10 To the magical University of Ranoa!

Family Kaylon House.

In the dining room, at this moment two big men were drinking a large bottle of liquor.

"So your son wants a job?" Kaylon, holding a glass of whisky, with a flushed face asked Paul.

"Yeah... C-c-can you believe it? He's only 8, I mean when I was that age I was still playing with mud and hitting people with swords, never once thought about a job," Paul, completely drunk, said as he made a bitter face.

"I understand, your son is a very mature boy, I suppose you must be proud but also bitter."

Kaylon understands Paul's feeling, having a son like Rudeus who is actually even older than his father, has its ups and downs.

On one hand, it's reassuring to have such an excellent son, but on the other hand, it takes away the role of being a father.

"Yeah! Everyone just thinks, oh, it must be great to have such a good son, you must be very proud, blah, blah, blah. But where does that leave me as a father? I can never play the role I should, it's even Rudeus who gives me advice and helps me out many times, what a shameful feeling," Paul slumped onto the table defeated.

"And what do you plan to do then?" Kaylon, who saw the scene, kept silent, took another sip of whisky, and then asked.

Paul, lying on the table, kept silent for a while and then said.

"Well, I'll look for a job for the boy... you know, I don't know much about being a father, my father was a typical noble, only cared about power, didn't care about anything else, so I never received attention from him, so I became a little shit, did everything I shouldn't have done, I guess I wanted to get his attention even in the worst way."

Paul raised his head from the table to look out the window, his eyes gradually became deep, then a smile formed on his face.

"I was a little shit for a long time, until I found what I wanted to do, an adventurer, for nobles a profession for wild people, but for me... I loved it! Hahaha, you should have seen my father's face when I told him I would be an adventurer, after that, one night without hearing anyone's voices, I left home and went to be an adventurer, hehe," Paul laughed, remembering his father's face when he told him he would be an adventurer.

Kaylon also smiled, imagining the scene.

"And if there's one thing I've learned from all my experiences in my life, it's that a person should follow their dreams and goals, Rudeus now has a goal, and as a father, I'll do everything I can to help him achieve it." Paul got up from the table, with a renewed energy, fully understanding what he had to do.

"Haha, congratulations on finding your answers, now how about we celebrate your clarity, let's go for another bottle," Kaylon pulled out another bottle of whisky and opened it.

"Hahahaha, that's it my good friend, let's celebrate!"

(I wanted to write this, so you can see a bit of what kind of person Paul is, I know many hate him, and they have their reasons, but I feel like Paul is a character with a lot of potential, remember he was the captain of the Black Wolf Fangs)

...

Pov Riveria

"Then see you, Sylphie, tomorrow morning I'll come back and we'll work on math and language again, remember a true wizard not only has to pursue magic, but also must have great wisdom," Riveria lectured the little Sylphie.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you for today's teaching *yawn*," Sylphie, with disheveled hair and dark circles under her eyes, bid farewell to Riveria with the little energy she had left.

"Riveria-sama, thank you very much for teaching Sylphie, please be careful on the way," Lars, Sylphie's father, held his daughter who was about to fall asleep on the floor, and thanked Riveria.

"No problem, Lars, Sylphie is my future disciple, it's natural that I give her all my knowledge, good night Lars, Kaylon must be waiting for me for a while now," Riveria said goodbye to Lars and walked towards her house.

"Goodnight, Riveria-sama, also goodnight to your husband, Kaylon-Sama!" Lars shouted from his house.

Riveria, walking, upon hearing Lars' shout, almost fell to the ground in surprise.

"This Kaylon is not my..." Riveria, planning to clear up the misunderstanding, realized that Lars had already closed the door.

She thought about going to clarify the misunderstanding, but then abandoned the idea, she didn't want to bother anymore.

"Wife...?" Riveria blushed mainly because the idea of being called Kaylon's wife sounded very good to her.

"Forget it, let's go home." Riveria shook her head from side to side to dispel impure thoughts.

After walking a few minutes, she managed to see her house from afar.

Speeding up her pace, she quickly reached her door, took one of the keys given to her by her Kami-sama, and opened it.

