Chapter 11: “Love Like This”

After they ate dinner, Shen Xiaofan's parents rented a hotel at the restaurant. At first, they wanted to rent the family room, however, Shen Xiaofan knew her parents rarely get a chance to be alone. So, she decided to rent a different room than theirs. Her parents only think Shen Xiaofan is at her puberty, so she refuses to sleep in the same room as her parents. Wei Xiu blinked in confusion upon witnessing such thoughts. Now, she knew where Shen Xiaofan got her obliviousness. The fruit falls not far from the tree it is.

The hotel where they stayed is a seven-star hotel. Obviously, the price would be very expensive, and the place itself would be gloriously spacious. Upon entering the room, Wei Xiu was mesmerized by the room decoration. Even when she's alive, she had never stayed in a seven-star hotel before. After all, she's just an ordinary office lady. It will take a few months of her salary to have dinner and stay in a place like this.

"Xiaofan, your parents are really rich.", Wei Xiu said while laying on the long couch and turned on the TV with her spiritual power. Being a ghost sure is convenient, you don't even need a remote to turn on the TV. Just flick your finger and it will be turned on.

"People often said the same thing. I admit, my parents sure are rich, but I wish they would spend their time with me more often.", Shen Xiaofan headed towards the pantry and made a glass of hot tea.

"Xiaofan, there's a glass of champagne right over here and you're drinking tea?",

"Did you forget that I'm still underage to drink such a beverage?",

"Oh, come on. It's just the two of us? Who's gonna spy on us? Emily Chen?",

In the meantime, Emily Chen who was busy creating talismans suddenly sneezes, "Tss, someone must've talked about me.", she didn't know who's free enough to waste their time talking about her. Anyway, she continued her work as usual.

At the same time, Shen Xiaofan sat next to Wei Xiu who was lying on the couch. Somehow the sight of her leaning on the couch while holding a glass of wine was exquisite. Shen Xiaofan admired Wei Xiu's looks, she's tall, fashionable, and good-looking. Wei Xiu knew what Shen Xiaofan was thinking, she had always known that her looks can be very intimidating, but for the first time, she's proud to have a good-looking face. Let Shen Xiaofan see her face more and fall in love with her!

"Wei Xiu, what about your parents? I mean… did they mourn you when you died?",

"My parents were already dead when I was in high school. I lived with my relatives, but they never cared enough about me. So, I didn't even bother checking on them.",

"I see…", Shen Xiaofan drank her tea and continued, "I'm sorry…",

Wei Xiu used her spiritual power to drink the champagne, "If you truly feel sorry, try to make up for it.", Wei Xiu actually half-serious about this, she wanted to see how Shen Xiaofan would cheer her up. Then again, she already said that she's bad at cheering people up. So, Wei Xiu didn't expect much.

"Well, how about we went outside?",

Oh? Perhaps she could hope just a little this time…

"Sure, where do you want to take me?",

"There's a park in this hotel. Perhaps we could go cycling together.",

Wei Xiu was pleasantly surprised, who knew that Shen Xiaofan was secretly a passionate girl?

"Go on, take me.",

"Sir, can we rent this bike?", Shen Xiaofan said while getting out her purse. The guy at the bicycle loan services tickled his ear and asked,

"We?",

"I mean, me…",

Shen Xiaofan forgot that ordinary people couldn't see Wei Xiu. Unless they have a special vision like Emily Chen, or are being helped by a media like her bracelet. Shen Xiaofan took the bicycle and waited for Wei Xiu to sit behind her, but it has been quite a while and Wei Xiu is only staring at her.

"Do you dislike the idea?", Shen Xiaofan asked.

Wei Xiu shook her head and sat on the passenger's seat.

"Hold on to me, less the wind blew you away.",

"I'm not a smoke.",

Shen Xiaofan chuckled and began to push the pedal. The two went cycling together at the grand hotel's park. There was a fountain with red and blue light beneath the water. Wei Xiu enjoyed the sight before her until her eyes landed on the girl before her, Shen Xiaofan.

With the wind blowing by and tousling her dark brown hair, Shen Xiaofan looked very photogenic and beautiful.

Wei Xiu could feel her chest beating like crazy. She imagined what Shen Xiaofan would look like when she became an adult? Wei Xiu somehow ended up daydreaming about her life with adult Shen Xiaofan, it was very dreamy.

