Pull Up

As we re-entered the room, Chris's shaken expression mirrored my own. The near-fatal incident on the balcony had left us both reeling. I recounted the strange call from Mrs. Deli and the hypnotic voice of the mysterious woman who snatched the phone. Chris's eyes widened in shock, his face pale.

"We need to find that woman," I said, determination etched in my voice. "She's got Mrs. Deli captive, and she tried to force me to kill you. She deserves a bullet to the head."

Chris nodded fervently, his eyes blazing with anger. "Agreed. But what about the wind that pushed me off the balcony?"

I filled him in on my suspicions about Officer Uriel's involvement. Chris's expression turned incredulous. "Why would the new Chief Officer want me dead?"

I thought for a moment before the truth hit me. "His target wasn't you, Chris. It was me. He sent you off the balcony knowing I'd save you. Then he snapped a photo when I displayed my superhuman strength."

Chris's eyes narrowed. "Uriel's building a case against you. But why?"

I shook my head, frustration mounting. "And what's with that wind? I've never seen a demon control forces of nature like that."

We decided to focus on tracking down the cell phone used by the mysterious woman. Chris used the satellite tech map app, and we quickly pinpointed the location. It seemed too easy, and we suspected a trap.

"We can't call for police backup," I said, eyeing Chris. "Officer Uriel's too shady to trust."

I called Jenkins, my butler, to prepare my vehicle and open up my weapon room. Chris's eyes widened as he took in the arsenal of custom-made weapons. I handed him a long-range sniper, and he began to protest.

"I want you far away from the fight as possible," I explained. "You're a certified sniper lord, Chris. Keep them at a distance."

Chris nodded, understanding. We were in this together, as always. It was a suicidal mission, but with Chris armed with a sniper and me armed to the teeth, we were ready to send those demons back to hell.

The weapon room was a marvel, with grenade launchers, pistols, and long-range snipers lining the walls. Chris's eyes lingered on the weapons, his expression a mix of excitement and nerves.

As we prepared to leave, I turned to Chris. "You know, we always do things together. Why not go on one last crazy team-up quest?"

Chris smiled, a hint of his usual humor returning. "You mean, like a dynamic duo of demon-slaying?"

I grinned. "Exactly. Let's go out with a bang."

With our weapons at the ready, we set off towards the unknown, our bond stronger than ever. We were in this together, and we would see it through to the end.
