clearly just now and you might not fully understand the significance of him withstanding the full pressure of the Tai Tan without succumbing or even activating his martial soul. To put it plainly, in the entire continent, there may not be a second person of his age who can achieve such a feat."

In the recent situation, although Ning Rongrong's level was not high, she witnessed Wang Feng's extraordinary strength firsthand. However, Ning Rongrong didn't know the extent of Wang Feng's power or its origins. Even Tang San might not fully comprehend what he had witnessed.

"Anyway, you are not allowed to ask more about Wang Feng! Otherwise, I will ignore you!" Ning Rongrong declared with a tilt of her head and an angry expression. However, deep down, hearing her father praise Wang Feng made her secretly happy.

Tang San observed, thinking that Ning Rongrong had revealed Wang Feng's secret to her father, probably with the intention of showing Sectmaster Ning how impressive brother Feng was. Yet, Wang Feng seemed uninterested in emotional matters. Although he enjoyed the company of beautiful girls, when it came down to it, he appeared unwilling to pursue a romantic relationship.

Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo also exchanged glances. After Tang San handed over the blueprints for creating various hidden weapons, he left the meeting room. Ning Fengzhi examined the blueprints and commented, "Tang Hao's son is truly exceptional. He can create these astonishing things. Five million is a very small price for such splendid weapons that can help even an ordinary person to kill a soul master."

"Tang Hao's son has a bright future and even a twin martial soul. In another ten years, he might become another Tang Hao or even stronger than him," Bone Douluo remarked.

"Moreover, at such a young age, he handles people and matters with remarkable composure. He doesn't seem like a normal 13 or 14-year-old child at all. It's unsettling."

"Dad, you must come over to help Wang Feng recover later. I am going out first," Ning Rongrong said as she stood up, walked to the door, and suddenly turned to address the two. "Also, you can't investigate Wang Feng's affairs any further. If I get to know, I will ignore you in the future, hmph!"

After her words, Ning Rongrong walked out. Ning Fengzhi sighed, "Fengzhi, Tang San is Tang Hao's son. We won't pry into that, but this Wang Feng... I'm afraid he's not as simple as he seems."

After Ning Rongrong left, Bone Douluo spoke in a low voice, "Old Sword also mentioned that when he came back last time, this kid was able to withstand the pressure he exerted a year ago... This kid did not even suffer injuries and just pretended to cough up blood. Old Sword felt a bit uncomfortable... It's only been a year! And now he can even resist full soul power pressure from Tai Tan. His growth is too extraordinary."

"From the looks of it, when he grows up, even Tang Hao at his peak might not be his match..."

"Are we really not going to investigate any further?" Bone Douluo asked.

Ning Fengzhi contemplated for a moment, then shook his head and said, "No, Tang San has no reason to lie. Even if we investigate, it's likely to align with what Tang San said. Moreover, it might upset Rongrong. This Wang Feng... Rongrong likes him, but based on Rongrong and Tang San's descriptions, it's challenging for this child to join our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Sect."

With that, Ning Fengzhi wore a smile,

"But..."

"But what?"

"As the saying goes, the grave of a hero is a beauty's allure..."

"..."

"Let's go, Uncle Bone. I want to meet this kid and by the way, be prepared to give him a good beating. This will prevent him from bullying Rongrong like he did last time..."

After leaving the meeting room, Tang San headed straight to Wang Feng's room.

"Brother Feng, Rongrong informed Uncle Ning about your ability in cultivating immortal herbs." Tang San informed Wang Feng, who had visibly improved.

"I'm aware." nodded Wang Feng. He had already noticed Ning Fengzhi's peculiar expression.

"It's not a big deal... immortal herb and its effects are hard to conceal." Wang Feng explained as Tang San prepared to speak. "Your group's strength is too conspicuous. In a matter of days, you'll reach ranks thirty-six or seven, and anyone observant will notice this peculiarity. If someone investigates, there's no hiding it."

Tang San agreed, realizing the rapid advancements of six individuals within days could attract attention.

"My way of immortal herb cultivation is the only issue, it's a bit troublesome if anyone else comes to know of it. But Uncle Ning won't spread it carelessly," Wang Feng assured with a smile. "He's Rongrong's father afterall and is unlikely to act maliciously towards us. Besides, he probably won't disclose this casually."

Tang San, concerned, asked, "What if they use it as leverage? Forcing you to assist in immortol herb cultivation? Don't forget, Sectmaster Ning has two Titled Douluos backing him."

Despite Tai Tan and Ning Fengzhi investigating Feng'ge's background, it was straightforward. Tang San knew Ning Fengzhi's willingness to negotiate stemmed because of his father. Wang Feng chuckled and was about to respond when a clear voice interrupted from outside the door.

"They wouldn't dare!" A gracefully walking figure entered the room, her expression still carrying a hint of anger. "If Dad and Grandpa Bone think they can threaten Wang Feng, I, Ning Rongrong, will make sure to put a stop to it!"

The person in question was Ning Rongrong. Tang San couldn't help but touch his nose, feeling a bit amused.

Despite Ning Rongrong's lingering frustration, she turned to Wang Feng with a worried look after her declaration. "Wang Feng, are you upset... about me telling my dad?"

"Of course, I am." Wang Feng replied bluntly. "I feel like punching you."

Ning Rongrong pouted and whispered, "Don't hit me. What do you want? Name three demands and I'll make it up to you, okay?"