Meanwhile, Shen Xiaofan herself is unaware that the ghost lady behind her is daydreaming about their future together. Shen Xiaofan suddenly stopped at the small stand that sells fireworks. Shen Xiaofan tried to call Wei Xiu if she wanted to light fireworks together. However, Wei Xiu was still in her own dream, and Shen Xiaofan couldn't touch or shout at her, she's a ghost after all. Hence, Shen Xiaofan ended up buying a few fireworks and lit one of them.

Wei Xiu, who had just finished her daydreaming, was surprised by the small fireworks before her. Right now, her sweet Shen Xiaofan is holding a small fireworks sticks in her hands,

"I kept calling you but you won't answer, so I bought you fireworks. It's beautiful at night with all these lights at the park.",

Wei Xiu couldn't restrain her smile and suddenly hugged Shen Xiaofan,

"Xiaofan, I love you.",

Shen Xiaofan could hear Wei Xiu whisper the love words, Shen Xiaofan thought it was love for friends. So, she said,

"I love you too, Ah-Xiu.",

Wei Xiu was taken aback, she releases Shen Xiaofan and asked, "What did you say?",

"I said I love you too(?)",

"Do you... really meant it?",

Shen Xiaofan chuckled and nodded her head, "You're someone whom I wanted to spend time with other than Song Ehuang.",

Wei Xiu tilted her head and blinked in confusion, "Hold on, why do you compare me with Song Ehuang?", did Shen Xiaofan actually loved Song Ehuang? With this thought, Wei Xiu could feel her heart stabbed and hurt.

Shen Xiaofan could sense the disappointment in Wei Xiu and ask back,

"Because I love both of you?",

Wei Xiu was perplexed by Shen Xiaofan because she didn't expect Shen Xiaofan to be THIS oblivious. Hence, she said it again... solemnly,

"Xiaofan, when I said love... I mean it like this.",

Wei Xiu suddenly kissed Shen Xiaofan on her lips, she used her spiritual power so Shen Xiaofan could feel the soft touch on her lips.

Shen Xiaofan was taken aback, she froze on the spot, and couldn't process what just happened.

Did Wei Xiu just kiss her?

But why?

Shen Xiaofan had a lot of questions inside her head, but most of it was due to her shocked state. Wei Xiu couldn't help but get nervous, is Shen Xiaofan disgusted by it?

However, Shen Xiaofan could gather her thoughts quickly and said, "Do you mean like... in a romantic way?",

Wei Xiu nodded her head and waited for Shen Xiaofan's response, it's her first time confessing to someone. The eagerness and her expectations overlapped, even she couldn't tell what she was expecting. Wei Xiu wanted to say something, however, Shen Xiaofan spoke before her,

"Sure.",

"Xiaofan, what did you say?",

"I said... sure. If you're okay with me.",

Back at the hotel, Wei Xiu happily leaned on the couch while reading the magazine on the coffee table. Shen Xiaofan opened the fridge and took a bottle of mineral water. After the sudden confession and positive response, Wei Xiu felt amazing today. She couldn't wait for what else could she do with Shen Xiaofan other than kissing. Meanwhile, Shen Xiaofan felt nothing unusual and approached Wei Xiu on the couch.

"Ah-Xiu, do you like fashion magazines?",

"Yes, I like to copy the style of the magazine for going out and work. What about you Xiaofan?", Wei Xiu tapped the couch next to her, telling Shen Xiaofan to sit.

Shen Xiaofan sits next to Wei Xiu while drinking the water, "I don't really read those stuff. My mother usually picked my dress.",

"Xiaofan, you're already sixteen, try to decide something by yourself.",

"I'm already deciding things by myself… other than my clothes of course.",

Wei Xiu deliberately closed the distance and brought her face closer to Shen Xiaofan, "Oh, really? Tell me… my sweet Xiaofan, what else did you choose other than going out with me?",

Shen Xiaofan felt that Wei Xiu is even more aggressive than usual. In the past, she used to deliberately do this kind of thing to her. She had always paid no mind to it, but now that they're dating, she is kind of aware of her mood.

"To grow old with you.",

Wei Xiu was expecting Shen Xiaofan to fall silent, but she had given her the most-unexpected-yet-very-like-her answer. Now, Wei Xiu was the one who fell silent and covering her face with her palm,

"I didn't expect you to answer like that.",

Shen Xiaofan couldn't tell what Wei Xiu was expecting of her. However, seeing Wei Xiu get embarrassed like that made her feel satisfied.

"Then, be sure to expect more answers for me.", Shen Xiaofan smiled and drank the water again, today is a good day.
