13 Upper Jaw of the Red Dragon

Central Continent

Upper Jaw of the Red Dragon, a valley where hundreds of dragons reside.

"Can someone remind me why we're in this place, where even the devil doesn't come?" A blonde-haired elf said with trembling voice.

"Hmph, Elinalise, didn't you want a new sword? And Captain Riveria needs a core for her new scepter, dragon's teeth, and dragon's magic core are perfect for that," a muscular dwarf replied with a snort.

"Yes, but we could have gone to the lower jaw, where the small dragons are. Why do we have to climb to the upper jaw, where the giant dragons are? Do you want to end our lives, Talhand Bastard?" Elinalise shouted at the dwarf Talhand.

"Tsk, cursed elf, didn't you hear the phrase, the best for the best? I won't accept crap materials in my weapons," his dwarf pride refused to accept poor materials.

Before Elinalise and Talhand could start fighting for the thirteenth time since they climbed up, Riveria interrupted them.

"Alright, stop fighting. We just have to stay hidden, find a dragon that's alone, catch it off guard, and we're set," Riveria said calmly.

"Tsk, Elinalise, you're such a coward, a few lizards can scare you. I thought with your long time as an adventurer, things like dragons wouldn't scare you," Kaylon looked disdainfully at Elinalise.

"Hehe, the reason I've lived so long as an adventurer is because I don't do stupid things like you," Elinalise retorted disdainfully as well.

"Hmph, Elinalise, what do you have to worry about when our God is with us," Talhand put on a proud face and pointed confidently.

"What? I only came here to see you get beaten up, don't think I'll help unless you're nearly dead; I'm not a babysitter," Kaylon shook his head, he's not a nanny.

"Umm, I think we should go down, materials from small dragons still work for me," Talhand suddenly lost his confidence.

"We've come up this far, we'll fight. With this fight, we might achieve the feat needed to upgrade the falna," Riveria refused to back down. She recently reached the maximum of level 5 and needs a great feat if she wants to upgrade to level 6.

"Well, if my lovely captain says so, then I'll stay until the end," Elinalise, as a reliable right hand, is willing to risk it all for her captain. Besides, she's already reached the level 4 limit; maybe with this feat, she can upgrade.

"Well, what can be done, let's show those lizards how tough the Rozzo family is," Talhand scratched his head helplessly, but still raised his weapon with a determined look.

"Look over there! There's a dragon that's alone, and it looks like it's sleeping," Elinalise pointed to a huge red dragon lying under an inclined rock.

"Alright, listen, we'll do it like this..." Riveria began to organize the team.

Meanwhile, Kaylon flew to a nearby rock to observe the show.

After a while, the plan seemed clear, and the three slowly walked towards the dragon.

Once close to the dragon, Riveria took her staff and began to prepare a spell.

Meanwhile, Elinalise gently took her sword, aiming at the dragon, then whispered and activated her skill.

"Mana burst!" A violent amount of mana covered Elinalise's sword, and then with extreme speed, she shot towards the dragon.

Aiming at the small part of its exposed neck, she plunged her sword as deeply as she could into its neck, breaking the sword in the process.

~Crash~

-GAHHHHHH GAHHHHH-

The previously sleeping dragon opened its eyes abruptly, and a painful roar escaped its mouth.

Immediately, it looked for who had hurt it, and upon seeing a small figure running from it, it knew who the culprit was.

- GRAAAAA -

Roaring fiercely, it lunged towards the elf, with its huge jaws wide open.

" TALHAND! " Shouting in fear, Elinalise gave the signal.

A small but thick shadow fell from the sky at great speed and crashed into the ground.

~BAM~ ~BAM~

"Earthquake!!!" Talhand, who launched his skill.

Like an earthquake, the vibrations caused the ground to erupt, and everything for kilometers trembled.

The dragon, about to attack Elinalise, upon being hit by the large amounts of rocks and the strong vibrations, was sent flying towards a nearby hill.

~BOOMM~

"Captain, it's time!" Elinalise and Talhand shouted to Riveria at the same time.

Riveria, who had prepared the spell, began to chant rapidly.

"Destroy everything in your path until they turn to ashes at once! Advanced Victory Sword——" Riveria chanted ultra-long-range magic.

The towering column of fire, seeming to want to pierce the sky, crashed against the dragon, which didn't even have time to react before the fire consumed it.

