15 Worthless

|Little Red|

Cleaners deserve a fucking award. First, I burnt the breakfast which made him angry that he said I was an incompetent shrew. Sure, that hurt. Then I cleaned the bathroom wrong, so he got upset again. He left in a huff, demanding I get lunch right. I failed lunch.

I forgot to take my meds and read.

Fucked up the laundry, so those clothes had to be thrown out. Thankfully I didn't wash my red coat. I fucked up dinner even more, I nearly poisoned myself by inhaling what was supposed to be noodles.

The next day, he snapped at me. The only thing I could do right was clean him. Which is not something to be proud of.

I tried to defend myself by explaining that I'd never cooked anything in my life. Let alone meat. But to be fair, I fucked lunch which was supposed to be a fruit salad. How was I supposed to know that you don't want put paprika on a fruit salad. It seemed like a good idea when I was considering it.

Which meant I wasn't allowed to sleep until 2am.

Today he left me with the list but he told me not to do anything until his guest arrived.

Which made me feel worthless. I spent the day hungry, while I waited for his guest to arrive. It's not my fault I can't do any of these things. I was stuck in a cell for years.

The sound of a fist rapping at the door pulled me out of my slump. I rushed to get it.

Pulling the door open, I came face to face with four different people. Four really beautiful people.

"Hi, you must be Adele Johansson. The king's mate?" A woman with glasses and a long lengthy black hair shot her hand forward for me to shake. Skeptical but now wanting to be rude, I closed mine over hers.

"Yes, that's me."

"Wonderful." She beamed. "My name is Koana, the king sent me here to teach you about cleaning."

This is worse than the humiliation I felt back at the dynasty prison. Nodding, I stepped out of her way so she could enter. The other three followed.

"Sorry I brought some friends. But when the king mentioned your horrible fail at cooking-" I winced, gods he told her that? "- I knew I had to bring in someone who taught me how to cook. Introduce yourselves."

The only male amongst them, dark skin, dressed in a classy all blue attire stepped closer to me. "My name is Mischa. We're all omegas."

He's bulky, not very but he reminds me of a teddy bear man. No abs, but it seemed to work well for him. And his smile was friendly, and welcoming.

I transfered my gaze to other two women. One with light blonde hair, the other will white hair and a feather stuck to the side.

"I'm lopita."

"Petal." The blonde wave shortly.

"It's nice to meet you all. Sorry, I'm sure you'd rather be doing anything other than teaching me how to do basic things."

Petal fanned the air with her right hand . "No it's fine. We're house partners too. It's not easy to give up, and submit to your alpha. The king was really displeased, we want to help."

Displeased?

At least she's polite.

Mischa brought a cook book for me. He brought four thick books. One each for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. He explained how to use each of the kitchen utensils. Even the oven, which worked without technology. It was a stone oven. Terrifying to look at.

Petal taught me how to wash the clothes, and dry them. She taught me how to fold and make the beds.

Koana helped me clean, explaining how to get to each spot whenever she noticed I was doing it wrong. The house was neater than I expected by the time they were done teaching me.

"Come, let's go collect some fruits." Lopita spoke up. She was the only one who hadn't taught me anything.

Grateful for the chance to leave the cave, I hurried to dress in something warmer. Covering the whole outfit with my coat. I feel safer in it.

My only souvenir from my past life.

"Write a note for your alpha, so that he knows where you are." Lopita pointed the dining table where a yellow note and pen laid.

My handwriting was worse than I thought but at least it was readable.

I felt embarrassed but I held my basket, and they led me out. Locking the door behind..

"Another thing you should remember is to come to the farm whenever you can. There's a patch of land that belongs to the king. You can use that to plant and grow crops. Most of the omegas won't give you anything from their plots unless you pay for it. And I don't think you have gold coins on you?" Koana raised an eyebrow and I shook my head. "Thought so. Ask the king for some."

"Okay."

Mischa, I wondered why a man of his size was good at cooking. He said he was an omega, does that mean his alpha is a woman?

He caught me staring at him and smiled, I returned it.

"If you need friends, we're always open to have a new member. We could come get you whenever we're going to the market or farm."

My heart felt like it was reborn. "yes, I'd love that." I'd love chances to leave that cave. With them, maybe I won't feel so useless. And alone. I've never had friends, this could be nice. I'm still healing anyways. My foot twinges in my boots but ignored it.

Petal made small talk with me on the way to the farm. She talked about her husband, and the joys of being a housewife. Relinquishing control to your sir or master. I'm not sure how she can sound so preppy about this, but being confined and dominated doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy.

They're all nice, but I can't help thinking….did the king send them to make me more compliant to his commands?

If so, then he's got a long way to go. No matter how good they made their partners sound, I could only see them as a group of brainwashed sheeps.
