12 Elinalise Dragonroad

The magical university library, a place where many wizards would kill to be.

Now, at one of the many tables, you can see an elf and a God, the elf was focused on a book as big as her head.

While the God was staring into space, apparently lost in his thoughts.

Riveria, noticing her God's state, asked curiously, "Kami-sama, what are you thinking about?"

"Eh! Oh Riveria, I was thinking about which way is better to recruit our new member, I have some ideas, like the foolproof method of a hero saving the beauty, making her fall into despair and then saving her, or making a grand display of my divinity and having her become my follower," Kaylon explained to Riveria, still unsure how to approach Elinalise.

"Wait! New Members!? Why didn't I know you were already preparing to recruit someone??" Riveria looked at him with a furrowed brow, as the captain of the Family, she didn't know there would soon be a new Member.

Kaylon, hearing Riveria's words and seeing her face, which seemed anything but friendly, shivered, but then smiled.

' However, Riveria is quite cute when she's angry, hehehe,' Kaylon put on a wry smile.

"Kami-Sama!" Riveria saw that instead of explaining, her God just stared at her with a strange smile.

"Oh yes! Sorry, Riveria, I forgot to tell you," Kaylon put on a nervous smile.

After seeing Riveria's face darken even more, he quickly explained, "you see, I recently thought that we could start with two of the recruitments, so I was thinking about how to extend the invitation."

"I see, and who are they? What do they do? What are their personalities like?" Riveria nodded and then bombarded Kaylon with questions.

"Hehe, Riveria, the first one, you'll love her. She has some problems that arose from a curse, but still, you two share many similarities. First, both of you are elves, second, both she and you are adventure lovers, to the point that she has been traveling around the world for a very long time. She's also an adventurer with a lot of experience. I would say that among all the future Members, she could become the most experienced person in the family, a woman who loves freedom, she's a good person, I wouldn't say the most just, but she still has a good moral character. Her name is Elinalise Dragonroad," Kaylon gave Riveria a summary of the future Member.

"Really!?" Riveria said excitedly. If she's as Kaylon described her, then they really have a lot in common. Thinking about it made her eager to meet her.

"Wait, you said she had a problem with a curse, what is it?" Riveria has studied some about curses, and she knows that some can be very serious.

"Well, about this, it's something very unfortunate, you see..." Kaylon told her about the effects of the curse and how Elinalise has dealt with it.

After hearing her God's description, there was no sign of displeasure in Riveria, but rather genuine pity.

"It must have been hard, living with that, especially for elves, who are naturally clean people," Riveria sighed sadly.

"Yes, it was difficult for her to live with it at first, but she overcame it. Instead of falling into depression, or worse, ending her own life, she learned to focus on the positive things and lived with it."

It must be said, in her past life when she read the novel of Mushoku Tensei, she sincerely admired Elinalise. She suffered from such a curse that would make any woman despair, and instead of falling into the abyss, she continued her life and even managed to accept her curse and live with it. (Author's comment: I really admire the character a lot. In the anime, they portray her as a sex addict, but with her curse, what else could she do? In my opinion, just the fact that she can still maintain a smile is truly admirable. Oh, and if you're the type of person who judges a woman by the number of men she's been with, then I won't accept your opinion.)

"Seriously, she's truly an amazing person. I really want to meet her!! By the way, Kami-sama, will you lift her curse?" Riveria put on a bright smile. Now she truly admired Elinalise. If she were her, she doubts she could continue living in that way.

"Of course, when it comes to my family, I'll always do everything I can to make sure they're okay, especially because I hope she becomes your right hand in the future."

"My right hand?" Riveria asked.

"Yes, you see, Riveria, as the captain of the family, you won't be able to do everything alone. Sometimes you'll need help, and in my opinion, Elinalise has all the qualifications. She's strong, has a lot of experience, intelligent, a veteran adventurer, a person with experience dealing with all kinds of people. You see, Riveria, even though you're amazing as captain, you still lack experience. That's why I think Elinalise is perfect to help you in everything. I also know that you two will get along very well."

