1 Chapter 1
Once upon a time
There was a fat mother penguin
Who hatched her eggs with love
She longed for the day she would see her little penguins.
Finally, that day arrived.
"My little penguins are going to look lovely!"
"But what is that?"
The mother couldn't bear it
Because that penguin of her was so ugly.
She hated her ugly penguin.
So she banished the little ugly penguin from their nest.
The little penguin wondered around.
He was so sad that he was crying non-stop.
Sharon's POV
"That's the way it's supposed to be. An ugly penguin must be banished, that's the right thing to do" I told Sadness unnie. She looked at me disappointed but I didn't care because I was just stating a fact. The fact that... that ugly penguin shouldn't be with them 'cause he's a disgrace in his ancestors.
"Oh, Ms. Sharon. Despite our differences, everyone is beautiful on their own way. Who knows, the ugly penguin might turn into a beautiful swan one day?" I listened to Sadness unnie's ridiculous rant about the ugly penguin turning into a swan. I just mentally facepalmed.
"Oh sadness unnie... How can an ugly duckling turn into a swan? It can't have a plastic surgery!" I teased her as she looked defeated. Sadness unnie is really funny. I mean, her ridiculous assumption of the ugly penguin being a swan is really impossible.
"Ms. Sharon, that's how the story ended. Do you know what happened? She wasn't a penguin. She actually became a beautiful swan. The moral of the story is..." Sadness unnie trailed as she waited for me to answer her.
"Don't be stupid like the mother penguinnn!! Before hatching her eggs, she should have looked more closely." I explained my side but adding a little tease at my statement. Sadness unnie looks so done right now.
"Ms. Sharon, here's the moral of the story... We should be proud of what we have. Despite our differences, we should accept that we have our own version of beauty." She lecture me as she keeps pointing her index finger with every word she says.
"Sadness unnie, you still tell me such stories as if I'm a child. I'm already 18 years old." I pouted at her and she just smiled and pat my head.
"Am I beautiful?" I asked as she put my hair behind me and smiled.
"Very beautiful!!! Your beauty is incomparable." Sadness unnie exclaimed. This is why I love sadness unnie. Even tho sometimes she talk nonsense... She will always remind me that I'm beautiful.
"Please take a photo for me. Make me look slim" I asked sadness unnie as I handed her my phone.
"Of course, slim and... Stop moving. The photo will be blurred." She says she shakily hold my phone.
"It's you unnie! You have to keep the photo in focus" I explained to her.
"Don't breathe and be quiet Ms. Sharon. Don't breathe." Sadness unnie scolded me.
"Okay" I nodded and posed for the pictures.
"I'll take a photo now... One, two, three."