With that, Ning Rongrong approached Wang Feng like a mischievous cat attempting to snatch a treat without getting caught, tugging at the corner of Wang Feng's clothes. Tang San, feigning ignorance, quickly averted his gaze.

Wang Feng shot her a glare, shook his head, and said, "No, how can I really be mad at you? Besides, if your father were to do something like that, he wouldn't be Ning Fengzhi."

Both Tang San and Ning Rongrong were surprised by this revelation.

"Do you know my father?" Ning Rongrong asked, astonished. "Have you ever met him?"

"No, not at all," Wang Feng smiled. "But who doesn't know Sect Master Ning of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Sect? He's renowned for his elegance and uniqueness, successfully leading the sect for over a decade without any hindrance. A wise leader fosters prosperity and peace for a long time over immediate greed."

Hearing this, Tang San and Ning Rongrong were taken aback.

"You know my dad's virtues?" Ning Rongrong questioned, "Even without meeting him?"

Wang Feng continued, "The name of Sect Master Ning is widely recognized in whole of soul master world. He's known for his virtue and wisdom in governing. It's hard to believe he would engage in treacherous or despicable acts."

Tang San and Ning Rongrong exchanged surprised glances. Is Uncle Ning truly as remarkable as Wang Feng describes? Perhaps talented, but could he be this extraordinary?

"Ahem."

A discreet cough echoed from outside the door, revealing Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo standing there.

Upon seeing them, Tang San felt a pang of bitterness, realizing he hadn't even noticed their presence at the door. It seemed Brother Feng had been aware all along, strategically choosing his words. Uncle Ning likely sensed the difficulty in approaching the matter directly.

Ning Rongrong, displaying her displeasure, glared at Ning Fengzhi. It was as if she were conveying, "If you dare to threaten Wang Feng, you should forget about acknowledging me as your daughter."

She wasn't naïve, she knew that by disclosing Wang Feng's secret to her father, he would undoubtedly focus on Wang Feng. However, if her father resorted to threats, she would vehemently oppose.

'Truly, a daughter is like water, even before marriage... wait, she isn't married yet? This girl is quite assertive.'

Ning Fengzhi cast a glance at his spirited daughter, sighing inwardly.

"Uncle Ning," Tang San addressed Ning Fengzhi.

Meanwhile, Wang Feng also turned his attention to Ning Fengzhi, feigning surprise. "Oh, so you're Rongrong's father? You look so young. I saw you outside the school earlier and thought you were Rongrong's elder brother. Never expected you to be Rongrong's father."

Ning Fengzhi remained silent, his response left hanging in the air as he was unable to process Wang Feng's cheekiness.

On the sidelines, Bone Douluo couldn't help but smile secretly. In his thoughts, this kid truly lived up to the reputation the Old Sword had given him—cunning like a fox, slippery, and utterly loophole-free.

Last time, it was evident that the Old Sword suffered a defeat at his hand, yet this kid managed to avoid a scolding.

"This kid is trickier than Tang San. So young, yet nearly perfect in understanding the whole situation." Bone Douluo mused silently.

Their initial intent in coming here was to stir up some trouble and ensure this kid would think twice before bothering Rongrong again. However, facing the current situation, Ning Fengzhi found himself at a loss for words.

Quietly positioned behind Ning Rongrong, both Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo anticipated that their daughter would approach Wang Feng. Ning Fengzhi had also caught wind of the immortal herb aspect. He understood that Rongrong wanted to make him aware of the remarkable abilities of the boy she admired, hence her revelation about Wang Feng's ability to cultivate immortal herb.

Ning Fengzhi acknowledged that this information should have been kept confidential among the few involved. However, he assumed Rongrong had her reasons, likely wanting to impress him of the boy's capabilities.

Contemplating the situation, Ning Fengzhi speculated that if Wang Feng discovered that Rongrong had divulged the secret of immortal herb cultivation, he might hold her responsible for causing trouble.

With this in mind, Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo discreetly followed Ning Rongrong, planning to intervene if Wang Feng accused Rongrong of bullying, providing an opportunity for Bone Douluo to deal with the boy.

After all, what better way for a father to step in for his daughter? Especially when the prestigious Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Sect wouldn't allow a Title Douluo to teach indiscriminately, even within their academy. Ning Fengzhi still valued his reputation.

Upon hearing the kid's earlier threat to Rongrong, Ning Fengzhi felt secretly pleased, ready to make his entrance. He was about to push the door open when, unexpectedly, the situation took an unexpected turn. The atmosphere suddenly shifted, and Ning Fengzhi felt a bit disoriented.

'Is this kid more cunning than the sly foxes in the empire and soul hall? A worth opponent, our battle will be... I'm getting side tracked here. If he thinks he can take my precious Rongrong away from me that easily, hmph!….' Ning Fengzhi thought, genuinely surprised.

"Since you're Rongrong's father, I'll boldly address you as Uncle Ning. I assume Uncle Ning is here to check on my injury, right?" Wang Feng spoke with gratitude.

"Uncle Ning, you're so kind. Your graciousness knows no bound. But don't worry, my injury isn't severe anymore, I'll just need a couple of days before I can engage in any fights. Thank you, Uncle Ning, for your concern and kindness."

Ning Fengzhi, still trying to process the unexpected turn of events, responded slowly, "If there's nothing else, take care of yourself. You've looked after Rongrong a lot in the academy, and she speaks highly of you. If that's the case, focus on your recovery and we'll catch up when the time is right."

After these words, Ning Fengzhi and Bone Douluo exchanged glances before gracefully exiting the room.