Riveria lacks experience. Although she has traveled with Kaylon for a long time, for much of the journey she was under his care. If Riveria hadn't had him, she probably would have been deceived hundreds of times, after all, although Riveria is intelligent, she has no experience with the world. Keep in mind that she only left the Alf forest, where she lived in isolation, about 7 years ago.

So, an assistant like Elinalise who has traveled her whole life and has vast experience, is perfect to be her assistant.

"Alright, I'm listening to you, Kami-sama," Riveria nodded obediently. She didn't scold her God all the time, but when he spoke seriously, she always listened, and as long as it wasn't something outrageous, she would always follow his words.

"As for when to go for her, she's currently inside a dungeon, so it's not advisable to find her. I was planning on going to meet her as soon as she exits," Kaylon had been keeping an eye on Elinalise's whereabouts, waiting for the perfect moment to invite her.

"By the way, Kami-sama, I think the best approach is to be sincere. If Elinalise is truly as you described, then I believe that once she hears about the opportunity, she'll accept it immediately. An adventurous person like her won't miss out on such a chance," Riveria believed that an adventurous person would never miss an opportunity like this.

"That's right... well then, let's wait. Once she exits the dungeons, we'll go to meet her immediately," Kaylon thought Riveria's words were reasonable.

"Understood, Kami-sama!" Riveria said with excitement. In no time, she could meet her potential future right hand.

...

Seven days later, in a small town somewhere near the dungeon of the Begaritto continent.

"Is this the place, Kami-sama?" Riveria, wearing a large cloth covering her head with only an opening for her eyes, asked.

"Yes, this city is where she resides. She exited the dungeon about an hour ago," Kaylon, dressed like an Arabian sheikh, responded.

"Why are you speaking with that strange accent?" Since they arrived on the Begaritto continent, her God had been speaking with a peculiar accent.

"I'm already dressed as one, so I thought I'd speak like one. From now on, call me Abdul. I have 100 camels and 7 wives, in case anyone asks," Kaylon replied while adorning himself with many precious jewels.

"7 wives? Do you wish to have more than one wife?" Riveria asked, staring intensely at her God, her eyes becoming extremely dangerous.

Kaylon realized he had messed up unintentionally, seeing Riveria's eyes, and immediately knew that dark times lay ahead.

"Riveria, it's just a funny joke! You don't have to take it seriously—" Kaylon hurried to try to save his skin.

"We'll talk about this at home!" Before Kaylon could further defend his innocence, Riveria interrupted in a cold tone.

Kaylon knew he was in trouble and, thinking about the many explanations he would have to give, fell silent.

The gems adorning his body seemed to sense his mood and slowly evaporated.

After walking for another 10 minutes, they finally entered the city.

Upon entering the city, many eyes immediately fell on them—some curious, some greedy, some downright malicious.

Realizing this, Kaylon released some of his pressure, causing the earth to tremble slightly.

After feeling the immense pressure, the gazes changed to fear, amazement, and respect. (And thus, an unnecessary scene of pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger easily is avoided.)

Walking through several streets, they arrived at a quaint inn, at least compared to the rest.

"Here she is, Riveria. Let's ask which room she's in," Kaylon told Riveria as he walked towards the reception.

"Hmph," Riveria merely followed, not responding, clearly still upset about the earlier incident. (Remember, my MC only uses his omnipotence when necessary.)

Kaylon could only shake his head in frustration. He would never pretend to be an Arabian sheikh again.

"Hello, old man. I'm looking for an elf with blonde hair named Elinalise. Do you know which room she's staying in?" Kaylon, still mostly covered, leaving only his eyes visible, asked the elderly man at the reception.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. I've never seen any elf —... Actually, now that I think about it, I remember an elf. She's in room 24," the old man, initially about to refuse, quickly changed his tune upon seeing a shiny gold coin land on his table.

