5 CHAPTER 05 Dungeon Dive part II

I was currently level 3. You could say I was at the bottom of the barrel.  But my level did not properly reflect my strength.  After all, my mp was already above 1000; and my strength is now 21 after putting in 3 Available stat points.

I can literally wipe this place with my 3 new skills alone but I want to experience the battle and get used to this feeling of always being in danger. And learn how to use my body the best way.

If you treated one level-up as being equivalent to one point of strength, I already had the strength of someone above level 15.  And when a level 1 character hunts with the strength of a level 15?

 It's called "power levelling"?'

The destructive power of my blows and the power I transferred when I threw something that surpassed all expectations was a testament to my progress.

'I've doubled the strength attribute, but I feel more than just two times stronger than before.'

My original strength stat was 10.  The difference between 10 strength and 20 strength was a factor of two, but my power felt much greater than that.

'Maybe…'

What if the value of my attributes became weighted as they increased? That would explain this destructive power.  On top of that, my movements had also become faster. Without counting the stat I put in my agility it was the old me, I could not imagine dodging the beast's fast attacks or making the wind howl when he made a throw.

"I suppose increasing my muscles would make me faster.

After all, now my mussels are stronger, my bones are lighter, and even then they are denser than before. My blood circulation is faster and the amount of mana/oxygen in my blood has also increased.

Plus now they are more flexible which doesn't make sense. How could a denser thing be flexible? It's a gamer logic that defies reality and its laws.

It seemed that increasing the strength stat increased both my 'strength' and 'speed'.  My battle with the Lycan was the proof.

But what about the agility stat? If not his mobility, what would it increase?

I know what agility stat it makes the way I  perceive the world much faster than others like I could see a fly's wings flapping. In most basic words agility makes everyone else seem slower to me and makes me look incredibly fast to everyone else. Intelligence gives me more mana, that's why I had so much mana as the system counted my intelligence rather than Jinwoo's 10 intelligence.

Constitution is what we call vitality or endurance and measures his stamina and Hp...

It's one of the most important stat after Hp Mp and strength. endurance isn't a stat that increases your strength or magic instead it reduces the speed at which you are tired from the respective tasks.

If you specify first, it's a stat that you feel noticeable effects while leveling so in a way it's very important if you want to last long in the battle of death or in the battle of beds.

But technically strength also increases my Hp that's why it's 200. After all, it's all about how much beating you could take, and with higher strength, you could take much more…

And the sense is just a sense which includes all twenty senses and a sixth sense that allows me to sense danger like Spiderman or captain marvel.

Which just allowed me to avoid the Lycan that was coming to bite my leg. It's a subconscious reaction.  It's still far from Spiderman's Spider-Sense but after putting in enough I am sure I can surpass him.

I thought as I waited for system notification to confirm my theory.

Ding!

[ CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE FIGURED OUT SECRETS BEHIND YOUR STATUS WINDOW ON YOUR OWN. YOUR INTELLIGENCE INCREASED BY 2 AND YOU GAINED 5 STAT POINTS.]

Great more free stat points... They aren't much but it had to do.  The system put 2 stat points into strength and put one into sense, one into agility, and the last one into Constitution.

Anyway, I had to make some balance as I can't go towards strength alone especially when I am a mage summoning is what makes me the greatest. So MP is most important so I have to make my own heart like a black heart and with me, two back hearts would make me nearly unstable.

I do have ways to increase my MP not just by only increasing my intelligence but also by absorbing mana from monster cores and I also have a few more ways. What I lack now are the resources to put those plans into motion.

By leveling up my most important thing was to gain Shadow Extraction as soon as possible and there is only one way to get it.

'Increase my level as fast as possible.'

As I mentioned before the governments have many monster corpses and even all of them are either elite or higher level.

And there is a whole market for monster corpses as they are used in many ways. For research position making and for different herbs.

And since every dungeon is unique  the monsters that appear in each dungeon are different,

And there is a whole darker side for this.  Like how black markets sell them illegally to some people who use them as experiments on human beats or trying to create awakens for the military.  Kind of like super soldiers.

Even alive monsters be sold there for the same purpose and even female monsters are sold for people who are into beastality in fact if you could look into darker shades of the world in red light areas you could find female elves and harpy to fuck.

As the saying goes, no matter how much the world can get screwed over, some people find ways to make a profit out of it.

And it's the same thing where most of the world fears monsters. There are some who sell them as sex workers even after knowing how dangerous they are.

There are scientists who are trying to create hybrids, there are government organizations who are trying to control beasts for the military or trying to create their own awakens for war.  There are scientists who call monsters the next stage of evolution or try modified monster genes.

Some cults worship monsters and cults who call monsters as god's punishment for humanity. And dungeon break is god's will! And anyone who resists them must die!

Well, some people know how to make money out of human misery, death, and destruction. But truth be told most of the black market is just made out of human misery.

And even a white medium corpse of a high-rank monster is profitable. It can be used as material for various tools.

Bones, leather, flesh, etc...

There isn't a single part to throw away from a high-rank monster corpse.

This world is filled with all kinds of fucked up people and what I mentioned is not even scratching the surface of the iceberg so big that you can't even see its end.

Anyway, I  knew there won't be any magic cores so I didn't bother to cut them open.  But I did collect the heads as I knew their teeth could be collected and sold to the shop.

