Chapter 159 - Gaining the inheritance

Smirking again for no reason, he slowly formed a fist as a suction forced sucked everything around him. By the time his fist was closed, the suction halted. But nothing was physically pulled only the souls of the dead people gathered losing their consciousness and turning to pure soul force. Once he opened his fist a round small-crystal resembling a pearl came into view, it gave off a powerful soul energy. It had grown layer by layer from the dead souls until it was the size of a marble taking a physical appearance. He placed the marble of souls in his pocket, and ran, jumped and dashed in another area of the battlefield, and the slaughter began anew.

Every time he was fatally injured, the death of his enemies became a tonic and restored him, and their souls made the marble-sized pearl grow. Once the pearl was the size of an apple, he took out a chain that had thousands of similar pearls attached to it and placed the newly made one in a socket. A smile formed on his mouth, and he lifted the axe high above his head and swung his sword to clear blood on it. Soon after the sound of their victory's celebration reverberated.

Aile was extracted from that memory, in front of him was the titan that had killed and killed. Aile had experienced this feeling and aura before, first hand and was standing in reverie in front of him. Aile's height was to his torso, and he was dressed in hides, he had sharp eyes and a grin on his face. His naturally braided hair, long beard and sharp eyebrows gave his face a bold appearance. His hand were devoid of any weapons and loosely by his side. While his footing was spaced apart, ready to be ambushed at any time.

With a rough, loud and arrogant tone, he said, "So you want my power?"

Aile simply replied, "Yes." Aile was doubtful of whether he would be able to get this inheritance. His strength did not match or was even close to the monster in front of him, his fighting style was different, the way they viewed fights were opposite. So with so many differences, it was unlikely for him to gain this ability and get the titan's attention.

Nonetheless, he wanted such an ability of endless regeneration. Such an opportunity was hard to come by, and he would not want to waste it. After all, according to the person shrouded in darkness, this orb is something ancient, so the person is dead. As long as Aile can show his worth, the person should choose him. Showing that battlefield required a lot of power, how many more times can he do that and what are the chances that someone to his liking will pick the orb after Aile dies.

"You are tiny, a little brave, and not manly enough. Tell me why should I give you my power." This surprised Aile once again, he could now understand this person and his language. It was not possible while he saw him in the fight but here he could.

"The inheritance and your power's name will survive in my hand. Giving it off to a brute who will die the first instant, when they get this power will be counter-intuitive of your last effort to save your legacy. It has a better chance of surviving and thriving in my hand." Aile was sure that there was no need to lie now, not to mention that there was a good chance that he will be caught with his measly cultivation trying to hide the truth. Plus he could guess a straight approach forward was what the giant person in front of him wanted.

The face of the person twitched.

Hhahahahah, "I was wrong, you are gutsy. First, you curse this king, who is alive, dead. Then you claim my style of fighting is rash, something that could lead to one's own death, and backwards. What makes you better than this king?" The room suddenly turned silent, and from the pressure exuded from him, everything turned stale.

Aile had made the assumption that the person was dead because the orb was ancient, which he now realized was wrong.

The titan could have used the ancient artefact to add something new in? Or maybe he has reached a high enough stage by now that time no longer has a meaning to him.

Since he could not flatter him, Aile apologized and told him what he thought about the fight. Including how a formation on their side would have helped. Or him killing the leader first and generate mass panic, making him deal with the enemies effortlessly subsequently. Because he clearly had the ability and the enemy's morals would be crushed, seeing a group of titans in a formation or their leader's death at the start of the fight. Aile had analyzed many more mistakes that could be solved, but he thought he made his point with the two.

The person nodded but laughed, saying, "Yes, you have a point, but why should I bother with that when in the end, the result was the same. Might wins against everything else."

Aile was tongue-tied, he could not argue, after all, he had already proved his action. To Aile surprise, he just grinned, seeing his reaction.

He then said to Aile that he found him intriguing and will give him the power under two conditions. One, he needs to destroy Lyon Family, with a Bow as their family symbol. They are somewhere in this realm, and when he finds them, he should deal with them. The titan claimed he could not be asked to come down there, and upon completion, he could get another ability of his. His second condition was to help any of his kind wherever he meets them.

Aile thought it was reasonable and nodded.

He saw him smirk as if he got away with something.

Then Aile suddenly felt like he got a lot of information after he felt something prickling his head. He then got information about how to control that ball that he absorbed, how to create bodies, and how to collect souls, turning them to soul energy crystal. There was more information. But he did not have access to it yet. It seems that the healing ability and restoration is not something he can use now like the titan.

Aile real body's eyes had turned black, and it returned back to normal as he finished talking and receiving the blessing to use the item. However, only 10 minutes had passed outside.

Hazel seeing Aile comeback to it hugged him and said, "Are you ok?"

Aile nodded and gently placed a kiss on her forehead.

Her stiff muscles finally calmed down, knowing that he was safe.

Aile figured out why all these bodies were collected here now. He also knows that the orb has now fully integrated with him. If he is killed, It would absorb Aile and create a big enough spectacle to attract many people even from upper realms. While it would disappear and travel through space. With the massive display, the area would turn into a battle of death, attracting many people.

Aile looked at his right hand and on its surface was a circular mark very similar to the titan's leader. Closing his eyes, Aile concentrated his energy to his hand and used the same method as before that he had experienced, he gathered his energy.

He was going to release the energy to pull the bodies around him then turned them into a body for the spirit kid.

He released a circle of energy, it retreated away from him for 2 metres and returned back. It only brought Hazel's body, who was hugging him closer, failing to even reach the locations that were away. Aile felt embarrassed. After all, from his experience when he was at the titan's body, he could pull things from many miles away.

In the awkward state, he no longer decided to pride himself in his abilities expecting the same results as his experience in the titan's body. He decided to start off from testing them at the lowest state climbing high.

Soon after he went to where the bodies were stored. Aile turned body after body to a liquid blob in a similar way to his experience in the titan's memory, when he restored himself. After converting 35 of them, he made a few hand gestures to concentrate and solidify the liquid blobs into a body. Sitting down, Aile closed his eyes as layers after layers of skin, muscles, ligaments, organs were stitched together. He followed the new information that was added to his mind after he gained the recognition of the old artefact.

Two days later, Aile was successful in creating the first body. It resembled the young spirit, after some modification.

She had a petite body, round face, with big lifeless eyes, dark red hair close to being black, from afar could be mistaken as brown. Aile sighed in relief as he completed the first body. Then the spirit came to them after she was called, and with the help of Aile, the amalgamation of darkness helped the little girl into her new body. Based on what she said, it would take her a few days to wake up. She still had to help the little girl settle in.
