209 CH 190: Grind Grind And more Grind

Creating earthquakes with a single stomp or even a little impact yay? Do I want to create earthquakes with a single step? Kinda, imagine what could I do with this and it sounds like fun, and pretty cool it could be used for some dramatic entrance or in just an introduction mostly for fun.

Moving on to the new loot I got, I haven't even used the system to observe it yet, focusing on grinding my level instead. Pulling the inventory where I keep my loot. 7 More Ingots, 2 Feathers, and a Robe. Starting with the Ingots reveals pretty much what I was expecting.

[Item: Robe's of Michael]

[Item Rank: SS]

[Description: Robe's worn by holiest of Holy Angels, one of the seven Seraphims highest rank angels, head of all of the angels. And the Son of God."]

[Effects:

Grants all units under its wearer a 25% holy damage reduction

Grants all units under its wearer a 25% holy damage boost]

They are amazing of course, but item description just seems to tell many titles and names for Michael.

There's only one problem. They look so... edgy. Not the dark and brute type edgy no it's like too much holy.

The Robes are plain withite with a golden trim on the arms and collar, which is fine if you ignore the giant pair of huge wings on the front and back, it looks so fucking dumb. But it's amazing.

The Robes could have gone into my inventory, I could have only worn them in Dungeons but never where people can see me.

It's so dumb…

But thankfully my system's equip function worked like I was in the game and I won't have to wear them in reality as I would have looked like some type of cultist while wearing them.

Putting everything away and quickly equip the Robe's as they disappeared from my inventory and appeared on my status sheet and I felt its effects I made my way out.

As the grind never stops.

Sending my legion forwards they shred any Affinity's or any angle that came in my way in record time, but really with a horde of SS-Rank strong what chance did the 25 angels have? The big bastards did equally little as they were overwhelmed by the swords and arrows and wires and punches…

And I am yet to bring even one percent of my army. My army is wonderful, and powerful. I really am on the path to becoming the Lich God, now all I need is a cursed sword and a few million more shadow soldiers. I can always use more summons.

Half an hour had elapsed since my venture into the labyrinthine depths of the dungeon, and within that span, I had adeptly acquired the abundance of information I sought.

"Let's expedite our progress," I proclaimed, invoking my big guns summoning of my colossal arsenal, a legion of undying warriors enveloping me.

"March forth, obliterate every adversary, amass the fallen, and meticulously scour for chests that materialize post each triumphant encounter with a boss," I instructed. Swiftly, my undead army dispersed, their actions resonating with a cascade of system notifications, affirming the demise of foes and the accrual of valuable experience.

While my army was grinding I took out a beef burger and started munching on it. It tasted nice but something I always wonder how Emiya's or even Soma's food tastes like or how the Wine created by God of wine be like.

I could have only taken a few bites of my burger before I heard the very familiar system notification again. This one was different from all others that I was getting.

Ding!

[You've slain the Gravitas (Mini Boss)]

***

And just within two minutes of sanding my army they were done, they had killed the mobs, the 2 bosses and waves that came after killing them and the bosses of these two waves.

Which might I degrees could be a world record so in just two minutes I got both keys, four chests and a substantial heap of vanquished foes, and the remarkable achievement of leveling up from 125 to 126—an accomplishment that could potentially claim a world record.

As I marveled at the diligent efforts of my army, it was time I also gave it a try. Following the gratifying last bite of my burger, I smoothly retrieved a Coca Zero, downing it in one gulp and deftly turning the can into a mere remnant of its former self. Without wasting another second, I reached into my inventory, unveiling the normal ass Katana that would soon unleash chaos. The moment had come to channel my inner Vergil.

A cascade of spells – [Enhance], [Penetrate], [Sharpen], [Weapon Enhance] – enveloped my Katana, infusing it with a dazzling brilliance. Yet, the enchantments didn't cease there; with a deliberate purpose, I invoked [Sprint], [Haste], [Flash Step].

