Chapter 20 - Jealousy

Author's note: Hey guys, I am excited because this is the twentieth chapter. When I started writing this, I didn't believe I will even reach chapter 10, but here I am. Even though I have little to no readers, I am happy.

Funmi woke up to find herself in a dungeon. It was dark. It made her cringe. She naturally hated the dark. What was she doing here? And who brought her here? She wondered.

OMG! She was kidnapped!

Her mind quickly snapped back to how she went to get the chairs and suddenly felt someone's hands wrap her mouth and nose.

She stood up, terrified. For some reason, she wasn't locked. In fact, the door to the dungeon was opened and all she could think of was to run away.

But wait a minute, who would kidnap her and leave the door open?

This didn't feel right so she preferred not to run. They might be waiting outside for her. They might even kill her the moment she steps out.

How did she get into this? Nobody knew how Mayowa got missing and now her? Her father would totally collapse.

She observed the place thoroughly. It was dirty, with cobwebs everywhere. She moved around to find people in the most disgusting conditions. Some were bleeding profusely, while some had their hands or legs hanging from their body. She almost puked.

What crime had this people committed to deserve this?

To say they were women among them, made it only more brutal. Though, clearly the men were more in number.

Funmi wanted to get out of here. Is this what she was going to face? A tear escaped her eyes as it trickled down her cheeks, stopping on her neck bone.

"Don't worry, this won't happen to you" she heard a familiar voice say, making her heart skip a beat. Her legs were shaking so much, that anyone could notice. It looked like she would fall but she managed to turn her head. Since it was a familiar voice, her curiosity was stronger.

"Would you want this to happen to your boyfriend as well?" the person asked.

She was shocked to find out it was Prince Dayo. Why would he kidnap her? What did she do?

"My Pri...pri...pri..pri" she couldn't get a word out. It was so unexpecting.

"Yes it is me. Now, back to my question. I asked, would you like to this to happen to your boyfriend as well?" he repeated.

She was shocked. What has her boyfriend got to do with this? From what she knew, the prince didn't know him. They had no business together so why would he say this?

"Answer me!" Prince Dayo raised his voice. Her silence was getting on his nerves. The anger he had been trying to control ever since he had found out about this boyfriend was wanting to jump out.

"N-no my Prince" was all Funmi could say.

She didn't even understand what he meant but she had to say something, especially when he had raised his voice like that. She noticed that he was also here with someone, probably his right hand man

"Good, then you break up with him tomorrow" Dayo continued.

"My-my-my pri-prince?" Funmi stuttered confused. What did he mean by that? Why would he want her to break up with her boyfriend? Was she doing anything against the rules of the kingdom? Last time she checked, it was legal.

"Yes" Dayo replied. He knew she would have questions. Who wouldn't?

"Can I ask why?" Funmi asked, gathering some courage.

"Because I like you and I don't share my things, most especially my women" Dayo said bluntly.

Funmi's eyes widened. she didn't expect this revelation. Then she blinked uncontrollably. How did it happen and where? Mayowa's disappearance has been the issue ever since so when did it all start?

Whatever, she wasn't liking it. She loved her boyfriend so much and she didn't want to lose him. She admitted she went for the parade and the prince's birthday, but she only did that because of her father. She wasn't planning to marry a royal. She was more than okay with her boyfriend. They had both planned their lives together.

God, why was this happening?

"My Prince, I don't understand" Funmi said truly.

"What don't you understand?....ok, I love you and I want you to be mine. Is that better?" he smirked unconsciously. Right now, he couldn't control his reactions. His heart was beating and he was sweating and the annoying thing is that he didn't know why.

She is just a girl for God's sake!

Funmi didn't know what to think. Was this a joke or was he serious? What could have made him take interest in her? She thought.

Anyway, she decided to speak her mind "But I don't love you".

she raised her head that she had keeping down to look at him. She wanted him to see that she wasn't joking.

Dayo narrowed his eyes. His blood was boiling like as if he was inside in a volcano. He wanted so bad to rip that boyfriend of hers on pieces, cutting him little by little to his own enjoyment. He wanted to hear him scream " I will leave Funmi!".

Deep down, he didn't like how he felt but he couldn't explain why? He was a fun person, very slow to anger but now....everything gets him pissed. With Funmi, it is times ten.

"I don't care. If you can't let me love you, then no one will" Dayo said feeling hurt.

Funmi took a step forward. She wanted to be bold. Though she knew she was dealing with a royal, she had rights as a citizen of OSU. Osu is known everywhere for its integrity, especially when it comes to protecting women and girl's rights.

This is a prince, he surely wouldn't want to destroy such integrity. She thought.

She put both her hands by the side, tightening them as she looked deeply and strongly into Dayo's face.

"My Prince, you have no right to do that. If you can't have me, you have no right to stop others of doing so"

Dayo was so angry. He was a prince, he clenched his fist together making Funmi's heart skip a beat. His right hand man placed his hands on his shoulders, signalling him to relax.

"Watch me" he smirked.

"Davi?!" he called loudly, even though he was by his side.

"Yes my prince" Davi replied as he quickly came to stand in his front.

"Show our brave princess here what I can do"

"Yes my Prince"

Davi reached to get her, while she moved back.

"Don't come near me"
