Chapter 12): Sophia's Idea (1)

"And in other news, police are still looking for Anna Copper, twenty-four year old jogger who went missing two nights ago. Police are asking for anyone with any information to call and report it as her family is growing more concerned." An anchor reported trying his best to sound sad, but honestly it wasn't working much.

Carl raised a brow at the TV hearing that, his eyes sparkled some before he looked away from it as Fiona walked into the room, "And what are your plans for the day Carl?"

He shrugged, "Haven't decided yet, it is the weekend and I should be using the time to clean the basement, but I am feeling lazy today."

It has been two weeks since the whole Aunt Ginger thing, Fiona was also back with Steve as Tony was just to much of a clinger, well that is if Carl was reading him right, which usually he did. He had cleaned most the basement but there were still some things he needed to take out, from most he had found he knew a meth lab had been created down there.

Talking to a drunk Frank had let him know his Grandma Gallagher had started that, it as the reason she was in jail as she had recruited some college kids to help her out, resulting in one dying. He respected the hussle, he just thought she was stupid for doing it out of the house though, never being your dirty laundry home, that was just stupid.

Anyway, he wasn't really rushing the whole basement thing seeing as it was something that would cost money to even fix up, he didn't plan on taking his current bed down there. He also was getting it to himself, while Ian and Lip were kind of jealous they didn't really care about him having it, they kept.making rat jokes which he just shrugged off, he could kill them.

He took out his new phone which was the latest from Apple, checking the time he saw that it was just past noon, there was a message from Sophia for him so he decided to check that.

Hey, want 2 do something 2day? I am bored sitting around this house!!}

He chuckled while replying positively, he would rather do something with her then sit around the house, it would get stale around here unless they had the next major event happen. And seeing as at the moment it was only Fiona, Liam and him in the house, well it was going to be boring, she really didn't like him doing much and most things he wanted to do he was to young for anyway.

"I really still don't like you moving down there. What is wrong with sleeping in the room with Ian and Lip?" Fiona said with a frown as she poured Liam something in his sippy cup.

Rolling his eyes he grabbed his coat off the back of the chair, "I already explained this to you Fiona, I don't want to stay in the room with them forever. There are four males in this house, honestly how long do you think Debbie will want to share a room with Liam.

She is going to be going into her preteen years, then teen years soon. She will not want to share her room with a growing toddler, it is either this or we will be even more cramped in that room."

Fiona sighed knowing he was right, "Where are you going?"

"Don't know yet, Sophia asked to hang out and I accepted better then sitting around here bored."

"....is she your girlfriend?" She asked making him pause at the back door as he was just about to leave.

Carl looked back at her while shaking his head, "Ummm...no. She is my best friend though."

Fiona watched him a moment before nodding, he didn't stick around to hear if she had anything else to say, instead he just took off while shaking his head at her. Sometimes she just meddled for no reason, and put thoughts into his head like a real witch, he never saw Sophia in that way.

There were reasons for that though, the first and major being that he was still a kid and as long as he couldn't do anything they he didn't want to have those types of feelings for anyone. Second was that Sophia was a kid, he knew she would grow up to be a very beautiful woman, all you had to do was look at her mom, but for now all she was is a kid.

Which he found creepy to even think of her as anything other then a friend, maybe in a few years though.

Walking to the front of the house he saw her standing there making him smile, "What's up chica, what did you want to do today?" He said throwing an arm over her shoulder.

She grinned while holding his arm tightly, "I have the perfect thing, and I decided 'Hey, I should do this with my best friend's so here you are."

Carl waited and when she didn't go any further into it he chuckled, "And what is this great idea of yours?" He asked.

"I thought you would never ask my dear minion. My idea is to become YouTube Stars, that things is taking off and we can get in on it too. I already have the perfect things too." She said bouncing with excitement as she held his arm.

"Oh yeah? What's that?"

"We're going to make a channel called 'Sophia and Carl's Life!' where we post videos of us doing new things each week. Sometimes it will just be us sitting around and talking about new things, but we will also have a page where people can find us.

See the page will have multiple things on it from small things like trying a really classy restaurant, to big things like traveling to another country. It will be all donations so that when the donation for a certain things is full we will complete it or do it.

Every time a donation is full we will post a video about it a week later at most, but in between will be small videos of us hanging out or getting ready to complete the big ones."

She looked at him after she finished talking looking for his input.

He nodded slowly, he didn't see a problem doing this with her, but he decided if they were doing this then they were going all out, he wanted to be as big as Mr. Beast from his past life. "Alright I am in, but I also have some ideas too that I want to throw in there. Just so we have some variety in there so people won't get bored."

She squealed nodded her head, "Of course. It is Sophia and Carl's Life!' so you are a big part too. And I heard we can earn money from this, so we can split that fifty-fity. First though we need to learn everything about filming and editing, I won't pay people for that until we really make it!"

Carl could agree with those terms he knew that at the beginning when people started out they tended to edit their own stuff because they were broke and couldn't afford to pay for someone else. He planned to learn how to do everything related to this area though, if he was going to do it then he would do it right, that included all the smallest details like making interesting thumbnails.

"Alright, so how are we starting this?" He asked with a raised brow.

She smiled sweetly, "Well first to the library, if I am going to get my dad to invest in any of this then I need to prove to him we know what we are doing. Otherwise we will be on our own buying equipment and anything else we might need."

He was relieved to hear that, he knew that Mr. Vegas spoiled his daughter but really only when she put in the work, if she didn't put in the work then more often then not he wouldn't do something for her. So knowing that she actually went to the library and found out everything, then he knew that the man would be their sponsor, of course he would also make them pay him back sometime in the future.

Which if things took off like Carl hoped they would then that would only take a couple of years, he knew that at the beginning it would be slow moving but the more work they put into it the more they would gain. While he couldn't do this in his past due to him not starting when the craze was happening, he was sure that if he put in the work now then they would reach the top before anyone else could.

Plus with his future knowledge then they could corner a market before anyone else could even get in on it, he smiled just at the thought of it all. He would have to talk to her about doing some gameplay, not all but just some major games, if they came out in this world like they did his past.

"Let's go!" Sophia said pulling him harder as he started to slow down, she was really excited about this idea, he couldn't blame her though.
