1 Chapter 001 Thorn

Thorn was walking with his Sister, Arora. She was much older than Thorn. She had a beautiful coat with blue-gray spots all over. Thorn's coat was a dark green-gray color. They walked into the woods looking for food and herbs for their ill mother, Blue.

" Is Mother going to be okay, Arora?" Thorn asked his sister. His sister looked at him with a sad look in her eyes. "Yes, why ask that question. We take good care of her so there is nothing to worry about." She explained. Thorn looked at her with a hint of sadness.

"Ok… but I'm still worried about her," Thorn said. They continued walking without talking for about 10 minutes before a rustle caught Arora's attention. " Shh… stay quiet little brother." She whispered to Thorn. He nodded and turned away. Thorn's eye saw a butterfly above his head. He swiped at it but the butterfly dodged and flew away. He followed the elegant butterfly, swerving around trees and through bushes. The butterfly started to fly higher and higher so Thorn dropped down and jumped as high as he could, but the butterfly was just barely too high.

" Hello, young wolf." A voice said in the trees. " W-who's there?!" Thorn questioned as he backed up. He looked around wildly, searching for any movement. Thorn went into a pounce position. Then, his eye caught some movement and he jumped. He landed on a wolf-shaped shadow. This is not mine! He thought. Then something jumped from the trees and landed on Thorn's back. The creature crashed onto him and bit into his neck. Shiny red blood oozed out from the wound.

" AAAAGGGGHHHH!!" Thorn yelled with pain and terror in his eyes. He shifted into a crouch. Thorn clawed the creature's face so hard it splattered blood everywhere. Its face went to the side, leaving its jaws and very dark muscle showing. Blood trickled down the dark wolf's face.

" Bad choice young Thorn!' It said as a smile crossed its face. Then, its paw raised readying for a deadly blow. The paw swung, right before it hit Thorn Arora jumped out of nowhere and tackled the beast.

"RRRRAAAAGGGHHH!!!" Arora yelled as she unsheathed her claws and stuck them in the neck of the beast. The beast twitched before it lay limp, blood pouring out of the wound.

"Arora, what was that thing!?" Thorn asked, Horrified.

"I don't know, Brother," Arora said. " But I don't like it." Then Thorn and Arora saw another six wolves like the one before.

"RUN!!!" Arora yelled as the wolves ran after them. They ran as fast as they could. Thorn ran through a bush as a wolf jumped at him. Thorn swung his paw at it and scratched its rib cage. It made a screeching noise before falling into a bush. Thorn raced after his sister. He saw a wolf in his path.

" GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!" Thorn yelled as he jumped at the wolf. His body hit the shadow-like wolf and Thorn bit it in the neck as he pinned it. Thorn then broke its neck.

"Come on Thorn!" Arora yelled as she grabbed her brother by the scruff. He got out of Arora's grasp and kept running as fast as he could. He turned the corner and saw another four wolves in the way. Thorn ran to the two on the right as his sister ran to the left. Thorn felt a paw hit him in the head. Thorn rolled on the ground and then charged at one. Thorn smacked one of them in the eye and it fell backward, falling into a sharp log, impaling it. Thorn felt the other one bite him in the leg.

"AAGGHHH!" Thorn yelled and he bit it in the ear. Thorn looked at his sister's fight so well while he was doing terribly. His jaws still clasped on the wolf's ear, he tore it off. Blood spurted out of the wound. Thorn then scratched it in the eye and bit it in the neck and ripped its muscles. Blood sprayed everywhere, splatting on Thorn's nose and face. Thorn turned to see Arora getting attacked by 3 more of the dark shadow wolves. Thorn realized that his sister has scratches all over her body. Thorn ran over to Arora and tackled one of the wolf's as Arora scratched one in the eyes. Blood sprayed on Thorn's nose as he ripped a wolf's arms open. Blood trickled out of the shadow wolf's arm. Thorn then saw a whole hoard running towards them, Thorn and Arora turned and ran. They ran as fast as they could, taking deep breaths every 5 steps. They soon got to their den, where their mother lay, ill. Thorn ran in first, making his sister step in last. Arora looked around to see if the shadow wolf hoard was still after them. But no wolf but them insight.

They soon got to the den, where their mother lay there, unmoving. Thorn walked into the den to check on her. After Thorn saw what was left of her his rage inside him grew like a fire. Arora walked into the den.

" They did this to mother..." His rage inside him did not stop burning. " THEY WILL PAY OR WHAT THEY DID!!" Arora to a step back as Thorn ran into the forest searching for his enemies.