The first thing she felt upon opening the door was a strong smell of alcohol.

"What's this?" Riveria frowned, she had seen her God drink alcohol before, there were even occasions when she shared a good wine with her God, but this is the first time she smelled such a strong alcohol odor.

Thinking this, Riveria headed to the living room where the smell was coming from the most.

"Kami-Sama..." When Riveria saw the scene in the living room, her expression darkened.

On top of the table was her God, using the table as a bed, around him was Paul on the floor, and several bottles on the floor.

Riveria's eyelids trembled at the scene, due to the number of bottles in the place, she doubted they would get

"Sighh... Really, since we arrived in the village, you've gone downhill a lot, we need to hurry to Ranoa University and get you a job," Riveria had noticed that since they arrived here, her God had become a total fish out of water.

Putting that aside, Riveria approached her God's side, using some touki she had just learned at an intermediate level, she carefully lifted her God, holding him in a princess carry.

"Let's go, I'll take you to your bed," Riveria looked at her God's sleeping face with affection and a bit of helplessness.

Riveria headed to her God's room.

About Paul, hmph she considered herself kind for not kicking him out onto the street, although she wasn't clear why her God got drunk, it surely had something to do with Paul, so she wouldn't show any mercy.

Setting him down in her God's room, Riveria gently laid him on the bed.

"Uhh, it must be uncomfortable to sleep in that coat, right?" Riveria blushed; she didn't want her God to be uncomfortable.

'It's just so my God can sleep well, not because I want to see his body or anything,' Riveria convinced herself that she did it out of necessity, not personal desire.

Carefully, she removed her God's coat, taking it off his arms without hurting him, and after a while, she managed to remove his coat.

"Uhh" Riveria, seeing her God's body, which could easily be defined as the perfect physique, a very well-defined six-pack, well-proportioned pectorals, couldn't help but feel a bit weak in the knees.

'Concentrate, Riveria!' Riveria regained her stability, took a deep breath, and calmed herself; for her, a virgin elf, seeing a man's body was definitely very difficult, especially because it was the man she loved.

Riveria went to the closet and took out a pajama shirt for her God, carefully putting it on him.

"Alright, now the boots and pants," Riveria took a deep breath.

'Come on, Riveria, you can do it!' Encouraging herself, she walked to her God and removed his boots; even as a God, with a large part of his divinity sealed, his divine body always remained clean, so there would never be any dirt or bad smells. (Why do you think Hestia walks around barefoot without any problems?)

After taking off the boots, she took his pants, removed the belt, unbuttoned it, and then, while closing her eyes, she lowered his pants.

"Wow!" The first thing Riveria encountered when seeing her God without pants was his large package, which even with underwear on, still seemed to stick out.

Riveria, seeing it in front of her, blushed deeply, and her face practically started emitting steam.

"Why does the bulge have to be so big?" Riveria couldn't help but wonder; in the biology books she read, when the male member is not erect, it usually looks small.

'If that's when it's small, then what will it be like fully awake!?' Riveria couldn't help but shudder at the thought that maybe in the future she would have to deal with that, it made her shiver.

'Calm down, Riveria, future problems for the future, now visit our God.' Riveria discarded those thoughts, taking the pajama pants previously taken, she carefully put them on him, avoiding the area of the bulge.

"Uhh, done," Riveria sighed in relief and wiped the sweat from her forehead; undoubtedly, the previous experience was difficult for her poor elf.

Seeing her God sleeping comfortably, Riveria smiled affectionately; suddenly an idea came to her mind, which made her blush deeply. After thinking for a while, gathering courage, she walked towards her God.

*Chu*

Putting her lips on her God's cheeks, she gave him a tender kiss on the cheeks.

After doing that, falling into embarrassment at what she had just done, she turned around and quickly ran to her room.

'Waaaa, what did I do!??'

End pov Riveria

...

"So, the person who will take your son away will arrive soon?"

You could see Kaylon and Paul squatting with a cigarette each, by the side of the road, if Rudeus were to come and see them, he would say they looked like a couple of gangsters.

