Episode-7||"Heights of insanity"

"Hey David!", called out Sienna, releasing herself from David's arms. "Who is Nancy? I'm Sienna here. What are you talking about?", asked she. His smile faded slowly as he released her cheeks and frowned at her. She smiled, adding, "Feel free with me. You can tell me anything, David. "She extended her right hand and offered, "Friends?"

He ignored it and walked towards his car parked near the gate of the station. She shrugged and wondered, "Why is this guy so weird?", running behind him. He walked around and opened the car's door. Just as he was about to sit in, she caught his hand and demanded, "Stop! Why don't you respond to me? "She waved at him, highlighting, "Hello David! Can't you see me? I exist."

"Nancy? I never took that name. Did I? What are you talking about?", he tried to divert her.

"What! You just hugged me and promised that 'Nancy, I'm back. I will always be there for you and even in our first meeting at the night bar, you were so elated that you saved me. You were smiling happily with me a minute ago. Why did you suddenly turn serious now? What's wrong with you?", enquired she.

"So what? I am always serious.", argued he, sitting inside his car. She chuckled and smiled. She folded her hands, resting them on the window seat, teased him," Seriously? Come on, smile please. You won't become slimmer on smiling!" and laughed.

"It's none of your bloody business. Get lost now. I repeat I am always like this with strangers-frowning, frowning, and frowning.", concluded he, starting the engine.

"Stranger?", asked she, refusing," No, I am not a stranger to you, David. Didn't you save me at the bar?"

"No, I saved Nancy not you.", interrupted he.

She thanked him, "Anyways thanks a ton for saving me just on time, David! By the way, because of me, you are viral today. Did you check YouTube?"

He pressed the button. The window glass began sliding up, as he looked at the steering wheel and thought," 'Thanks a ton! 'I say this a lot. How weird! She too uses it.". The glass hit her a bit although she withdrew her hands. He peeped through the window to see her shrinking her eyes in pain. She massaged her left palm with her right and her right palm with her left; the arcs of the last night existed yet despite the reduction in rashes.

"Be careful!", exclaimed he, as the window's glass slid down. She turned at him, as he continued, "Don't you dare accept such risky duties ever again. Remember that you are a girl at first. "She raised her eyebrows as the car raced in front of her eyes.

Walking on the footpath, she wondered, "Such a weird guy he is. Neither did he thank me for saving him by bringing the timely CCTV footage nor did he thank me for getting his car safely and visiting him at the station during the hour of his release. Is he really serious all the time? "She pouted and imitated him, "Frowning, frowning and frowning yeah that's me!"

She laughed to herself, as she kicked a stone on the lonely road. She remembered how he fought for her at the bar and fell upon her whispering that he was happy to have not lost her this time." Nancy!", whispered she, "Who is she and why does he call me by her name? Is she his girlfriend?" She stopped walking and spoke, convincing herself, "Forget it, Sienna. That's it! You are not going to meet him anymore. He saved you so you saved him. Now, he is going with his life and you go with yours. Don't be a nosy girl"

"Are you mad?", asked a male voice from behind. She turned back and shrugged in surprise," David? You? Didn't you just leave? "He had parked his car beside the footpath and was peeping outside, frowning at her. He looked around to see the dark moon-lit street housing only the two of them and the cop sleeping inside the station opposite.

"Talking to yourself and walking on a lonely road, at this late hour. Don't you think you are repeating the same blunder? Have you gone nuts? Heights of insanity!", questioned he at which her sad eyes accumulating tears looked down on the ground.

"Come", said he, gesturing towards his slang. "I will drive you back home.", offered he.

"No problem. I will manage. Thanks a ton anyways!", said she.

They heard a gang of around five drunkards singing and walking unconsciously. "Beautiful girl. Oh, oh a sexy woman. Oh, oh I need one. Oh-oh!" sang a young man as the others too clapped. As the two saw them heading towards the footpath where Sienna stood, David shrugged at her and gestured towards his slang again.

Sienna swallowed her fear and looked at him. David came out of the car, jogged towards her, and insisted, "Let's leave right now. It's no longer safe for you here…"

"No, it's fine. I will go", declared she, sliding her handbag along her right shoulder.

"What the fuck? Are you serious?", yelled David. He pointed at the goons who had almost neared her and were checking her out. He asked her, "Don't you see those drunkard buffoons there? "She remained silent with her timid black eyes looking into his anxious brown eyes.

"How may I help you, pretty lady?", grumbled a man. No sooner had he extended his hand to touch her than David carried her in his arms. As he ran towards the car, she smiled at him and wondered, "Is he really protecting me now or is he protecting his Nancy? "He made her sit on the slang, jogged to his driver's seat, and began driving.

As soon as they left the street and entered the main road, he sighed, "Thank God! You are safe! "She looked outside through the window and stood like a silent kid.

"Directions?", asked he.

She looked back at him and shrugged, "What?"

"Sienna, tell me the directions to your home. I need to drop you, right?", explained he.

She smiled and wiped a drop of tear standing on her eyelashes. "I don't have a home", replied she.