Advanced Victory Sword, Riveria's second most powerful magic, capable of skipping levels, its destruction is immense. This magic is one of the reasons why Riveria earned the title of the strongest magister in Orario in the original work. (Originally it was the first, but in my work, she has a stronger one, which I will show later.)

Elinalise and Talhand, who had already run several thousand meters away, still were swept away by the magic and sent flying.

Talhand used his body to protect Elinalise, who had less resistance than him.

Kaylon, who was watching in amazement, was also pushed back by the magic, but a thin layer of mana covered his body, protecting him.

"Hehe, my Riveria is incredible," a proud smile appeared on Kaylon's face.

After a while, the effects of the magic calmed down, and all the dust settled.

The previously majestic dragon now looked pitiful, with a huge hole covering the lower part of its stomach and multiple wounds.

(The dragon had a level between 5 High - 6 Low. Riveria has a maximum level of 5, and with her firepower, she could kill the dragon only if she catches it by surprise. But if the dragon realizes, she would be in trouble because Riveria is a mage, and her physical stats are much lower than the dragon's, hence the help of Elinalise and Talhand.)

"Oh, thank God, much of his body is intact," Talhand felt relieved; with that explosion, he thought the dragon's body had exploded into pieces.

"Hehe, as expected of my lovely captain," Elinalise raised her thumb.

"And now, how do we handle this?" Riveria looked at the huge dragon's body, suddenly thinking of something, and looked at her God who had approached her position.

Elinalise and Talhand also looked at their God.

"Tsk, you guys are exploiters," Kaylon crouched down and touched the dragon, immediately after which the dragon disappeared.

"Thank you, Kami-sama," Riveria smiled sweetly.

"Hmph, Riveria, remember that when we return to Orario, I won't be able to accompany you to the dungeon, and naturally, I won't be able to help you. When we arrive in Orario, you have to fix your helpers," Kaylon told Riveria seriously.

"Yes, I understand, Kami-sama. As soon as we arrive in Orario, I'll fix that right away," Riveria nodded seriously.

"Hehe, Riveria-chan is so cute when she's serious," Elinalise smiled and hugged Riveria.

"Elinalise, let go of me, don't touch me there, kyaaa," Riveria struggled to get out of Elinalise's claws and blushed when she felt a naughty hand.

"Hey, Elinalise, you bastard, how dare you touch my woman," Kaylon rolled up his sleeves and grabbed Elinalise's head and pulled her away.

"Nooo, Riveria belongs to everyone, you can't hog her!" Elinalise refused to let go.

"You guys, stop groping me!!" Riveria shouted with embarrassment and anger.

"Lucky for us, we're in a place where there's no one but dragons, or else the Rozzo family's face would be completely lost," Talhand watched the scene with embarrassment.

~THUMP~ ~THUMP~

Suddenly, heavy footsteps could be heard nearby.

"Hey, who the hell is interrupting my chance to grope Riveria?" Kaylon, who was "saving" Riveria and at the same time taking advantage of the situation, grumbled dissatisfied.

After turning his gaze, he came face to face with the sight of three giant dragons.

Kaylon stayed silent for a while, and then shouted loudly.

"Guys, run!! H-hey, guys?" Kaylon, who tried to warn his three companions, realized that there was no one by his side.

"Confirmed, you guys are the worst family of all," Kaylon said with a dark face.

"Hey dragon friends, how about we have a peaceful conversation?"

~BUM~ ~BUM~

...

After a few minutes, Kaylon could be seen descending intact without even a speck of dust on his clothes.

"Today was a fruitful day," Kaylon smiled with satisfaction, thinking about his family's feats today.

It's been 4 years since they recruited Elinalise and Talhand.

During this time, many things have happened in that amount of time.

After recruiting Elinalise, they went to recruit Talhand, and after a day of persuasion, he joined.

Since then, over time, both of them have integrated into the family wonderfully.

First, Elinalise, who as Kaylon initially thought, her relationship with Riveria from the start was very good, and after 4 years of forging friendship, they have become practically inseparable sisters.

Since the curse was lifted from Elinalise, she has changed a lot. First of all, not having to sleep with men every day was liberating.

Although she had already gotten used to that life, no woman would like to be tied to sex to live.

And since then, she has been a new woman. She herself declared that unless it's a handsome, strong, and interesting man, she won't sleep with anyone.