"Yes, this afternoon she'll arrive, her name is Ghislaine, a former companion who was in my previous adventurer group, she now works with some nobles in the city of Roa, they offered Rudeus a job as a magic tutor," Paul spoke with pride on his face.

"Hey, that sounds great," Kaylon praised.

It's been a week since the drunkenness at his house.

After getting up the next day and being fiercely scolded by Riveria, and after being banned from drinking for half a year.

Everything went back to normal.

Today in the morning, Paul came to visit him, to accompany him to meet an old companion who would come to take his son to his future job.

Knowing that it would be Ghislaine who would come, one of the people Kaylon most wants to bring into his family, naturally he couldn't miss it.

"By the way, I didn't tell you, Ghislaine is a swordsman of the Sword God Style, King rank, what do you think, are you surprised?" Paul looked closely at Kaylon's face, looking for any surprise.

Since Paul has known Kaylon, the times he has seen him with a surprised face can be counted on one hand, usually he always has a flat face, so Paul whenever he can tries to scare Kaylon to see the expression of fear or amazement on Kaylon's face.

And to his disappointment, today was the same, Kaylon's face didn't change in the slightest.

"It's incredible," Kaylon said, without any emotion in his voice.

"You know, if you say 'incredible' with a flat voice and a flat face, you really make people question if you're actually impressed," Paul was left speechless.

"I see," Kaylon responded disinterestedly.

"Never mind, I won't waste any more time with you," Paul surrendered outright.

After waiting another hour and a half, finally, a carriage was spotted approaching.

"Hey, I think they're coming!" Paul stood up from the ground and looked at the nearby carriage.

"It's about time, my backside is numb," Kaylon also got up.

After a few minutes, the carriage finally arrived in the village, after stopping, a woman descended from the carriage the next moment.

The woman was a half-human, evident from her ears on her head; she had tanned skin, wearing gray pants with sandals, and then she wore a small top that covered her voluptuous breasts.

"And here is the great Ghislaine, hey? Why is she staying still and looking at us?" Paul was confused when he saw that Ghislaine, instead of moving towards them, stayed still and looked towards them, or more specifically at Kaylon.

...

POV Ghislaine

(I'll try my best, but it's a bit difficult; even in the original novel, Ghislaine hardly had any point of view, so it's hard to describe.)

Strong.

Immensely strong.

That was the first thought Ghislaine had when she got off the carriage and looked towards the man with golden hair and golden eyes.

Every ounce of his body screamed danger, to the point where her body simply froze.

She's met strong people, sword emperors, king-ranked mages, demons; she even met the Sword God himself, who happens to be her master.

However, no one ever before, not even her master, gave her this kind of pressure.

This meant that the person standing next to Paul could be stronger than her master, the Sword God himself.

So, the person in front of her is a power at the God level.

Knowing this, Ghislaine couldn't help but swallow nervously.

But why would a power at the God level be in a small village like this?

"Hey Ghislaine, why are you standing there? Look, let me introduce you; this is Kaylon Rozzo, my neighbor," Paul, who had already approached Ghislaine, introduced Kaylon.

'Neighbor? So the God-level power lives here?' Ghislaine couldn't understand why a person of that power would live in this small village.

Seeing that she couldn't come to any conclusion, she stopped thinking; after all, that had never been her strong suit, so she didn't bother to overthink it.

"Hello, nice to meet you; my name is Kaylon Rozzo, you can call me Kaylon," the God named Kaylon introduced himself.

Ghislaine was confused about how to respond; should she bow as she does with her master, or should she kneel, or maybe make an offering?

Ghislaine's small brain started running at 100, thinking about the right way to greet.

"Haha, how about a handshake," the God named Kaylon seemed to notice her discomfort and extended his hand.

'A handshake, just that?' Ghislaine was surprised, then she also shook hands with Kaylon.

"Hey Ghislaine, how do you find my strong and handsome friend? It's a pity you don't stand a chance; Kaylon is already pursuing a beautiful elf," Paul shook his head sorrowfully, as if he pitied Ghislaine.

"Oh, I see," Ghislaine said in a flat tone; she is a woman who has dedicated her life to the sword, apart from the first time she wanted to experiment with Paul, she has no interest in the opposite sex.

