*** Important Notice: I have decided to make a few changes to the story to round out the characters. The main plot points will remain the same. I am also removing/ combining some chapters. Alex is your average 16 year old girl except for one problem, she is a walking disaster. She has no coordination, stumbling through her daily life attempting to avoid the destruction of anything and everything around her. Koa is an Elf Warrior of the High Guard. However, his black hair, something only seen in Dark Elves, has caused distrust. In order to prove himself, Koa agrees to embark on a journey to retrieve the three Mysteries of Power, starting with a book. They have nothing to do with each other. Then the two collide (quite literally), and everything changes, for both of them. Suddenly Alex finds herself in a different world stuck with an elf on an adventure of a lifetime. Except Alex is an accident on two legs and Koa has no time to save the world from evil. He’s too busy trying to save it from Alex.

Chapter 14

Koa stood in the shadows watching as people noisily entered the theatre. He mentally review the plan as he waited. Koa would wait at the back of the theatre for the back exit to be opened by Alex. Koa would then open the storage room, locate the book, and leave using the same door. Then he would simply leave Monarch. Well, that is what he told her anyway.

Koa did not mention that he intended to put Alex to sleep and relieve her of the necklace. This job was simple. Even that girl couldn't mess this up.

VROOM! Putputputput - suddenly the obnoxious sound of a motor lacking a muffler invaded the air. He, along with every other person in the vicinity watched as a bright yellow scooter puttered into the parking lot.

"Please tell me that isn't... Of course it is."

Koa's watched a brightly dressed Adamend remove a bright purple helmet and climb off the scooter. He pinched the bridge of his nose while attempting to sink further into the shadows. Unfortunately, the idiot wizard had already located Koa and was now running toward the elf while waving his arms around.

"Koa, look! I have acquired transportation for us! It should help us get away after mmph. " Koa had aggressively covered the wizard's mouth and glared at the wizard. Before he could reprimand Adamend he felt the presence of the thing he was waiting for and the girl who currently possessed it. He looked up and quickly found her.

Koa could tell Alex was nervous. She walked with her hands clasped together and her shoulders tense. Koa wasn't sure if her nervousness came from her role in his plan or because she was currently beside Dylon. Not that he cared as long as she didn't mess anything up. As the couple drew closer Koa made eye contact with Alex. His expression was enough to remind the girl of her role and what would happen if this mission went wrong. Her eyes widened slightly before turning toward her date and faking a smile. Koa frowned as he watched the two enter the building. For some reason Dylon pissed Koa off.

Koa turned away from the parking lot and started toward the back of the building. It no longer matters, Koa reminded himself. He would be gone from this dirty place soon.