Besides, now she seems to be looking for a stable relationship. Kaylon has no idea if it will work out or not, but at least now she can do what she wants.

After Kaylon told her his desires for her to be Riveria's right hand, she immediately accepted, and since then she has taken her job very seriously.

All her knowledge was carefully passed on to Riveria.

About Talhand, well, he's a simple man; give him a blacksmith workshop and good beer, and he'll call anyone family.

During this time, he has built a good relationship with him; they both share a simple and relaxed mindset.

Regarding his relationship with Riveria and Elinalise, it's good. It doesn't compare to the relationship between Riveria and Elinalise, but it's still very good.

About his talents, well, remembering the idea of when he put on his falna, Kaylon couldn't help but put a smile from ear to ear.

...

Flashback

"Come on, Elinalise, undress," Kaylon said eagerly.

"T-this, Kami-sama, I don't think Riveria would like this, and besides, Riveria is my friend..." Elinalise clung to her clothes and looked at her God cautiously.

Kaylon's face darkened, "I need to put the falna on your back, idiot."

"Ohh! Sorry, Kami-sama Tehee," Elinalise coquettishly stuck out her tongue.

Then carefully, she lifted her top, exposing her back, then lay down on the bed.

Kaylon, sitting next to Elinalise, took a needle, pricked his finger, a drop of golden blood escaped from his fingers, and fell slowly onto Elinalise's back.

Elinalise suddenly felt chains she didn't know were there breaking, then she felt a sensation of strength and sublimation.

"What you're feeling now is the release of all your potential, also the seed of divinity planted in your soul," Kaylon explained.

"Seed of divinity?" Elinalise asked confusedly.

"Umu, most people think the falna is just an enhancer, but truly what the falna does is plant a seed of divinity in you, and as you level up, the seed begins to grow until it sprouts," Kaylon, as a primordial God, naturally knows the secret of the falna.

"Incredible, so in the future, could I become a God??" Elinalise was stunned by the news.

"Hehe, it takes a lot of talent and perseverance for that. The person who came closest in Genkai was a woman from the Hera family, who reached level 9, but even she was still far from divinity."

"Oh," Elinalise said a little disappointed.

"Haha, don't worry. With me as your God, you have plenty of time, and remember, there are many worlds to visit, the possibilities are endless," Kaylon smiled brightly.

"Hehe, then I'm really happy that you're my God," Elinalise smiled sincerely.

"Now stay still, what I'll do now is convert your previous strength stats into the falna, that'll prevent you from being a level one with the strength of a level 4, that would attract too much attention," Kaylon had already thought of a way for the strength of his future members to be recorded in the falna.

Elinalise felt her whole body becoming weak, which scared her, but then she felt her strength entering her body again, little by little.

"And here it is, ohh! You have a nice status, Elinalise."

"Let me see, Kami-sama."

"Wait, I'll translate it, ready, take it."

Elinalise took her status and read it carefully.

"Incredible, what are 'Without Chains' and 'Mana Burst'? Did I really gain a new skill?" Elinalise was amazed to see her stats, especially her new skills.

"That's right, congratulations, you gained two incredible skills, especially 'Without Chains' is an incredible skill," Kaylon sincerely praised; that skill is really very powerful, it's capable of reversing abnormal states, which already enters the level of altering reality, of course, to a very small degree but still very significant.

"Incredible," Elinalise's eyes sparkled; she loves these skills, especially 'Without Chains', it makes her feel truly free.

"Well, well, keep that status safe; it doesn't matter much here, but in Orario, you'll have to burn them as soon as you read them, if the gods know about your skills, you'll have hundreds of them chasing you."

It's not that Kaylon is afraid of them, but the gods are shameless when it comes to something new or fun; they can risk their lives for it.

"I understand, Kami-sama," Elinalise nodded seriously.

"Now go, let Talhand in," Kaylon dismissed her without ceremony.

"Alright!" Elinalise left excited to tell Riveria about her incredible skills.

After Elinalise left, a burly dwarf entered after a while.

"Kami-sama, I'm here," Talhand said loudly.

"Take off your shirt, well, first I'll tell you about the falna; look, the falna is..."

After repeating all the information he gave to Elinalise, Kaylon applied the falna again.

"Look, take it, it also has an excellent status," Kaylon nodded satisfied.