However, from Paul's words, she managed to understand something; Paul probably doesn't know how strong Kaylon is, after all, a simple 'strong' is not a way to define a God-level power.

Seeing this, Ghislaine gave up on telling Paul about Kaylon's strength; after all, if she learned anything in her life, it's that sometimes speaking less can save your life.

As for worrying about Paul, she doesn't believe that a power of that level would have ideas to harm Paul or his family; after all, although he is undoubtedly talented, his combat effectiveness barely reaches the saint rank.

"Where is the child, who will be the lady's tutor," having understood the circumstances, Ghislaine got straight to the point of why she came here.

End of Ghislaine's POV

...

The outskirts of Rudeus's house.

At this moment, four people could be seen.

The first was Paul, who had some bruises and was quite dirty.

In Paul's arms, a small boy of about 8 years old, unconscious, hung from his father's arms.

To his right was Ghislaine, and to his left was Kaylon.

"Paul, you seem to have experience knocking out kids; were you a kidnapper in the past?" Kaylon remarked while looking at the unconscious Rudeus.

"Paul, were you a kidnapper?" Ghislaine, who heard Kaylon's words, looked at Paul with a surprised expression.

Paul's bruised face darkened. "Of course not, Ghislaine. Kaylon is just messing with me."

"Oh, by the way, I didn't expect you to almost lose to an eight-year-old; have you become weaker, Paul?" Ghislaine, an expert in delivering the sharpest words with the most expressionless face, spoke.

"Yes, Paul, if it weren't for Rudeus lacking the experience you have, you would have lost pathetically," Kaylon finished off what little dignity Paul had.

"Shut up, you bastards! You saw the fight; you know how strong and smart Rudeus is. It's not my fault that my son isn't normal," Paul spoke aggrievedly. After all, there's not much that can be done; that kid is still a Holy Mage with a huge amount of mana.

Paul clenched his fists, promising to train to wash away this humiliation in the future.

"Ummm, what you say is true; that kid is indeed strong," Ghislaine nodded, Rudeus's strength was approved by her, a Sword Queen.

"Indeed, it's a pity he has your personality, and he'll probably stop getting stronger to chase after skirts," Kaylon gave a little spoiler about the future.

Ghislaine nodded; even in the dangerous situation before, the boy didn't miss the chance to look at her breasts.

Paul remained silent; on this point, he doesn't dare to say anything. After all, a tree knows its roots.

"All right then, I'll take him," Ghislaine took Rudeus from Paul's arms and climbed into the waiting carriage with him.

"Take care of him, Ghislaine; he's my only boy," Paul said seriously to Ghislaine.

"Of course," she nodded.

"See you later, Miss Ghislaine; I hope to meet again in the future," Kaylon bid farewell to Ghislaine, uttering somewhat meaningful words.

"I hope the same, Mr. Kaylon-Sama," Ghislaine gave him a meaningful look and then nodded.

After the farewells, the carriage began to move towards its destination.

"If you're going to cry, do it; stop making that pathetic face where I can't tell if you're laughing or crying," Kaylon looked disapprovingly at Paul.

"Hey, shut up. You've never had kids; you don't know what it's like to watch them grow up," Paul said through sobs, but he refused to shed a tear.

"Whatever. By the way, I'll be leaving the day after tomorrow," Kaylon informed Paul.

"Why so soon?" Paul was surprised by the news.

"Well, I told you from the beginning; we came here to rest for a while, then continue our journey. Riveria is already eager to leave, so we'll prepare everything tomorrow and leave the day after," Riveria has mastered all the magic she can at the advanced level, and she can't progress any further. So, she's eager to go to Ranoa.

"Hey, friend, that's sad. Surely Zenith and Lilia will be sad; they had become good friends with Riveria. Besides, if you leave, who will give me cigarettes and liquor?" Paul was disappointed mainly because he wouldn't have any more cigarettes.

"As I knew from the beginning, only a white-eyed wolf," Kaylon nodded as if he had known from the start.

"Hey, that's hurtful."

"I'm going home; I'm tired."

"Hey, wait; you haven't even let me get more emotional."

