11 Chapter 11: Sneaking and Meeting
In the awakened academy, there were more masters than people could believe at the same time.
Sunny- Lost from Light,
Nephis - Changing Star,
Effie - Raised by Wolves,
Kai - Nightingale,
Cassie - Song of the Fallen.
More than enough to take on any threat.
While they were celebrating the return of one among them, something else was lurking in the facility.

Two stories below, Rake was lurking around.
While Ayna had gone to get food, he made a move to check around the area.
He had some questions.
He used the [Strong Grasp] enchantment from his [Octopus Cover] memory to grasp onto the walls.
{Enchantment Description: "The suckers in the tentacles can hold onto anything according to the wearer's will."}
He blended into the shadows whenever they were present. He also crawled upside down to avoid all the cameras.
He suppressed and hid all the essence in his body.
Thus he managed to achieve a low level of stealth. However, that was enough.
He wasn't running around from any high-class nightmare creature. Just mostly mundane humans and some weak Awakened guards.
He was very careful about using essence as well. Who knows exactly where he is right now? Ayna could be lying. Her body language was extremely dodgy.
Rake may not have had human contact for a long time, but he wasn't stupid. Ayna was clearly hiding things.
The question is what? Also why?
Why was she hiding things?
'Time to find out.'

Back in the room, Ayna was in.
Seeing that Rake had suddenly disappeared, She raised a secret alarm. And Immediately called her superior.
"S..ss...Sir! He...He's escaped!! I can't find him. One second he was in the room and the next second he was gone!! I don't know what to do!!! Not even the cameras or essence sensors are picking up anything. It's like he disappeared!!!!!
What do I do!!!??"
She asked in a very panicked voice into the communication device.
"Stop! There's no need to worry. For now, just put the area into lockdown. Even if he decided to break through, there would be effects and the people would know where he is.
Stop worrying. Someone is going there who'll take care of him should he decide to wreak havoc."
"I understand sir."
Saying so, Ayna quickly put the entire research division on lockdown.
Well, that wasn't quick enough.
Cause Rake had already gotten into the records part of the division. The part that had info on him.
Was this simply a stroke of Luck? Or something else?
{AN: No need to get your hopes up. It wasn't something esoteric. Should be explained with the aspect reveal. Hopefully, there won't be a plot hole. Sigh.....}

After arriving, Saint Cor went directly to the research division.
Meanwhile Sunny just went about his business with the rest of his friends.
But for some reason, he felt that someone was watching him.
He looked around and saw a person watching him in the hallway that he was in.
The person had a simple awakened armor that had an octopus theme. The armor also looked a bit like a hoodie.
"Hello? Who are you? I don't think I've seen you among the awakened guards."
Sunny felt weird about the person. It was like he was staring at a nightmare creature. But he clearly was a human. Even had awakened armor.
"Oh, Hi. I'm Rake. You looked like someone I know. So I felt curious. By the way, can I ask your name?"
Sunny felt perplexed. But he had to reply due to his flaw.
"Yes, you can...."
And an awkward second later Rake said, "And that would be?"
"Sunless," Sunny replied.
"I see... Nice to meet you, Sunny. I'd love to chat with you later. I'm a bit busy right now. Goodbye."
Saying that the weird stranger started to go the opposite direction.
Sunny felt extremely perplexed. Something about the situation didn't feel right.
So, before the enigmatic character could go away he decided to peer into the soul of the person that was leaving before it was too late.
What he saw shocked him.

Inside he saw 7 ascended cores.
They were all different sizes and colors.
Also, the soul.
It looked like it was torn to pieces many times and patched together haphazardly.
"What??"
As he went to ask and know more about the person, he turned a corner and disappeared.
Even with Sunny's ascended senses, he could not sense Rake anymore.
To say he was alarmed would be an understatement.
He also noticed that he said his name was Sunless, yet the man called him Sunny.
The entire situation was confusing. However, he had enough to worry about without a weird Master on his mind. But he still decided to keep this in the back of his mind as something to worry about and investigate in the future.

After this small meeting, Rake went back to the Research division.
He had learned some very important information.
First, he learned about what timeline he was in Shadow Slave.
He learned of the Frenzy blood pill from the research logs.
Lastly, he could feel the essence of an extremely strong person in the facility. If his guess was correct it would be a Saint. This was an entity far stronger than Sunny who he had just met.
'Time to face the music I guess.'

Saint Cor arrived at the facility with no fanfare.
The public must remain unaware. So must the other saints and masters of the Clans as well. This was a very sensitive and secret matter.
In his eyes, the most important being in the upcoming struggle is Rake. Yet, he has gone missing for a while.
It has been two hours since he has gone missing.
So, he has sent all the crows around the area in the hopes of finding him.
He must find him before it's too late.
As Saint Cor is pondering the matter in a room with his crows searching, someone enters the room.
"Hello, sir. My name is Rake. And you are?"

AN: well, this was a short chapter. But it was a bit hard to juggle all the different POVs and twists. Hope you guys liked it. Also, I dropped some fat juicy hints of his Aspect ability. What are your guesses?
