55 Volume 6 Chapter 9

The training program was approved by the hokage. I wanted to train in Gyuki's chakra.

For the upcoming termoil, I wanted to have control over this power so nothing unexpected could happen. I learnt my lesson with Satori. So I don't want to take any chance. I do not afraid death. But like every living being I want to continue living. So I will do my best to survive.

Tsunade agreed to lend me Yamato in cases of emergency. So that was another reassuring things.

I was already fine with converting Gyuki's chakra into my own reserves without causing any extra rampage. But I can't ignore the potential of tailed beast bomb and tailed beast transformation.

And on top of that. Gyuki is very cooperative. I would be a fool to decline this power.

So I started my training.

Soon I realised my problem.

My chakra pathways were not compatible with tailed beast chakra.

Most of the Jinjurikis like Killer Bee and Naruto became Jinjuriki in an early age.

So there pathways adopted during their growth.

I too became a Jinjuriki at thirteen. But by that time my pathways were already developed.

So now using tailed beast chakra is painful for me. Even adopting to one tails chakra took me a whole month.

The other rookies were about to take chunin exams in the hidden sand village in three months. And Tsunade wanted me to be the representative of hidden leaf. After our relationship with Kumo, Suna has been ignored. But after Garra because kazekage four months ago, the treties have been revised. Since the new Kazekage wanted a friendly relationship, it was easy. With minimum political games, Konoha now has alliance with two of the five great villages.

This time, the chunin exams were being held in hidden sand village. So Konoha has decided to send it's potential genins to the hidden sand.

Among them Rock Lee, Sakura Haruno, team eight, Ino and Choji were my friend.

But life wasn't fare. Not just for me but for everyone else.

Just a month before the chunin exams team eight ran into Sasori and Deidara.

An unfortunate event.

As a result Kiba died in battle.

Tenten couldn't believe that Kiba had died. She attended the funeral along with her other friends. According to the investigation team, they were on a mission to track down the daughter of the feudal lord of the land of grass who has been kidnapped. But someone else wanted the girl as well, So they had tasked Akatsuki to kidnap the girl from her kidnappers and to deliver her. Due to their tracking skills, Kiba, Shino and Hinata found the kidnappers first. It was a group of local bandits led by an ex-chunin from land of waterfall.

They were able to rescue the girl successfully. From the bandits.

But when they were returning, they were attacked by the members of Akatsuki. While Hinata was able to deflect the poison needles with rotation. Shino was able to pull off a substitution. Kiba could have dodged but in order rescue akamaru, he slowed down. They both got hit by the poison. Hinata and Shino decided to abandon the mission in order to save Kiba. But it was too late. By the time they reached the nearest outpost of Konoha, Kiba died.

It was a hard blow to Hinata.

"So how is your training going ?"

Tsunade asked Tenten.

"I can only use one tails worth chakra. Any more than that is too much for me." Tenten said, her voice has fraustration in it.

"Have you tried any unconventional methods ?" Tsunade asked her. Tenten, in past used to develop seals just to escape minor problems.

Now she is facing a major problem.

She has tried to seal away the effects of Satori's chakra on her heart. But she didn't succeed.

That's the first time she failed in achieving something with seals.

Then the matter with her being a Jinjuriki.

The main problem was her chakra coils. Tsunade had inspected them. Tenten's chakra coils were unique. They were thicker than most shinobi. Comparable to someone like Naruto. But still they should be able to take the burnt of Biju chakra.

That's the only reason she allowed her to train with Hachibi's chakra.

But there was another problem with her coils. They were weaker than regular shinobi. Tsunade could guess that this was the doing of the corrosive chakra. But that wasn't the end. Although fully healed, they were not compatible with Biju chakra.

A heavy amount of Biju chakra could potentially kill her.

But she isn't a child. She tried controlling the chakra even after knowing the risks. So Tsunade had to trust her Ninja to do the right thing.

That's why she expected Tenten to develop some types of unconventional seal to solve her problems.

Thankfully Danzo has been awafully quite all this time. But she didn't know that it was a good or bad news.

"I have tried. But nothing that I can call a full success.

A pain resistance seal and another to help me controlling the flow of chakra. But no permanent solution." Tenten admitted sadly.

"Don't worry. You are already strong enough. Now I have a mission for you." Tsunade tried to reassure Tenten. When she got her attaintion, she continued.

"It is a mission from Takigakure. Someone has stolen their hidden treasure. Naturally these types of mission was usually handled by their own shinobi. But it has been three months and they were unable to find the culprit. It was stolen by a rouge ninja from there village. Zonda is his name. An A rank nuke nin. They have requested for a joint mission. And I have approved it. They won't provide us the exact details about the items. But that's why they will send their own ninja. I am sending you along with Hinata and Shino to this mission. Your priority is your team's safety.

Do you understand ?"

Tsunade asked her.

"Yes, hokage sama." Tenten nodded.

"Very well. Here are the details. You have to reach there by next week. You can take your time. You are dismissed"
