Be ready

Aurora groaned slightly as she opened her eyes. She glanced around and saw her mother seated next to her father with her head on his shoulder and worried look on their faces.

"Father? Mother? What happened?" They gasped as they jumped up to their feet and ran over to her.

"Oh my baby, why did you do such a thing? Don't you care about us anymore?" Aurora furrowed her eyebrows at her mother's words.

"I don't understand what's going on. What did I do?" She couldn't remember anything for some reason. Her mind was literally blank.

Roseline glanced at Nikolas before taking a seat on the bed with a sigh.

"Xavier told us you stopped taking his blood and kept them in your wardrobe so we won't see it. Why would you do that?" Aurora's eyes widened as everything suddenly came crashing down her.

That mysterious man had tried to kill her but Xavier had managed to save her and…

She let out a shriek as she touched her lips.

"What is it? Are you in pain?" Her mother questioned as they stared Down at her with worry in their eyes.

Aurora's cheeks turned pink as she meekly shook her head.

"No I just… I'm sorry for not taking the blood. I just feel really bad for him but it's not his fault, he got pretty mad at me when he found out. This is entirely my idea" Nikolas sighed.

"Why don't you rest for a little while? Your mother and I will go have something prepared for you to eat" Nikolas murmured as he grabbed Roseline's hand, who was reluctant to leave Aurora but after a while, she sighed and stood up.

"If you need anything or feel some kind of way, reach out to me or your father, okay?" Aurora nodded.

"Wait, how long was I unconscious?" She questioned.

"It's the next day, love. Thankfully, you weren't unconscious for too long" Nikolas muttered then they both placed a kiss on her forehead before they walked out of the room.

As soon as they were gone, Aurora touched her lips again and a slow smile appeared on her face.

She shrieked with joy as she rolled around on the bed. She closed her eyes as she tried to imagine his lips on hers again. His lips had felt so soft that she hadn't wanted to let go. If she had the chance, she would have kissed him till she ran out of breath.

Who knew she would love kissing so much?

"Technically, he didn't kiss you. He just placed his lips on yours" Aurora rolled her eyes when she heard her wolf's voice. Why did she only come out when she wasn't needed?

"Let me daydream please" She uttered back then blocked out her wolf as she sat up straight on the bed.

As she thought of him again, a bright smile appeared on her face. Was he thinking about her the same way she was? Did he miss her? Did he feel lonely whenever she wasn't with him?

"Xavier?" She called out his name as she glanced around. When she didn't see him, she frowned. Why hadn't she gotten a hang of this summoning thing yet?

"Xavier, I summon you" She muttered as she continued to glance around, then she yelped when Leo appeared out of nowhere, staring at her with boredom and disinterest on his face.

"You are not Xavier" He scoffed at her words.

"Yeah no shit, Wolf" She gathered the blanket in her hand as she moved backwards till her back touched the headboard.

"Don't come near me. I'll hurt you" Leo tilted his head at her.

"Even an Ant is stronger than you" She frowned then began glancing around for any weapon she could use to protect herself.

Seeing this, Leo cursed under his breath before letting out a sigh.

"I'm not here to hurt you although I wish I could but Xavier said I couldn't for whatever reason. I'm just here to tell you to stop calling out for him, he's resting now and won't like to be bothered" She frowned.

"Oh… I didn't know. Is he okay?" Leo rolled his eyes.

"I don't believe this act you're Putting up, Wolf. You're just like the rest of them and I don't know what else can be done for Xavier to realize that you're just a blood leeching animal, nothing else" With that, Leo disappeared leaving Her devastated.

"But… but I really do care about him" She murmured to herself then let out a sigh as she fell back on the bed. Was he okay? She really wanted to go check up on him but Leo had said he didn't want to be bothered.

She groaned as she placed the pillow over her head. Being in love was so hard.

"What do you mean he just left?!" Azazel, Xavier's brother, yelled as he fumed with anger but deep down, he had a shrilling fear running down his spine and with the look on everyone's face in the room, they were feeling the exact same as him.

"That's… that's what I was told. He didn't hurt anyone. He just stood up and vanished" The guard reported with his head bowed and Azazel slumped back on the throne with a sigh as he massaged his temples.

He had just come back from a trip and this was the first news that greeted him. Just what was Leo planning?

"Maybe… maybe he went to meet Xavier. You know how loyal he is to him" Kitara, Xavier's ex lover, spoke up with a complex expression on her face.

"I don't care where he went. All I know is that he's going to fucking come back and cause a havoc. We can't let that happen" Azazel muttered.

"Too late" Their eyes widened as Leo suddenly appeared holding two heads with blood on his clothes and on his mouth.

He threw the head on the ground as he walked closer to Azazel.

Everyone was frozen with fear as they watched him but Azazel was the first to snap out of it.

"Get him now!" He ordered but before the guards couldn't even move, in the blink of an eye, Leo had slit their throats and their lifeless bodies fell to the ground.

"That wasn't a wise decision on your part, Azazel but then again, you have never really been known for making great decisions" Azazel frowned.

"Leave this place at once, I don't want to have to fight you" Leo chuckled.

"Well you don't want to fight me because you know you'll lose but as much as I want to kill everyone in this room, it's not my place to do so" Azazel furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why are you here?"

"Let's just say I'm here to pass down a message" Kitara stood up from her chair as she stared at Leo with wide eyes.

"From Xavier?" Azazel frowned at the excitement in her voice while she froze up when Leo turned to her with murderous eyes.

"Utter his name again and I'll rip out your throat" She gulped then slowly dropped her head.

"What… what message?" Azazel uttered, turning Leo's attention back to him.

A bright smile appeared on Leo's face and with his mouth and teeth stained with blood, he just looked like a monster.

"Be ready for his return"...
