Yun Xi also didn't mind them as she felt very pleased with this new name, so she went towards the little boy as she rubbed her head on his knees.

"Wow! Mommy, did you see it? Little Five likes me!" Little Chen was now even more excited after she showed him her adoration.

"Yeah, come with us Little Five. We will get you something to eat since you are already very well behaved and adorable," Chen's mother picked her up as they started to walk towards a shop where they sell homemade foods.

The family was not very well off, but they seemed to be very harmonious, Yun Xi smiled in her mind at the sight.

This was not something she had before or even now, but just seeing this happiness flowed in her heart like a sea of warmth.

All of them headed inside the shop, not noticing the strange change in the air.

After half an hour later,

Yun Xi's little tummy was quite full after a delicious feast like this. So after they came out of the shop, the Chen family finally bid goodbye to her as they will go shopping next.

Yun Xi also didn't mind as she started to walk around again, but when she saw the shadow lingering in the darkness, Yun Xi stopped in her tracks.

'Wasn't that… Feng Ming?'

'What was he doing here this time? Don't tell me that guy got lost again?'

The shadow felt strangely familiar for Yun Xi to recognise him so soon, Yun Xi skipped this thought as she moved closer to the shadow silently to hear what he was doing here.

"Sir, the situation is urgent. We can't simply ignore it!" Feng Ming really wished he could yell on top of his lungs right now, but he held himself back with difficulty. 

Jun Shang directly threw aside his mission just to find something and came back all the way to here in this area again.

But he can't let him do whatever he wants as he pleases, alright?

"Feng Ming, do you mind if I tell you to shut up for a bit?" a deep voice came from the shadows that startled Yun Xi. 

Feng Ming, "..."

'I swear I'm not angry, I'm not angry at all!' Feng Ming tried to remain calm as much as possible aside from the fact that the veins on his forehead was popping up.

'Isn't that… Jun Shang?'

'What was he doing here?'

Yun Xi became alert when she heard Feng Ming was talking with someone, but she expected it to be Jun Shang himself.

Yun Xi hid herself even more when she heard the deep but strangely sweet voice of Jun Shang.

But Jun Shang didn't notice Yun Xi as he frowned and continued to say, "I know very well what I am doing. Since when do I need you to tell me what I should do and what I shouldn't?"

Feng Ming suppressed the urge to yell back at him as he said with a calm voice, "Sir, is finding an unknown little black cat more important than the welfare of our country?"

Jun Shang didn't reply as he turned around and looked at the ground a few meters away from him.

"Who goes there?" His sudden question made Feng Ming come back into reality as he suddenly felt like he was being so unguarded all this time. 

Even Yun Xi felt a chill on her body when she felt the dark and murderous intent in the air that Jun Shang released. 

Damn!

I didn't come here to die! I just accidentally heard something that I shouldn't have heard, so don't freaking try to kill me!

Yun Xi really wanted to curse, but even if she did. Not only will she sound like a cat, but also the chance of her getting killed will also increase!

'Should I just run away?' Yun Xi was thinking about the moment when the figure in the shadow appeared before her without giving her time to escape.

"Meow, meow, meow!" Yun Xi struggled to get herself free from the hands of Jun Shang. 

But instead, he directly put her on his chest as he tried to pet her to calm her down.

"Calm down, kitty. I won't hurt you." Jun Shang said with a tone as much as he can, moisturizing his voice.

'Calm down my foot! You are the one who is making me restless!' Yun Xi scolded the man in her heart, but slowly stopped moving after getting patted by him for a long time.

"What? Isn't it that black cat from before? How did it end up here?" Feng Ming was stunned to see the cat in his boss's arms as he pointed his finger towards it.

He didn't notice the presence of this cat just now, but he knew how intelligent this little thing was.

"It's alright. Anyway, I was here to find her, weren't I?" Jun Shang smiled faintly as he stroked through Yun Xi's fur which made her even more docile.

Damn!

Get your hand off of my fur! You'll make me become naked if you continue to do this!'

Even though Yun Xi felt like this in her mind, somehow she felt undeniably good by his warm hand scratching on her fur.

Is this how the cats feel being teased by their owners?