The air vibrated with a subtle *Ting.* In the blink of an eye, I vanished from sight, only to reappear within a mere two seconds before the main gate, adorned with three enigmatic keyholes. With a flourish reminiscent of Vergil, I sheathed my Katana in a masterful motion, taking a moment to catch my breath and survey the scene.

The unusual angelic dragon stood sentinel, flanked by higher-rank Affinities and a myriad of celestial beings hovering above the pathways. Their aggro triggered, heralding the imminent onset of combat…

Another resonant

*Ding~.*

[You've leveled up!]

"THUD!! THUD!! THUD!! Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam. THUD! BOOM!

*Swiiiick!!*

Their fate was sealed before comprehension dawned. Flying enemies descended like a storm, their demise swift and varied – some cleaved into pieces, others with necks cleanly severed, and a few horizontally or vertically sliced. Meanwhile, the angelic dragon's body, curiously untouched, oddly unscathed, succumbed to a hung limp, as its life force was drained as its eyes lost the life in them.

It was a torrential downpour, a visceral symphony of guts and blood. Angels met their end in such rapid succession that they never grasped the reality of their demise, denied even the opportunity to transition to a second phase. Amidst the chaos, I stood as an unscathed boss, not a solitary drop of blood besmirching my presence.

When I can swing my sword that fast, it makes killing, mowing lawns, or chopping meat for cooking, or even giving haircuts, seem easy.

Speed was really like a drug. To see the time in a bottle is something else. The one who controls time indeed controls everything.

"Arise" I command while looking at the body of the angelic dragon.

But just as I expected nothing happened as the same message as before popped up in front of me.

[Soul has been lost from the body]

[This Mana is too pure.]

[It's impossible to perform shadow extraction.]

Just as I suspected I won't be getting a dragon that easily I suppose.

Despite lingering hope, the angelic dragon, a creature of formidable nature, presented an intriguing challenge. Reflecting on my prior success with converting a demon from hell into a shadow soldier, courtesy of Demon Castle Cerberus, a glimmer of optimism flickered. In the grand scheme, the dragon, despite its celestial essence, might harbor untapped potential.

Contemplating the possibilities, I acknowledged the intrinsic value of its eyes while pragmatically recognizing the broader utility lying within the dragon's anatomy. Intent on resourceful utilization, I resolved to salvage the dragon's heart, blood, and select chunks of meat, reserving the remains as a strategic sustenance supply for Beru.

Envisioning a symbiotic enhancement, I speculated that Beru, consuming the dragon's essence, could not only devour its corporeal form but also extract maximum benefits. The potential outcomes danced in my thoughts – heightened resistance to holy forces, an augmentation of healing magic proficiency, and perhaps the acquisition of holy attacks and holy elemental prowess. Such enhancements, coupled with an overall boost in stats, painted a promising prospect of turning adversity into a source of unparalleled strength for my future army just like most of the angelic corpses I am collecting as I can't use [Drain Life] on them anyways.

Looking around I can see a big chest has appeared in front of the gate, my reward for getting this far? I find, Moving to the centre of the clearing I find a chest, I have to push past the corpses to get to it but eventually I reach it.

Opening it up. Let's see, 5 feathers, 9 Iron Ingots, and a huge Fang. I was hoping for some more equipment, or something to make me more durable but this'll do.

I knew the first two, but the fang was something new. Here I am hoping the Fang is something interesting.

[Fang of the Red Dragon

Rank: S

*Type: Dragon Fang*

**Attributes:**

- *Source:* Obtained from the great red dragon in, who was adorned with seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

- *Crafting Options:* Can be fashioned into a powerful weapon or an enchanting accessory.

**Enchantments:**

- *Barrier Negation:* Possesses the unique ability to shatter mystical wards and shields, making it effective against magical defenses.]