"By the way, the elf went up with three men, so I suggest you wait. Where did you go?" After admiring the coin for a moment, the old man was about to warn Kaylon, but when he looked up, he saw no one.

Kaylon and Riveria, ascending the stairs, reached the second floor and soon found room number 24.

Approaching the door about to knock, they began to hear some strange noises.

"Oh yes, harder, yes, there, oh, you're so strong!"

"Oh, you're so good, you move so well, oh, amazing!"

Kaylon, hearing the noises, was dumbfounded.

' Shit, I should have thought that this might happen. Well, it's kind of awkward. Better leave. '

"Uh, Kami-sama, what are those screams? Could it be a fight!? Is Elinalise in danger!?" Riveria, hearing the screams, asked her God with concern.

Kaylon turned to look at his elf, shocked. ' Oh my, what a pure and lovely elf.' Kaylon really wanted to burst out laughing.

"No, Riveria, she's not fighting. Come on, let's go downstairs. I think they'll be coming down soon," resisting the urge to laugh, he took Riveria and dragged her downstairs.

"But Kami-sama, she's screaming so loudly, isn't she suffering!?" Riveria asked, confused.

"No, no, believe me, she's having a blast," Kaylon reassured the confused Riveria as he led her down the stairs.

...

Down in the dining hall, after convincing Riveria a dozen times that Elinalise was not in danger, Riveria and Kaylon sat at the first-floor tavern and ordered some food while they waited.

"Old man, your food tastes like shit," Kaylon, taking his first bite of his meal, immediately spat it out on the floor.

"It's the traditional flavor of this land; everything here tastes like shit," the elderly receptionist from before responded casually, not feeling offended in the slightest.

Begaritto has little food to offer, and what little there is doesn't taste good. The people here have grown accustomed to it long ago.

Riveria, seeing her God's predicament, immediately set down the spoon she was about to bring to her mouth.

"I pity you and the people of this continent," Kaylon said sincerely.

"Hmph, after all, we're just a continent, forgotten by God," the old man replied resignedly.

Kaylon said nothing; he didn't feel like engaging in a philosophical conversation with the old man.

Riveria kept her head down, still worried about Elinalise. (And you're still at it)

Kaylon, seeing this, shook his head wordlessly. He wasn't willing to tell her the truth of what happened upstairs; he'll leave that job to Elinalise.

"Although I also have to make sure she doesn't corrupt her too much, the tender and pure Riveria is very lovely to lose her."

After waiting in the dining hall for about 30 minutes, a noise was heard from the stairs, and then 3 men exited the hotel with satisfied faces.

After a while, a beautiful elf with long curly golden hair, blonde with ruby eyes, and a devilish figure descended the stairs, still somewhat red from the previous session.

...

Pov Elinalise

After finishing her "rejuvenation session," as she calls it, she headed to the reception to pay for the room.

Taking out her coins to pay, she placed them on the table.

"There are two people looking for you in the tavern, miss," the old man said.

"Two people? Who are they, old man? Do they look dangerous?" Elinalise asked coquettishly, but with a cautious glance.

They're looking for me; did I offend someone, some woman of some man I slept with? Elinalise thought of possible reasons someone would be looking for her; they were far from home, so she didn't think of anyone she knew.

"A tall man with golden eyes, and he's followed by a woman with green eyes," the old man replied.

"Thank you for the information, old man. I'll rent the room for another night. Here you go," Elinalise paid and then walked towards the tavern.

' A tall man with golden eyes and a woman with green eyes. I don't remember offending someone like that, but just in case,' Elinalise adjusted her weapons to draw quickly and also prepared some tricks to help her escape.

Her life as an adventurer has taught her to be cautious with everything and everyone.

After entering, she first located the possible exits, possible places to use as protection, and then, after completing the check, finally glanced at the only two people in the tavern.

A tall man, dressed strangely, whom she had never seen before, and a woman with emerald green eyes wearing a mage's robe, both with their faces covered.

