Aftermath (2)

It was night when I woke up.

The room was completely dark, so it took a minute for my eyes to adjust, but I remembered that I had fallen asleep after coming back from the demon order meeting.

I was going to lie in bed for a bit after realizing that it was all over, but I could hear voices coming from outside. The tone that they had made it seem like they were worried about something.

As I listened closely, I recognized that it was the voices of Madame Rose and Cecilia.

It was clear that there was something wrong.

So I put on my clothes and walked out.

When I came out, the voices suddenly stopped as both of them suddenly turned to look at me.

I couldn't help being surprised, but it wasn't because they were both looking at me. It was because they were looking at me with strange looks.

There was even a trace of what seemed to be fear in their eyes as they looked at me, but that quickly disappeared. All that was left was worry and confusion.