[Talhand] (does not mention his last name)

Level 4

Skill value:

Strength: A800

Durability: A890

Dexterity: E470

[Skill]:

·Earthquake

Offensive skill

Development capacity:

[Mage H] [Resistance F] [Scout G] [Blacksmith F] [Mystery I]

"Is this status considered good?" Talhand asked somewhat nervously.

"Haha, very good. The mere fact of having a skill when receiving a blessing is already considered excellent, not to mention the fact that your Blacksmith is F, probably only three people surpass you in Orario, and of course, the legendary Mystery, an enigma even for the Gods, Mystery means endless possibilities." Kaylon said with a big smile.

"Is that so! What a relief," Talhand smiled happily. Since he was a child, he was rejected in his village for not being like the other dwarves; he disappointed many people who trusted him, so since he joined, he always had a fear of disappointing his God and his new family.

"Talhand, you're my son since you joined my family, I'll never despise you, just trust in your family, give your maximum effort, like all of us, we are your support, not your burden," Kaylon placed a hand on Talhand's shoulder and said seriously.

"Thank you, Kami-sama, I really appreciate it," Talhand lowered his head trying to hold back his tears, then after a while he lifted his face and smiled more confidently.

"Hahahaha, that's right, that's the confidence my children should have," Kaylon laughed heartily.

After talking a little more, Talhand left the room with a higher spirit than ever before. (If you want to know more about him, search his wiki)

After a moment, the door opened, and Riveria entered with a bright smile, clearly in good spirits.

"Hehe, you look happy," Kaylon smiled and looked at Riveria.

"How could I not be, with talents like them, hahaha, Kami-sama, our family will surely be the strongest," Riveria raised her fist and said loudly.

"Surely, now come on, it's your turn, it's been a while since you updated," Kaylon patted the bed, signaling for the elf to come.

"Uhh, alright Kami-sama," Riveria nodded, then with a flushed face, she walked to her God's side and gently removed her robe.

Riveria's beautiful porcelain-like skin was exposed, and Kaylon couldn't help but stare at her for a while.

Riveria, noticing her God's gaze, buried her head in the pillow, embarrassed.

Kaylon also stopped teasing Riveria and went straight to business.

Pricking himself again and updating her falna, Kaylon looked at the content and smiled, then translated it carefully and handed it to Riveria.

"Look, Riveria, very close to level 6, a heroic feat will get you there," Kaylon said excitedly.

Riveria also smiled and then carefully took the paper from her God's hand.

[Magic D] [Healing F] [Abnormal resistance F] [Spiritual Healing H] [Magic Defense G] [Transcendence I] [Elementalist] [Spatial I]

"As luxurious as ever, Riveria, your stats have reached a bottleneck, so it's time for you to seek a feat to level up," Kaylon subtly caressed Riveria's back.

Riveria, feeling it, said nothing and let him caress her. "I see, Kami-sama, I'll think of a way to level up."

"Umu, alright, let's go, Riveria, I'm hungry, it's time to eat."

"You're always hungry."

"These muscles don't maintain themselves."

End flashback.

...

"Hehe, just wait until we get to Danmachi, I can already imagine the envy on those gods' faces," Kaylon smiled with anticipation.

After descending several kilometers, a campfire could be seen in the distance, and voices could be heard.

"Do you think I have enough to level up to level 5?" Elinalise's voice sounded somewhat anxious.

"If this were my world, we could have leveled up twice in 4 years, but here it's harder to increase stats in the falna," Riveria's dissatisfaction was clear in her voice.

"Really!? I thought it was always this slow," Talhand and Elinalise were surprised.

"No, in my world, normal people would take about 3 years, and talented ones about 2 years, to level up," Riveria clarified.

Kaylon, who overheard the conversation, nodded sympathetically. There are disadvantages to the falna in this world, as there's no world will to boost it. Progress is slower, for example, Elinalise and Talhand, who should have leveled up in just 2 years, have been at it for 4 years and haven't updated yet. (This is a small nerf, so they don't reach Danmachi with a very high level, otherwise the plot of the dark faction wouldn't make sense.)

Kaylon could use his divinity to give them a boost and level up faster, but he believes it's unnecessary; no one is desperate for strength anyway.

"Oh, Kami-sama, you're here," Riveria gave him a sweet smile.

"Your smile would be very beautiful if it weren't because I was recently ruthlessly abandoned," Kaylon said with a dangerous smile.