'Nobles?' that was the first feeling both gave Elinalise, although they didn't wear anything that screamed luxury, that aura of majesty and luxury couldn't be hidden.

As for having their faces covered, she felt nothing; in Begaritto, due to the amount of desert sand, most people wear headscarves.

After observing them for a moment, the man realized her presence and turned his gaze towards her; their eyes met, and the first thing she thought was.

' What beautiful eyes,' the man's bright golden eyes seemed to radiate light on their own. Elinalise licked her lips and gave him a flirtatious smile, 'Maybe I'll have dinner à la carte tonight.'

She then directed her gaze to the woman with emerald green eyes, her beautiful eyes also captivated her for a moment. They weren't as beautiful as the man's, but still very striking.

' Curiosity, anticipation? And some longing.' Elinalise read some emotions in the woman's eyes, which made her more curious about what they wanted from her, and her guard decreased a bit as she didn't feel any hostility.

After a while of silence, the man broke the silence, removing the headscarf he said, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Elinalise. My name is Kaylon Rozzo, lord of the Rozzo family."

The woman who came with the man named Kaylon also removed her headscarf and said, "Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Riveria LJos Alf, captain of the Rozzo family." (I decided to call the Rozzo family, the Kaylon family doesn't quite sound right to me.)

' Family? Then, they're some kind of noble house,' Elinalise tried to remember if she had heard of such a house.

"I see, I suppose you already know me, but I'd still like to introduce myself. I am Elinalise Dragonroad, an adventurer. By the way, has anyone told you that you're both very handsome?" She said it seriously; she herself is a beautiful woman and has traveled a lot and seen many beautiful people, but these two are undoubtedly Top 1 and Top 2.

"Hehe, thank you for the compliment, Miss Elinalise," the man smiled.

She was planning to flirt a bit, but seeing no lust in the man's eyes when he looked at her, and also not knowing what kind of relationship they have, she decided to go straight to business.

"Well, from your accent, I see you're not from around here. You must come from far away. I wonder what could be so important about me that you seek me out," Elinalise said with a smile, although her guard was still up.

"Well, Miss Elinalise, what if I told you that not only can I cure your curse, but I can also take you to explore a completely new world?" the man said.

"Then I'd say I'm too old to fall for children's tricks!" Elinalise said coldly, and without warning, she ran towards the exit.

End Pov Elinalise

...

Pov Kaylon

Kaylon, who had been observing Elinalise's performance from the moment she entered until she ran towards the exit, nodded in approval.

From the start, her alertness was high, the act of scanning the surroundings, looking for exits, and examining the area thoroughly.

It confirmed to him the vast experience Elinalise possesses.

If it were Riveria, she wouldn't have taken any of those actions. Kaylon hopes she'll learn them over time, but in the meantime, having Elinalise as a right hand would be immensely helpful.

Regarding her running after his proposal, Kaylon thought it was the most obvious response. After all, if someone tells you something you believe is impossible, obviously you won't believe it at all.

And running to avoid trouble is a safe move; after all, you have no idea how strong the other party is or what methods they have. Simply rushing into attack is not wise at all.

Nodding appreciatively, Kaylon set aside his thoughts and then snapped his fingers.

The place that was previously a hotel transformed into an infinite starry sky.

And Kaylon, Elinalise, and Riveria were transported to it.

After being dragged into infinite space, Riveria was surprised for a moment, but upon seeing her God, she quickly calmed down.

On her part, Elinalise stared around attentively, then discreetly pinched her hand. Seeing that it wasn't an illusion or at least that she couldn't break free with a pinch, Elinalise fixed her gaze on Kaylon.

"Miss Elinalise, I know my proposal is difficult to believe, but if you calm down and let me explain, you'll understand what I mean.

Perhaps weighing the pros and cons, Elinalise nodded her head, agreeing to hear Kaylon's words.

Kaylon nodded satisfactorily and said, "You see, Miss Elinalise, I am a God from another world. A few years ago, I came to this world, seeking talents to recruit for my family. Oh, if you're wondering what a family is, then you can understand it as a group of individuals blessed by a God; in our world, we call it Falna." Kaylon fell silent, waiting for Elinalise to digest the information.