And I was right as One of the Lycan's and Beowulf's teeth was sparkling with light.  When he reached out to it, a message appeared.

Would you like to acquire it?

"Acquire."

Lycan's Canine 3X Beowulf Canine 2X

Rarity: None

Type: Junk

A Lycan's large and sharp canine.

You may keep this item in your inventory.

You may sell this item in the shop.

Good.  Now let's sell them.

"Shop."

He half expected an NPC shopkeeper to pop up out of nowhere.  He was disappointed to find that the 'shop' just ended up being another information screen floating like a hologram.  As if that wasn't enough, the green letters on the screen displayed just two words.

Buy

Sell

"..."

I selected "Sell".

Would you like to sell the Lycan's canine and Beowulf Canin?

"Sure."

With the sound of coins dropping, my inventory opened up.  At the base of the inventory screen, the section that said "Gold" was now displaying 5090.

5090 gold.' So for 3 Lycan's canines, I got 60 gold and 30 coins I got for Beowulf Canin. I knew soon the wolves were coming so I walked towards the sword and with 7 points extra strength that I got I was able to pull the Coward out without much struggle.

I already picked the daggers while collecting the Lycan's Canine and soon I heard the sounds coming my way.

*Grrr* *Grrr* *Grrr*

*thud* *thud* *thud* *thud*

grrrrrrrrl

grrrrl

grrrrrrrl~

 *thud* *thud* *thud* *thud*

There were many more wolves!

My face bloomed into a smile.  At a glance, there were more than 20 Lycan and 30 Beowulf, which is enough to level up at least three times.

"Eureka!"

'Wait, that's not the word…. Whatever.'

What was certain was my happiness.  I squeezed the hilt of my sword.

"Thank you for the meal~"

At his greedy gaze, the Lycans and Beowulf

cowered and trembled.

I first threw the daggers and then leaped toward the beasts.

"Of course… Now bring it! I ain't dying for the third time that's for sure!" I yelled out as he charged in with my sword as two knives hit their target much faster than before and with more force and momentum.

Killing two in an instant as I was still using sprint I easily sliced one Lycan right in the middle who was in the air as he was leaping at me.

You've leveled up!

You've leveled up!

You've leveled up!

As expected, my level rose quickly.  Having run around the entire first floor looking for Lycans, and Beowulf my level had already increased to 8.  A rather large leap of 5 levels.

whimper-!

As I took down the last remaining Lycan, a  message appeared.

Ding~

You've obtained the title, "Wolf Slayer"

"Title? Great, let's see if it's similar to the story...

Wolf Slayer

All stats increased by 40% against beast type four legged monsters.

A title was given to a hunter experienced in slaying wolves.

"Garet, let's see the status,"  I said out loud.

-Weapon Enhance (Lv. 1)

-FireBall (Lv. 1)

A stat boost against beast-type monsters.  Although the effect was limited against certain types, with 4 legs 40% boost was nothing to scoff at.

'There's a lot of beast-type magic beasts out there, wonder if it works against them?'

It took more time than I thought to kill all the 50 beasts, even being forced to use a fireball two times when I felt I was getting overwhelmed. But the firepower of a fireball is nothing to scoff at. After all, it took down 5 beats alone and burned them to a crisp. And it's shocking at only one level.

Skill- FireBall.

A bright streak flashes from your pointing finger to a point you choose within range and then blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame. A ball of more turns an explosion of flames upon contact.

The fire spreads around corners. It ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.

Fia ball filled with combustibles or explosives fired at an enemy or enemy fortifications.]

Of course, with the fireball, I also lost the loot that could have gotten from those beasts. Which is why I didn't just spam this spell.

Still, the loot so far was rather disappointing.

61 canines, two rusty daggers, an adventurer's clothes, and a return stone.'

Every once in a while, a wolf's belly would contain items.  However, most were not particularly useful. The rusty daggers had lower attack power compared to his steel sword, and the adventurer's clothes ended up being junk items that I could not use.  After selling all the junk I had picked up, Jinwoo had earned about a thousand and two hundred gold.

Current Gold: 6290

It's a little low if I count the time it took. all this it took 3 hours of fighting until I came across stairs descending to the basement with a malevolent aura but the entire area was quiet and not a single monster was in sight.

I looked at my daggers which were covered in cracks and blood but the sword didn't look as bad as the daggers. while most of his body was covered in wounds in return, I leveled up more than 5 times already as I noticed those orange-named monsters became white as I killed them easier.

Ignoring the gold, the only other item that he had now was the return stone.  He recalled the invisible barrier that stopped him no matter how much force was applied.  The System had told him he required one of these to exit. So, now he knew he was able to leave.

Ahead were the stairs descending to basement level 2.

Of course, I  didn't have any thought of retreat… After all, I have not even lost 20% of my hp and it's already regenerating faster than before because my vitality was higher than before.

If it was my old self, I would've run away without a second thought.  After all, it was the only way he survived. But not now when I have all these miraculous abilities.

"I'm sick of running away. Just like og Jin Woo.

It was about time he faced danger head on like I am done since I entered into this place.  I put the return stone back in inventory.

As I took out a sandwich and started to eat as it will help my hp regain and also laser my fatigue.
