Chapter 4: The Pack

Marcus, still in his velociraptor form, dodged the T-Rex's attack once more, but he knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer. Just as the T-Rex was about to strike again, a pack of smaller, feathered theropods appeared out of nowhere, distracting the giant predator.

The theropods, similar to Marcus's current form, chattered and snapped, nipping at the T-Rex's flanks. The T-Rex swatted at them, but they were too quick, too agile. Marcus realized that these theropods were his kin, his pack.

Without hesitation, Marcus joined the fray, using his sharp claws and teeth to help drive the T-Rex away. Together, the pack of theropods chased the T-Rex into the distance, their triumphant cries echoing through the forest.

As they returned to their nesting grounds, Marcus transformed back into his human form, exhausted but exhilarated. The pack's alpha, a wise and aged theropod, approached him, and Marcus felt a strange connection, as if they shared a deep understanding.

The alpha theropod spoke to him in a series of clicks and chirps, and Marcus, to his surprise, understood. "You are one of us now, shape-shifter," the alpha said. "Together, we will hunt, we will protect our pack, and we will survive in this ancient world."