"And you expect me to believe that? That's even crazier than the previous proposal," Elinalise looked at him sharply.

"Ummm, I think it's better to speak with actions. Receive a gift from me, Miss Elinalise. Consider it payment for the inconvenience caused." Kaylon then snapped his fingers again.

Elinalise, who had been extremely tense, after hearing the snap from the so-called "God," felt as if chains that had been binding her for a long time had broken. A feeling of liberation like she had never felt before filled her body.

"W-what did you do to me?" Elinalise, with trembling voice, asked the 'God'.

"Your curse, Miss Elinalise, I have broken it," Kaylon responded.

"I-impossible! You must be lying! If you lie!! You're lying, aren't you!?" Elinalise refused to believe that a simple snap of fingers solved the problem that had tormented her her entire life just like that.

"I believe Miss Elinalise should know better than I," Kaylon pointed out.

Elinalise fell silent; she could feel it. Although she didn't know if it was real, that feeling was unmistakable. She felt it; her curse had been lifted.

"W-why!? Why are you giving me hope, please don't do that, it's cruel, you know, don't give me something I thought I had lost a long time ago," uncontrollable tears streamed down Elinalise's face.

Kaylon remained silent and said nothing; on the other hand, Riveria seemed eager to go and console Elinalise, but with a gesture from her God, she understood it wasn't the time.

Elinalise, who had lowered her head while still crying, raised her head again and said hopefully, "Is this really real?"

"I can swear on my name, Miss Elinalise," Kaylon spoke seriously.

Elinalise lowered her head, trembling. After a while, she raised her head again. "Then are you really a god?"

Elinalise decided to accept it even if it's a small hope; she desperately wants to cling to it.

"That's right, Miss Elinalise. As I said before, I came to this world recruiting talents, which I consider the best in this world, for my family," Kaylon smiled relievedly to see Elinalise beginning to accept it.

"You said what you call a family is a group of individuals blessed by a God," Elinalise asked.

"Yes, the blessing, or as we call it, Falna, is a means by which a God breaks the limitations of the human body and integrates them into his family," Kaylon patiently replied.

"So they receive the Falna and then become something like subordinates," Elinalise countered.

"Ummm, if you want to see it that way. But from my point of view, the family is, as its name implies, a Family," Kaylon responded with a gentle smile.

"The one beside me is my first Member, Riveria, also the captain of my future family. So, Miss Elinalise, I ask you again, would you like to accompany me and Riveria on a grand adventure, as family?" Kaylon said with a bright smile.

Elinalise looked at Kaylon's bright smile and said, "Could you give me tonight to think about it, please?"

"Hahaha, of course, Miss Elinalise. Take all the time you need," Kaylon nodded.

...

Pov Elinalise

Hotel room.

After a slightly more detailed explanation of what a family is by the elf named Riveria.

The God named Kaylon returned everything to its place and let her go to her room to think about her response.

Upon reaching the room, the first thing she did was throw herself on her bed. The experience she had today could well be the most exhausting experience she had ever had in her life.

After carefully feeling her body and confirming that the feeling of freedom was still there, and also that the endless lustful desires she always had to contain had disappeared, Elinalise couldn't bear it anymore.

Tears covered her face, and loud sobs escaped from her mouth.

"Wahhh, I-I don't know if you're a G-god or not, but to me, you're definitely my God," Elinalise said amidst a flood of tears.

After hours and hours of crying, Elinalise ran out of energy and fell into a deep sleep.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Well, this is one of my favorite chapters. The words flowed like rain. As you can see from the final sentence, Elinalise will indeed join the family.

As for Talhand the dwarf, I'll summarize how he was invited in the next chapter.

Thanks for the support as always. I appreciate you hitting the collect button and leaving a review if you liked it or didn't.

I'll upload another chapter tomorrow.
