The First List

Robert POV.

Red Keep, King's Landing.

"THE FIRST LIST BEGINS!!!"

The voice sounded out and all present quietened in anticipation and in order not to miss a single word.

"In order to prevent any confusion about the rankings, an explanation will be given now about how people will be ranked". The voice continued

"The list ranks people that are currently alive based on their skill level, feat from now to the future".

"For example the list might rank someone who is a child now among the Warriors list and might not know much, but this is based on what they would achieve from now on, their best feats from now on to the highest performance they can reach in the future"

"If an old man ranks in the list, it takes into account his skill level and strength now not what he would achieve later on as he would be weaker, but the rankings would take into account the future of the ones not yet in their prime". The voice explained.

There were murmurings and shouts in the courtyard that began to grow louder and louder, the noise was getting irritating and not allowing Robert to think, he did not understand what the voice was going on about and he did not like that.

"Enough!! Quit your murmurings and let me know what is going on". Robert shouted and jumped from his seat.

The crowd heard his shout and the voices of the crowd began to lower then it stopped, when the noise had stopped he turned to Varys who was present and asked him "What is the meaning of what the voice said?".

"Your grace, the voice meant people that are alive now and in top form, someone like ser Arthur Dayne of the King's Guard, if he were still alive will rank quite high on the scroll but since he is not alive, he will not be on the rankings instead someone else like Jaime Lannister will be ranked instead". Varys replied, the silence carrying his voice through the crowd allowing the royal family, the high borns and all present to understand what the scroll said.

"Of course Jaime would rank on the scroll, quite high in fact, he the best swordsman in the seven kingdoms and my brother". Cersei said while feeling extremely proud. Robert gets annoyed from such a smug statement and said "Nobody asked you anything woman! Varys, continue your explanation".

"Yes, your grace" Varys said and continued his explanation, "Ser Barristan Selmy to will also be on this rankings because even he is a bit old, his skill with the sword is very high but he would be ranked even though his ranking will be lower than Ser Jaime because he has passed his prime".

Varys continued "It will not take account of Ser Barristan abilities when he was young and at his peak, instead it would measure the current Ser Barristan highest capability and rank it, that also means your grace that if the crown prince Joffrey Baratheon will have the same level of skill his uncle Ser Jaime has now in the future, he will also be ranked on the scroll even if he does not have the prowess now because he will have it in the future and he has not passed his prime. The ranking only takes into account the present and the future, your grace". Robert now understood but he was not happy, Cersei and Joffrey were smiling because they had a chance of getting the rewards because Jaime is a Lannister.

"That was a splendid explanation Varys" Cersei complimented smiling, probably because Varys said that both Jaime and Joffrey could be on the rankings.

"Hmph, he does know what to say after all" said Joffrey while smirking, the little shit feeling proud when he had not done anything yet.

The din resumed in the courtyard as people understood the explanations, Robert was not happy with this as he now knows that with how the scroll does the rankings he won't be on it because his past feats, victories and accomplishments will not be on the rankings because he now fat an has gotten rusty because of all the whoring and drinking he had been doing, there might be no chance for him to bring back his Lyanna because if Jaime is on the rankings he would give his rewards to his sister or his father Tywin not him because the Lannisters would not want to see Lyanna in this world.

Robert looking left and right before spotting Ser Barristan Selmy, hope bloomed in his heart because there was a chance to get a ranking reward from him because he is a loyal king's guard.

"Selmy, if you get a good reward you can sell it to me if you want, I will give you a good price for it". Robert said while feeling very hopeful.

"Very well, your grace" replaced Ser Barristan Selmy while standing guard.

Many faces including Cersei changed when they heard that, they could already imagine what Robert would do with the reward, he was very well likely to resurrect Lyanna and place her in Cersei's position, the Lannisters would not take that insult and a war would take place. Cersei had become angry and was ready to lash out at Robert when the Voice sounded out again.

On the scroll appeared the title; 'TOP 10 WARRIORS'. Then the numbers 1 all the way to 10 appeared.

"NUMBER 10 JORAH MORMONT" the voice announced.

The scroll began to show scenes of Jorah fighting to the death against 5 other Warriors in the fighting pits of Mereen.

"A Mormont?" Robert asked.

"Yes, he is a Mormont your grace, a Northerner" Varys said, "How come he not famous if he is among the strongest fighters in the world?"

"Because he is not in Westeros, he is in Essos, I recognise that place, it is the fighting pits of Mereen, there slaves a pit against each other to battle to the death only the strongest survive".

"So, is he a slave now?" Robert asked while the people present listened attentively.

"No, your grace, he is a fugitive and exile who escaped to Essos from Northern Justice". Varys replied. "He married Lysene Hightower and she has expensive tastes, he was caught selling poachers on his lands to slavers, he ran away to escape Northern justice, your grace".

"He is just criminal then". Robert replied.

"Your grace, my contacts said he misses home and wants to go back to the North, he has not sold anybody else since he was exiled and he wishes for a royal pardon" Vary said.

"A strong Warrior for the North then, let us all see his reward first" Robert replied while thinking, this would be a good boon for him and Ned if he could return such a strong Warrior to the North.

General POV

The scene on the scroll showed Jorah cutting down each warrior one by one until finished them of and was rising up looking at somewhere that was not shown.

The scene was then removed from the scroll and replaced by the ranking, then with a flash Jorah Mormont's name appeared on the tenth position.

"TENTH POSITION REWARD; 2 BODY STRENGTHNING PILL"

"THE GIVES THE EATER THE STRENGHT OF THREE MEN".

The scroll then showed Jorah looking at the sky from a market place in Pentos, Jorah was obviously shocked to see himself on the scroll, his surprise could not be hidden and it was seen clearly in his face " The scroll is showing me right now" , he was shocked again to hear his voice coming from the scroll and everyone hearing it were shocked also, the people beside him the plaza were shocked and turned to look at him, surprised that the 10th ranked warrior in the known world was standing beside them with them also shown beside him on the scroll.

Jorah's POV.

"Would you like to use 1 pill now?" the voice asked, everyone could hear him and the question asked, "Yes I would" he replied, "Endure the pain" the voice said, "What pain". Then it hit him and he dropped to his knees as lights surrounded him in a circle.

General POV

As soon as he dropped to his knees a scream escaped his mouth before he forcefully grit his teeth and endured the pain, some people took the opportunity to rush towards him only to be stopped and thrown far away as all the people watched.

"Items cannot be stolen from owner, attacking during the strenghtning and reward giving process is against the rules, offenders will punished" the voice sounded out again.

The world watched as those who tried to interfere started to look as if they were great pain before they started crumbling into dust.

The whole world watched while being terrified, those who planned to interfere started to change their plans.

The lights surrounding Jorah dropped band world was surprised that he looked different, he became taller and his clothes had rips in it due his increase in size, when he tried jump to his feet, he was flung to great height before he dropped.

The scene cleared from the scroll and showed the ranking list but the whole world was still in shock, they were clearly in awe of the power of the scroll.

Many Warriors saw this and began to be hopeful and prayed that they would enter the rankings.