The tooth is utterly fascinating, captivating in its essence, yet, regrettably, akin to numerous enigmatic artifacts within this Dungeon, its utility remains elusive to me. Identifying the Great Red Dragon alluded to in the description as a biblical entity, not forged of Divine Iron, opens up possibilities. I contemplate the prospect of crafting it into a Knife or a pair of Knuckles for a dual-handed mastery. However, the challenge lies in locating a blacksmith skilled enough to manipulate a tooth from a biblical dragon. The intricate nature of this endeavor is compounded by the scarcity of artisans versed in such ancient and divine materials. Fortunately, the silver lining lies in the fact that this task doesn't necessitate the blacksmith to possess divinity unlike Divine Iron, easing the search for a craftsman with the requisite expertise.

Sighing, I stowed away all things I got into my inventory, preparing to enter the mysterious place. As I focused, three distinctive keys materialized, each obtained from a different path.

*'Click.'* The keys effortlessly found their matching locks, and with another resonant click, the gate began to open autonomously. Stepping back, I observed with curiosity, eager to unveil the secrets concealed within.

Not bad, considering It's been around 83 hours since I opened the doors of Heaven. Yes it looks like the dungeon was modelled after Heaven that existed in a few religions and beliefs.

It's unlike being a vast empty land or a tower where go higher with more progression it's between the two. The dungeon is modelled after religious or mythological cosmology, the seven heavens refer to seven levels or divisions of the Heavens.

And this place is like that. Currently I am in the fourth layer. It's not separated by floors but gby ates just like in the start each layer is separated by huge gates that require keys to unlock!.

But unlike in the beginning there aren't any different paths, it's all just a vast empty land filled with various mobs. Each layer looks and works like how it's described in some of the books like second heaven entirely made of water like substance, the walls the gates the building the floor or even the sky everything is made see through made of water like substance.

Or Third Heaven where I found something that resembles the Garden of Eden and Tree of life of course they were nothing else besides being copies or the current layer I am in Fourth Heaven where the Golden City is according to many books.

But sadly it was also fake as it turns out there was nothing that could be gold in the city. It's all just paint but whoever designed this place thought of everything. So sadly there is no gold or silver in this heaven.

It's a place full of life that would be fine if this were set in a video game like I'm crowd or Alf I'm rather than a complex simulated world. These are supposed to be places where thinking creatures sleep and eat and go about their days.

So yes in each place filled with things used in daily life of these stupid monster even they all feel like well gimmicky boss arenas and a dungeon crawler so it has cracked the code and managed to create a believable impression that you're watching someone else play a halfway-decent video game in the one place where it shouldn't do

After all nearly all the mobs I have encountered behave like they were in Souls game the same generic predictable pattern oncs you get used to it.

This dungeon one of that hack and slash dungeon that are focused on the tedious grind the same mobs just slightly stronger with unique bosses that very rare and very few in between long grinds it's like whole Diablo III or Dota 2 game in a single dungeon made of seven layers.

It's like it's made to increase the same repetitive grind and design to mexious the consumption of time they could if it wasn't real life and I was gaining EXP it could have been worst JRPG game out there. Without all those predatory practices.

Like I hardly encountered any good boss in the last four layers any and the mobs were just the usual ones just getting slightly stronger on each layer.

I have fought the same Affinity's, Dears, Angel of Paradisos, Asperatus, Auditios, Grace and Glorys, First Spheres, Infernos. And lastly the strongest bosses Halfling, and Shining Justice.

The same cheap-ass Bayonetta mobs and boss monsters but at least I got some cool equipment and things from chests I got after cearling each area.

Like I did now have 4356 Feathers of the Fallen, 6794 Divine Iron Ingots. But an even more interesting thing was.

[Forge Document] (Active)

200 MP to use

And most importantly I got theses.

I thought while looking at two gold coins 🪙 I got from chasts i got from halfling, and shining justice the strongest bosses i faced in this dungeon. Each coin had a different symbol: supernatural (monster) has a gate while supernatural (fantasy) has a humanoid who holds a log.

[Token Summon Supernatural (Monster)] (Active)

Summon a monster to fight for you.

[Token Summon Supernatural (Fantasy)] (Active)

Summon a fantasy creature to fight for you.

Monsters and Fantasy are fun (even if they could probably have been put into one skill), and I got one of each to start with. For Monster I got it's name is Number 26: Octobypass the Dimensional Pathway, a Unique summon that can only be summoned once in 61 days to, it's a pretty long cool down So it should do something great for it to require this long of a cool down.

