5 5 Academy

In the Konoha orphanage, there was currently a boy at the age of 8 asleep on one of the lower bunks. He had a fair but robust skin as his body was quite toned for a kid. This was currently Shigeo who had grown since two years ago.

He was now 4'3 feet in height and was slightly taller than his peers. He had also grown in strength and could now fight genin level opponents with ease.

In the room that Shigeo was sleeping in, the door suddenly opened to reveal the matron.

"You boys, wake up!" She yelled making the four boys in the room get up.

"Ugh"

"Baa-chan!"

The yells of his fellow orphans made Shigeo fully awake as he rubbed his eyes. As he got up from his bed he remembered something before he turned to the matron who also saw his look and nodded.

"It's what you have been waiting for Shigi-kun" The matron said.

"Today start the day all of you would be admitted to the academy" She said as all the others boys got excited as they heard that.

"Now all of you get ready and eat breakfast. One of the teachers from the academy will come by to take all of you to the academy" The matron said before she headed out of the room.

'Finally, it's time to start the academy. I should be able to go to the library there which has more than the regular library found outside the academy' Shigeo thought. During the past few years he had tried to go to the library but it had nothing useful.

There were two libraries found in Konoha, one in the academy and one that anyone could access. The one in the academy was actually a library that all ninja's use and isn't just limited to students. There are different levels that could be accessed and could only be accessed by the ranks of shinobi's. An academy student could access the first floor, genin on the 2nd, chunin on the third, and jonin on the 4th.

'appraisal' Shigeo muttered as he got dressed.

'I need to train Geppo, Shigan, and Rokugan more to at least Intermediate level' Shigeo thought. Those three were the only ones he the least proficient in regarding the Rokushiki style.

As for Haki wise, it was hard but he at least managed to make his observation Haki to the Intermediate level in which he could sense those around him in a 15 meter radius. As for Armament Haki, when he coats his hands using it, although he feels it strengthened. It still not to the point his hands turn to the color black.

As for his proficiency in his Goro Goro no mi powers, he had also got it up to the Intermediate level. He could now fully change his body into lighting albeit it does take a lot of his chakra. He could also dish out D to C ranked attacks continuously without it taking too much chakra out of him.

The Intermediate level was right after the basic level and he was somewhat correct. When using he first used Soru to the point of looking like a blur, his status changed to show he reached the Intermediate level. He reckoned if he reached the point of looking like teleportation using Soru, it would once again be classified as the next level.

Once Shigeo finished changing and eating he was to line up with others his age. There were about another 15 to 20 orphans in the orphanage the same age as him that were also going to the academy so he had to group up with them as they waited for one of the teachers to pick them up.

Suddenly as they waited the matron came in with a man with silver hair. Judging from the man's outfit, it signified that he was one of the teachers of the academy and the person that would bring Shigeo and the others to the academy.

"Alright everyone quiet down, I know you are all excited. This is Mizuki-san and he is one of the teachers of the academy. Not only is he a full fledged chunin but he is also the one that will bring escort you all to the academy. Now all of you behave and listen to him as he will be one of your teachers" the matron said.

"Yes baa-chan!" all the kids except Shigeo who just nodded said.

Mizuki nodded before he looked at the group of kids and began talking. " Alright everyone, please form a single file line and follow me"

Everyone nodded and did as they were told. Shigeo shrugged as he went to the back of the line since he didn't really bother talking with the others. He wasn't close to anyone in the orphanage even before he got his memories, he even barely knew their names and they have been together for years.

One they got to the academy they saw that the front of the academy was crowded with children of similar ages.

Misuki then turned towards them and spoke " Alright everyone, we will part ways here. All of you go to where the other kids are and wait in line. The hokage will make a speech that is very important"

The kids all nodded eagerly once they heard the word 'hokage' as Mizuki looked satisfied and left to join the other teachers.

Shigeo looked at the chunin that was leaving and thought to himself 'Mizuki, why does that sound familiar. Well anyway he gives me bad vibes, I'll have to watch out for him.'

After he was done thinking he too went to the crowd and saw his two friends. Seeing them he smiled and joined them.

"Oi Shika, Choji!" He called out as the duo turned to look at him.

"Ah, Shigi! Good morning, you're here too huh" Choji said as he greeted Shigeo.

"Of course, you think I would miss out in becoming a ninja?" Shigeo questioned before Shikamaru butted in.

"God, would you guys be quiet? It's so early in the morning" Shikamaru said.

"Hey, what's up with you?" Shigeo asked causing Choji to laugh.

"Don't mind him, Shigi. He didn't want to come but his mom dragged him here, look Aunt Yoshino is over there" Choji pointed to where the children's parents were at.

Following his gaze he saw a woman in her late 20's with brown hair looking at them. Seeing Choji point at her she waved at them as they except for Shikamaru waved back.

"Yeah, that does sound like Aunt Yoshino for you" Shigeo laughed.