"Kami-Sama, we only escaped because we trust in your greatness, and we know that a few little lizards won't be enough against you," Elinalise quickly started praising her God.

"Exactly, Kami-sama, your strength assures us that you'll be fine in any situation. By the way, Kami-sama, I hope you've collected the sinful bodies of those dragons so they can spy on their sins turning them into materials," Talhand praised, but he didn't forget to ask about materials.

Riveria remained silent; clearly, she lacks talent for flattering people.

Kaylon looked at the three with a dark face, then a wicked smile formed on his face.

"Before I update you, you'll go to the dungeon to stay for about 3 days to maximize your stats as much as possible," Kaylon smiled "kindly."

"Uhhh, Kami-Sama, please no, not that gloomy place!" Elinalise quickly used her tactic of looking pitiful and at the same time winked at Riveria to follow her lead.

Riveria, seeing Elinalise's signal, shook her head; she still has something called dignity.

"Perfect, it'll be 10 damn days, I hope my body can handle it," Talhand shook his head, pitying his future.

After complaining for a while, and seeing that their God's heart wasn't softening, everyone could only accept their fate.

Then comfortably, they sat down to eat delicious dragon meat.

"Kami-Sama, you're lost in your thoughts again, is it like last time? Will there be someone to recruit?" Riveria got excited with the idea.

"Hehe, Riveria, you know me like an open book, that's right. Soon Ghislaine and Eris will start traveling; they seem to be heading to the land of swords. I was thinking of crossing their path, inviting Ghislaine, and teaching Eris swordsmanship," Kaylon shared his plans about Ghislaine and Eris.

"Ghislaine!? I knew Kami-sama must have ideas about her. After all, in our group, she was the most talented," Elinalise nodded as if she had been expecting it all along.

"Also the dumbest of our team," added Talhand.

"Kami-Sama, do you know about swords?" Riveria asked, confused; she had never seen her God with a sword.

"Eh? No... My swordsmanship is mediocre among the Gods. A long time ago in Tenkai, a Sword God taught me, but I never showed interest in the sword. The God also said it wasn't my destined weapon, but still, my swordsmanship is divine level, much higher than the 'Sword God' Gal Farion," his swordsmanship is mediocre, but still superior to most mortals.

"I see, you told me that Eris was desperately seeking to improve her sword, right?" Riveria asked.

"Yes, she had a fateful encounter where she realized her weakness. Now she craves strength more than anything. I plan to invite Ghislaine and, in the process, train Eris. That way, it'll be easier to invite her in the future."

"Is the girl Eris pleasant, Kami-sama? And she must have great talent, right?" Elinalise asked curiously.

"She's a strong woman... Currently, she's like a rabid dog, but her will is undoubtedly the strongest steel. As for her talent, she's above Ghislaine's," Kaylon said sincerely. Eris's current attitude isn't very good, but it can be forged, and as for her talent, she reached the king rank of swordsmanship in less than 5 years.

"I see, then we must prepare to extend the invitation," Riveria, who was very tired, suddenly became energetic. For her, new members are always wonderful.

"Umu, after the 10 days in the dungeon, I'll update your falnas, and then we'll go recruiting," Kaylon smiled, not forgetting the punishment for his members.

"You're very resentful, aren't you, Kami-sama?" Elinalise was speechless.

"Hehe, Gods are resentful, Elinalise," Gods can hold grudges for millions of years.

"Alright, let's go!"

"Yes, Kami-sama" x3

----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, here's today's chapter. I couldn't upload yesterday due to some issues, so as compensation, I'll upload 2 chapters today, one in the morning and another at night.

By the way, if you're wondering why the rating went from 4.4 to 4.6, well, it's because I deleted two reviews. The reason? Well, the first was a negative comment that said "racism." The person who posted it used their two multi-accounts to post the same criticism. At the beginning of the story, I made a slightly offensive black joke, and after knowing it was annoying, I modified it. However, I'll still leave one of their two "racism" comments because I deserve it.

The second one, well, this one bothers me a bit. The funny person left a one-star review, and the only thing they wrote was "nothing to say hahaha"...

As a writer, I'm completely open to receiving bad reviews, but if you're going to leave a bad review, I'd at least like to know the reason why you don't like my work...

Well, putting that aside, as always, thanks for the SUPPORT!!