Well it can open Dimensional Gates allowing me to travel to places I haven't been before, it's not very good at fighting, but it's certainly powerful none the less.

For Fantasy I got Gigantes, a red skinned Giant, who beats people with a log no magic required.

I'll summon them later, but I should deal with the Quest first.

Observing Tusk and his team A in the aftermath of their battle, Orcs wearily retiring and dragging peculiar Bayonetta mob bodies, I noticed that the storage rings I had provided were already brimming, necessitating the unconventional method of transportation.

As they reached me, the team diligently arranged the collected loot, forming a substantial pile of corpses. Gazing at the 50-strong army of High Orcs, I noted their attainment of maximum levels for their respective Ranks, anticipating their imminent promotion.

"Great work, everybody," I commended, directing my attention to Tusk. "Tusk, you and your Orc buddies have excelled. Soon, promotion awaits you all." As he knelt down, a radiant smile illuminated his face, reflecting the triumph of their endeavors.

I took out the 'Bead of Avarice' from his Inventory and placed it on top of 'Tusk' palm.

"You use this from now on."

Even though I am a Mage-type as well, the amplification effect of the 'Bead of Avarice' was not something I wanted. But, I thought it'd prove to be quite helpful to a sorcerer like Tusk. And if I ever needed to, I can always ask Tusk. It's better in his hands rather than just laying in my inventory collecting dust.

'....'

As if to express his gratitude, Tusk and his Team deeply bowed his heads.

Thump, thump, thump!!!

Finally, I could see the huge bodies of the two strongest soldiers Guardian and Typhoon getting closer.

And they were not the only ones who were getting close as with the presence of so many living things and I am taking longer than expected time Waves started to spawn in.

Okay, time to get started.'

After ordering my soldiers to get ready for battle, I grasped both 'Baruka's Dagger' and 'Knight Killer' in my hands as now it was time for some stretching.

Soon, weird Angels rushed forward like a horde of insects in front of his nose. However, his own numbers weren't that lacking, either. As more and more soldiers were returning back.

With a more relaxed expression on my face compared to my previous sojourn in this place, I bid my time and then, loudly shouted out.

"Go….!"

No, actually, I was planning to shout, 'Go, now!'

But, even before I could finish my words…. Huge spells were casted upon them and upon Tusk.

"Hymn of Combustion, Hymn of Strengthening, Hymn of Frenzy, Hymn of Giants and lastly Hymn of the Fire Dragon"

"Kuuuuuoooooooohhh—!!"

From somewhere high up above my head, a stupendously thick frightening pillar of super hot flames fell in a diagonal line and swept every single enemy away.

"Nice!"

"Kuuuuuoooohhh!!"

The moment that scary pillar of red hot flames swept by, everything had melted down, whether that be weird Angels or the ground itself or even the Chest that appeared just after their deaths was scorched.

"Kiiiieeehhckk!!"

"Kiieeck!!"

Angels were incinerated in an instant, and familiar mechanical beeps rang one after the other in my ears.

[You have slain A Dear]

[You have slain A Homunculi]

[You have slain A Inferno]

'Great…..'

I tried to calm my trembling heart and took a look behind me. And I spotted Tusk standing there, now twice the size of what his living counterpart grew back in the dungeon, busy breathing out grey smoke from his mouth.

Yes.

I swallowed down dry saliva.

'This is the true might of the 'Bead of Avarice'??'

Since these monsters lived inside the Angel's Layer, they all must've had some amount of innate resistance towards flame-based attacks, but they were all burned away into oblivion, just like that.

"Huh, huhuhuh…."

Once I was sure it's good that Tusk was holding 'Bead of Avarice', a chuckle broke out of my lips all by itself.

'Wait, maybe I'll get to clear this place a lot quicker than I thought?' Three more Lairs and I will be done.

I stared at the still-burning remains of the Angels as well as at the scorched-black earth and screamed out in joy inwardly.
