Chapter 208 - Selfishness
The nobleman that wanted to drug his people being frightened and terrified was what Aile was going for. While he could get rid of him now, it would only create more problem for him, not to mention Fiona, Emily and the others would end up dealing with it. His plan was to make the groups of nobles deal with each other, allowing them to take the town in one fell swoop. This was the first person who planed against Sara and Sophie, and he will also be the first to be dealt with. He had a fascinating plan for them.
Aile slowly explained the choices of losing his manhood and waited for him to pick one, almost gave him a heart attack.
His overbearing attitude crumbled, and he no longer demanded anything. He finally realized that the person in front of him did not care about his background. He had also seen the recording crystals as he confessed to his crime. Not to mention, he was forced to add details that not a lot of people knew to make it irrefutable for him to deny those crimes.
After those confessions, he knew that his current lifestyle would already be over. The only future he saw himself live was one with a simple life with his women away from the town. There was no way that he could have any of his current standing in the clan once the recording goes out. Just when he thought that things could not get any worse, he was asking him about how he wanted to be turned in to a eunuch, leaving him to only despair. The only thing left for him was to beg, and he did that.
"Please..." He winced and started begging.
Aile then changed his tone and said, "Well, I can also think of a better option where the recording of your crimes will not go out, and neither will you be turned into a eunuch. But I do not think you will like that."
A little colour returned to his face, and he curiously asked what will he have to do. Aile smirked as his goal was achieved. After a 10 minutes conversation and a fate seal, the nobleman was conflicted. But he went to take a bath and become presentable to meet his elders. Meanwhile, outside the bathing room, the maid was curiously asking Aile who he was, about his experience and how he learnt these things and how long he will be here for. Aile answered the first few questions and was about to answer another as he was curiously studied when Sara and Sophie arrived. His answers were very generalized, so there was nothing confidential there.
Sara and Sophie gave Aile a hug and a kiss, then they whispered to Aile that there will be a surprise for him tonight. Aile told them that he was excited to find out, but he will not be increasing the intimacy between them for the first three days. They pouted and were annoyed, telling him that three days will not change anything. Aile knew that but wanted them to consciously accept their decision and not make it something that happened in the spur of the moment. So if they have any doubt, then they can solve in the three days, before they become close. Seeing that Aile did not reject them made them somewhat happy, but waiting three days as the price was something they had to accept, even if they were not content with it. Plus he said they will not increase the intimacy. So they can still continue to today's level and slowly build upon that, that is something that they can be happy with. After the conversation, Sara and Sophie whispered to each other as they could not continue with their current plan to surprise him, and they decided to come up with an alternative. They soon smirked about something.
Then they bid their farewell and were planning to get back to their things after confirming that Aile would come to them later. Before leaving, Sara said, "Anna, we need you to help with something."
The noble maid Anna walked a few steps and looked back. She did not want to missout on anything, but she had a job, and so she reluctantly left. She looked at Aile and then them, and after waving at him goodbye, she went with Sara and Sophie.
As they walked away from Aile, Anna curiously asked about Aile from the girls. They talked a little, explaining things about him and seeing that her curiosity was not sated, Sara hinted to Anna to keep her distance from Aile. Sara also brought up her and Sophie's relationship with him, making Anna disheartened. Anna had pledged everything to them. Yet this was the first time there was a clash between what she wanted and her promise.
Anna did not mind it because she had gained a lot from them, and every decision would have resulted in losing some opportunity. But she was human, and she could not help but think what if?
Aile, with the now well-dressed noble, walked towards the meeting room. Entering the room, the nobleman quickly went to his elders. The restlessness of the elders also disappeared, seeing that their heir was fine. Aile asked about the negotiation, and they replied that they had already accepted the terms of Fiona. Aile feigned disappointment that he did not get to participate, and soon they left.
Fiona was happy as she got certain things from them that she wanted and now she can better increase her influence. Aile asked if she wanted his help with anything, she shook her head, saying that she can handle everything from here. Aile had no intention of taking over her work, and as someone who had spent more time here, she was much more suited to deal with the rest. As he had planned to spend the night with Sara and Sophie. He decided to spend the rest of the day and night with Fiona and Emily.