"Get lost."

Two shadows walk one behind the other in the darkness of the village.

...

Two days later, since Rudeus left the village.

Outside Kaylon and Riveria's house, a large carriage filled with things could be seen.

Around the house, there were also several people.

Like the Grayrat family, Sylphie's family, and a few more nearby neighbors.

"Are you really leaving, Riveria? Can't you stay a little longer? It would be great if you could meet my unborn child," Zenith, who looked a bit fuller than usual, clearly pregnant, complained to Riveria.

"That's right, Riveria-sama; it would be very nice to have you for the birth of Mrs. Zenith's and my child," Lilia, who also looked fuller than usual, clearly pregnant, spoke.

"I'm sorry, Zenith, Lilia, but we've completed our rest, and it's time to move on to our next destination. I can't stay here any longer," Riveria apologized to Zenith and Lilia. No matter if the sky falls, she has to reach the magical university of Ranoa.

"Teacher, will you come back?" Little Sylphie, with tears rolling down her face, said tearfully as she held onto Riveria's gown.

"But of course, Sylphie, how could I forget my disciple? If you weren't so young, I would love to take you on a trip, but it's not time yet. However, don't worry; I'll surely come back soon to take you with me."

"After several months, Riveria finally accepted the master-disciple relationship with Sylphie. If it weren't for Kaylon telling her about the future disaster, she'd take Sylphie with her. (I feel that meeting Ariel is important for Sylphie, so I'll let her go through the same thing until she reaches the magical university.)"

"Ummm, do you promise, Teacher?" Sylphie looked at Riveria pitifully.

Resisting the urge to put her in the carriage, Riveria said, "Yes, I promise, Sylphie."

"Well, good luck on your journey, Teacher," Sylphie smiled at Riveria.

"Good luck on your journey, Riveria-sama; may Milis-sama accompany you," Lars and his wife wished her a safe journey, entrusting her to their Goddess.

"Thank you," Riveria smiled; of course, she is not a believer in the religion of Milis; after all, she has her own God.

Then Riveria turned around and saw a man who never pleased her and still doesn't, Paul Grayrat. She approached him and said,

"You betrayed your wife, and even if she forgave you, to be such a bad man, you're very lucky. All I hope from you is that you man up and take care of the family you have. Don't disappoint me anymore, Paul Grayrat," Rivera said to Paul in a cold tone.

The next time she sees him, if Paul hasn't changed, she will reject him for her future family.

Paul hung his head upon hearing the elf's words; he had nothing to refute, as everything she said was true.

After bidding farewell to everyone, Riveria mounted the carriage next to her God. Unlike before, there were two horses pulling the carriage; where her God got them from, she has no idea.

Kaylon, on the other hand, quickly bid farewell to everyone. Unlike Riveria, except for Paul, Kaylon didn't form a strong relationship with anyone else; the only exception would be Sylphie, who calls him uncle.

After organizing the farewells and amidst the shouts of the townsfolk, Riveria and Kaylon left the village, to return at another future time.

...

"How was your study here, Riveria?" Kaylon asked while lying in the carriage.

About who is driving the carriage and where the horses are, well, the horses were just an illusion, and the carriage moves by itself as when they arrived.

"I learned a lot; I also gained my first disciple and, if all goes well, some good friends in the future," Riveria said, quite satisfied with her study here.

"Hehe, it's good that you liked it. But anyway, now we're going to a place made for you; I'm sure you'll fit right in," Kaylon smiled, thinking that Riveria would be like a fish in water in Ranoa.

"I'm looking forward to it," Riveria's eyes sparkled with anticipation.

"Alright, then off to the magical university of Ranoa!"

---------------------------------------------------------------

Well, here's this chapter that was planned for tomorrow, but celebrating breaking 100k views, I decided to upload it today.

In the next chapter, the magical university of Ranoa will officially begin, and the story will start to move a bit faster to not take too long to return to Danmachi.

Thank you for all the support you've given me; I'm striving to make this my first novel a good experience, both for you and for me.

By the way, I modified the first chapter because I realized my joke was a bit heavy, so to avoid offending anyone, I modified it.
