3 Chapter 3

Dark, it was so dark that I couldn't see anything.

After that unbearable pain in my heart, my vision darkened and everything turned black in front of me.

So I assume that I died?

Well, what difference that can do. Al least I can be with Lily in the afterlife.

I said to myself while still couldn't see anything. I even can't know if my eyes are open or not, this due to this dark place where I'm.

Is this the afterlife? Can I now meet Lily?

Time passed.

I counted some numbers until I reached uncountable number so I stopped and now couldn't know how much time had passed since I was here.

Hello! Is anybody there? Answer me!

I said inwardly as my voice wasn't coming out at all.

Time passed again with me here doing nothing except talking to myself. It was funny at the as I was remembering my memories with my wife.

The first meeting, the first date, the first kiss and the first night. All of them were so precious to me and unforgettable.

I never get bored whenever I remember my memories with her.

And while immersing in my memories a white human shaped being appeared in front of me.

I looked at it and wondered, what is that?

"Oh, you poor soul." It said in a gentle soothing voice belonging to a woman.

"Although you were so talented, but you suffered in the end. The death of the most important person in your heart and the death of the most persons in your life. All of that broke your little loving heart. Oh you poor soul."

Hearing her saying that it made me remember the death of my wife that shattered my heart to pieces and the death of my parents that hurt me even more that caused my death in the end.

I felt sad and depressed yet anger at my inability to do anything to help them. I felt like I was useless at the moment.

Helpless and hopeless.

"I feel your pain, your suffer, your agony, your pain, your anger. I feel all of them clearly. But don't worry, the most important person to your heart is still alive."

Hearing this, I was shocked that I couldn't believe what I just heard.

Lily, my wife. Is still alive?

How?!

"Reincarnation."

This was the only world that being said.

So it was real? The things I read in novels and fanfictions were real?

Even those animes and manga I saw and watched in the past had the same thing.

Unbelievable!

"Yes, they are real and those anime worlds truly exist. After all the universe is vast and contains immense possibilities and potentials."

So Lily had been reincarnated? That's a relief.

After all, the woman who stole my heart was still alive in one of those worlds. But I don't know which one.

Which world did she reincarnated to?

"She seems to be in a world called Highschool DXD. Do you want to go there?"

Well, of course. My wife is there, so clearly I will go there. Besides, I know that world quite well, so it's okay.

Just, the world is still in the age of gods and I don't have any powers to protect me or my wife at all.

"Oh, don't worry about that, I will give some powers to help you. Consider them as my gift. Besides, your wife is so strong there."

I was surprised, but a feel of pride washed over me.

Yeah, that's my Lily for you.

"But, she has been reincarnated as character in that world."

Doesn't matter. The most important thing is that she is alive, although it will tough searching for her and even if I find her, she may not know me. Hmmm, that's really difficult.

"Don't worry, once you meet her, you will automatically know her and she will automatically know you, even if you are a different person."

"No problem. Now, for your powers that will help you. I will give you this." She said as she extended her hand and something dark flowed out from it and moved toward me, and before I ask what was that, it went inside me as if my body had sucked it.

I felt something refreshing wash over my body as I felt so comfortable and energetic than before.

What was that?

"You will figure it out once you get reincarnated. I also gave you some other small gifts for you. Hope you like it."

"You are welcome, now you may go. Staying here for much more time isn't good for you."

I wanted to say that I stayed here for who knows how much, but I kept my mouth shut.

"Hope you lead a happy life in this life."

I hope so as well.

Then suddenly, light engulfed me before I felt my vision brighten before I lost my consciousness.

I opened my eyes looking at unfamiliar ceiling, making me feel weird as to why I was here.

Then a sudden pain hit my head making me groan in pain before it quickly subsided making me sigh.

I now remember. I got reincarnated in the world of Highschool DXD.

But I didn't feel anything, not excitement nor joy like any normal fanfic protagonist would feel.

And who wouldn't, when he find himself in one of the worlds that had many beautiful and sexy heroins that you could make them fall in love with you and form a harem or seek to be the strongest being in the world or something.

But me, I felt nothing, as if I was devoid of any emotions.

What happened? I didn't use to be like this. This is different from me.

I wondered, and although I should panic but I only had a thoughtful expression devoid of any emotions.

Then suddenly, a package of information flowed in my head.

Yes, a package as it was related to my powers and the reason why I was like this.

And what a shocking news.

That being gave me the full power of Shadow Monarch with all of his shadows including Igris, Bellion, Beru, Tusk, Kaisel, Greed and many more.

There were more than million soldiers in my shadow that made me amazed, but still my heart didn't beat in excitement at all.

It was as if it was normal for me.

Although I didn't remember how many soldiers Sung Jin Woo had in his shadow when he was in his prime, but I don't care or rather it doesn't matter to me.

I can feel endless mana flowing inside my body and the black heart in my chest was pumping with mana and life inside nourishing my soul and body.

Looking at my shadow, I could see countless purple dots looking at me and I could feel their bottomless loyalty toward me.

It was like there were fanatics, or they are.

So now I was the Shadow Monarch itself. A rather unique being.

Beside that, there were other things that I assume they were the other gifts that that being granted me.

I had a full mastery over weapons and martial arts. Also all the things I learned in my past life came with me like Piano and cooking but more advanced.

Well, that was all.

Anyway, I got out of the bed and found that I was wearing a black shirt with black jeans that fit very well on my body.

There was a mirror in the room, so I went there to look at myself as I felt that there was something wrong with my appearance.

And it proved true as when I looked at myself in the mirror, I found a tall man standing at 190cm and had a jet black hair and grey eyes with sharp nose and sword like eyebrows along with long eyelashes and a carved jawline.

My body was so toned with muscles in all right places and my skin was soft and white due to the mana nourishing my body.

I was so damn handsome, although I originally had a brown hair and brown eyes and as I said before, I was handsome. But now I became more handsome than before.

However, all of that didn't made me excited or squeal in joy, all I did was to sigh before going to the bathroom to cool my mind.

There was a bathroom in the room, so I went there I took a bath.

Some time later, I came out of the bathroom with a tower on my head as I was drying my hair with it. After that I threw it on the bed before I decided to explore this place.

Soz getting out of the bedroom, I was met with a long wide corridor with some doors that led to other rooms, so I assumed that this floor contained only bedroom.

After that I walked to the end of the corridor on my right and found a stairs leading down to the first floor, so I walked down.

And upon reaching the first floor, I found the following: a kitchen, large bathroom, living room, dinning room (which was close to the kitchen), and other rooms like game room, massage room (which was connected to the bathroom so anyone can relax after a good warm shower).

That were all the rooms at the first floor.

Judging from how wide this place is I assume it's a mansion or a villa of some sort.

Although I didn't like luxurious places, but with me in a new world like that, and no job I only can accept it.

It's a gift after all and it won't be appropriate to refuse it.

Now what I do.

I wondered as I had nothing to do at this point or rather my mind was still in the process of adapting to this place so give it some time and it would good.

Suddenly, I remembered a time with my wife when we used to cook together and laugh when she try to cook something strange and turn to have a strange form and weird taste. She always pouted cutely when I laugh at her before she also laugh as well.

I felt warm in my heart remembering that time.

Seems I still can feel like a normal person after all.

Anyway, so with that memory in mind, I went to the kitchen and started to cook with a warm smile on my face.
