Theodore frowned. He knew Lance was reckless, but he also knew damn well that Lance was probably the smartest out of the brothers.

He was academically gifted, even better than Theodore. But he had such a short attention span and was generally lazy, so he didn't try to study harder. 

"Are you sure you paid attention to him when he was young? Because he was the smartest out of us all," Theodore said while he glanced at Angel. 

Angel thought that Theo was trying to cover up for his little brother again.
