"We're Free!!" Fiona shouted happily as they all watched the last bit of the snow be defrosted out, the streets were no longer lined with snow or had flurries come in. Spring was here and they officially were in the last week of school, summer was coming soon and everyone couldn't wait.

Summer was always the easiest for them though, it had way more job opportunities for them to get things done, Debbie and her daycare, Lip and his ice cream truck and Ian got more hours at cash and grab. Everyone couldn't wait for it to happen, they were all literally shaking with excitement, Carl couldn't wait for the summer at all.

His main thing was being able to spend time with Kassidi a lot more, the major test in this past two weeks making it where they couldn't see one another much, it made them both sad as all they could do was talk on the phone. Jordan also had to slow down some when it came to making the game, which Carl thought was actually a good thing, the last time he seen his friend the kid was running on fumes.

So it was better for him to not be working so hard on that, even Carl took breaks but Jordan was determined to get it finished before the winter came.

Carl poured out his coffee which had gotten cold and stood up, "Well as fun as this was. I have plans for the day, so I will see you all later."

"Oh, going to meet up with your girlfriend?" Ian teased as he reached out and ruffled Carl's hair.

"Girlfriend?" Fiona asked confused as she looked at him intensely wondering what was happening.

"Yeah you didn't know? Carl went to the ballet and everything just to see her, bet you also did something romantic after huh?" Ian teased again.

Lip was there too but every since it had come out that Karen had slept with Frank he hadn't been the same, Carl thought he might have forgiven them both after he pissed on Frank. That wasn't the case though as he just seemed to hate them more, he didn't step in to say anything though, he had been warning him about her after all.

"The ballet? Who is this girl Carl?" Fiona asked a sly smirk on her face as she lifted Liam who was crawling to get to her.

He shrugged his shoulders, "It's just Kassidi, we aren't dating though. We are near that point but haven actually gotten together yet."

Fiona nodded as she set Liam up in his high chair so that he could have lunch, "Fine, well make sure you treat her right when you do get together. No need to run off when things were just getting good."

Carl didn't touch that, Steve/Jimmy had ran off after the whole Lip and Ian being arrested thing, he could have sworn the day she told them that the night before he saw her come in with a suitcase. He just didn't mention it, because if his thoughts went to what she might have been doing with it, well he would just have to completely give up on them all.

"This has been great sibling bonding time, but I am meeting up with Sophia so I will see you all later." He waved while walking away.

"Don't let your girl Kassidi know, she might think your cheating!" Ian yelled behind him making the others laugh.

Rolling his eyes Carl left, he was meeting up with Sophia at the recording studio, they had put out five videos since the first, and they had been doing quiet well, but their singing were still their best. Sophia had talked him into making more music, so he sat down and 'made' more, they were duets this time though, he found some for them to do separately.

"Good you aren't late Carl, so what did you write this time?" Sophia said with a smile while sitting on the couch just outside the booth. Spencer Whitman the sound board guy was sitting there messing with the dials, Carl and him hand made the melodies and such the day before so all they needed to do was sing.

Rolling his eyes he brought out his note book which he kept the music sheet written on, "Well I have two a piece here for us. First is mine which are *'Joe' and 'Birthday Party', for you I have *'Ocean Eyes' and 'Issues'."

"Alright, well let's hear yours first. This is the first time I am seeing mine so I should learn my lyrics first." Sophia said taking while looking over the two songs that he had shown her.

Nodding he went into the booth while pointing to Spencer, "Let's start with 'Joe' my good sir."

Spencer nodded as the tune began to play.

'I believed in god back in eighth grade

He could smoke an eighth on a school day

Remember when you laughed at my last name?

Now I go by Met, is that less lame

But in a couple of years, I'll be so out of here

Carl bounced around as the song played, he noticed Sophia smiling as she was recording him on her phone, no doubt it would be sent to Jordan and Kassidi so that they could both see it too. He was dancing like an idiot but there was just something about this beat which always seemed to set him off now matter what, he just couldn't control it at all.

'I could make a joke but it feels strange

Every time she laughed it would feel fake

But you could make her laugh in a real way

It took a little while but I found love

I thought you'd reply you just thumbed up

I play a lot of shows but you don't come

The rest of the time was spent with him jumping the booth basically to the beat, he even tried to drop it low, which didn't work as he was hardly able to make himself pop back up like he pictured in his head. Instead he was awkwardly limping now as he nodded his head taming his body a lot.

Sophia was sitting right outside the booth laughing, all he did was smile seeing that, at least she was getting some good entertainment out of his misery.

Knowing he needed to rest a moment he walked out, "Well I am glad to see you are happy about my misfortune. Would you like to give it a try now?"

She laughed but nodded her head, "Yeah sure, I am really loving these too. Especially 'Ocean Eyes' let's hope I can sing it how you wanted."

Carl encouraged her not that he really needed to, but when she got into the booth he could have sworn that he was seeing the original singers there, he hoped this honored her a lot as she was one of his favorites. Sophia didn't do her wrong at all with the way she sang it, and she also nailed 'Issues' too which was another all time favorite of his.

When he finished singing 'Birthday Party' they left, "So, want to go get some donuts?" He asked as they walked outside, it was warm enough that they weren't afraid of freezing.

She nodded her head, "Yeah, but we will need to go back to min or your place to make them. It is two in the afternoon after all."

He sighed, "I know, why can't people realize that donuts all an all day thing."

She patted his shoulder as they started walking towards hers, "Whatever you say Carl."
