59 Celebration (7)

"I'm the Unseen Threat,"

"And I will make sure that no one will believe you've even existed,"

Within my metal mask my cheeks were flushed red.

I was cringing so hard that not even my <Mind of the Murderer> could hold back those emotions.

But I composed myself at least now all of her attention was directed towards me.

Yet my eyes widened as a translucent blue screen appeared before me.

[A contract has been created]

What?

A contract?

{Contract: Terror in Tyresia}

[Kill the Traceless Terror]

<Reward - A New Skill>

<Time Limit - None>

<Penalty - Death>

A loud thump forced my eyes away from the screen.

The legendary assassin jumped from the ceiling to the floor with her tendrils.

The nobles around couldn't even move as they gazed upon the terrifying figure before their eyes.

Both of our gazes locked with one another again.

Then slowly more and more tendrils started to form from her back.

"You will personally make sure that I never existed?"

"Hahahaha...."

"You are no threat,"

"You are nothing but a second-rate assassin,"

"And you dare to try to assassinate me?"

The tendrils behind her back started to point at me.

"I will grip and crush you like a wor-"

"Are you done yapping?"

"Then how about you look around you"

As she turned her head I could see her eyes widen.

The mages around us had finally composed themselves and were now about to use their spells.

The terror's right eye hastily started to glow purple but it was all too late.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

[Fireball]

[Magic Arrow]

[Rock Spear]

[Lighting Strike]

The sheer power of all the spells shook the hall to the very ground.

The nobles around watched the scene unfold protected by the magic barriers from the mages.

My eardrums could have been destroyed if the spells continued to shower her but after a while.

It finally stopped.

The knights who were knocked down earlier now surrounded the place where the terror tasted the might of the coldfeathers.

And as the dust settled.

There laid the terror.

On her knees with her grey cloak that was now in tatters.

Blood dripped around her body from the countless wounds and a part of her skin blackened from the spells.

The cloth hiding the lower part of her face was now ashes.

Yet the hatred in her eyes still lingered as she looked at me.

Then the hall soon shook again.

A screeching scream could be heard.

Hundreds of tendrils erupted out of her body from everywhere.

It knocked all the knights surrounding her to the floor.

The mages started to ready their spells once again.

But without wasting a second the terror used her tendrils to latch on the chandelier above.

I tensed my muscles and started to decide whether should I activate my <Mirage > or my <Fortitude > skill.

But in the end, I didn't need to use any of them.

With her tendrils, she launched herself into the air.

But it wasn't towards me.

The sound of glass being broken above could be heard.

And as I raised my head I let out a sigh of relief as I stared at the now-broken glass.

She retreated huh,

Finally, my entire body was aching and at any moment I could feel my mind faint.

Even with <Fortitude > a single strike from her can reduce my body to this state.

I need to grow stronger.

But then a translucent screen appeared before me that made me forget all about the pain.

[You have successfully cleared a <Main Mission> ]

[You have been rewarded 5000 pts]

In my mask, I made a smile that reached the upper parts of my cheeks.

Just one more to go.

"Unseen Threat"

A voice made me turn and raise my head.

With long black hair and silver eyes.

It was Wyatt Greywolf.

With his mouth slowly opening and closing.

He was trying to tell me something.

But my job here was done so before he could spit it out.

I just nodded at him and used the last token of my <Mirage > while simultaneously activating my <Discreet Steps>

With hushed steps and a faint existence, I made my way out of the hall and into the bathroom from earlier.

As I entered I quickly changed my clothes and waited inside the bathroom.

My entire body was aching so I sat on the golden toilet.

Soon a cough was let out from my mouth.

Portions of blood fell to the floor.

My vision was getting hazy so I started to breathe slowly.

[I pity you, Troi,]

A voice rang in my head.

It was Theo.

but I chose to ignore him and opened my status.

[God's Guidance]

Name: Troi Leobrera

Title: Unseen Threat

Points: 15,000

[Occupation: Assassin {Stage 4}]

(Missions)

(Skills)

(Contracts)

I started to chuckle.

One more mission left.

I wiped the blood on my face with my hand.

And washed it in the sink.

I sat on the golden toilet once again and closed my eyes.

I need to rest for a little bit.

But then I heard a voice calling my name.

"Troi!??"

"Are you here?"

"Troi??"

As they got closer I recognized who they were.

"Yeah! I'm here,"

"I-Is it over?"

I purposely made my voice sound terrified.

I slowly opened the door and I saw the faces of Kyle, Wyatt, and Mark.

And on cue made my face express some relief.

"Did you hide here during it all?" It was Mark but I was shocked a bit seeing that there was no mockery in his voice.

I expected them to mock me for being a coward but it was clear that they didn't care.

"Yeah, as soon as I saw that assassin, I ran"

"What happened?"

I slapped myself on the back seeing how perfect I was acting right now.

I should've been an actor in my past life.

"I'll tell you later right now, Duke Greyfold is making us go home,"

"Alright, man let's go thanks for looking for me,"

As we walked towards the exit I could see thousands of nobles on the ground clearly terrified of the whole ordeal.

Then as I gaze at the hands of Mark, Wyatt, and Kyle.

They were shaking non-stop.

It must've been a traumatic experience for them.

Well, I'm just glad it was finally over.
