43 Chapter 43: It's Okay To Cry

"My liege, the expansion of the castle is going smoothly and will be complete by the end of this week," Mio reported.

I nodded in satisfaction, "Good. How about the other projects?" I asked.

"The terrain for the sub-islands of the castle has been created, but the building will still take a few months before it's complete," She said with a hint of disappointment in herself.

"There is no need to rush Mio. You and the rest of the Shadow Generals are doing a good job." In the past months, I found out that Mio, Seris, Luna, and Ari, or as I call them, the Shadow Generals, can name the shadows under them.

But even when they name them, the magicules come from me because they don't have their own and use mine. It's like a chain of hierarchy. So while everyone obeys me, the shadows named by one of them will only take orders from me, and the general named them.

Unlike the generals, they also evolve and gain a humanoid look but are still shadows and can't disguise themselves with a humanoid appearance.

But back to the new island projects. I wanted to create a specific training area for the shadow generals to train their soldiers. They will be rotating around the castle, but the best part about making everything float in the air is that it can easily be moved around in the future.

So if I decide to name a new general, only a new island will be made, and the other will be moved around a bit.

"My liege, the Demon Lord Dino, is currently outside the castle. How should we deal with him?" Seris, who came out of Mio's shadow, asked. The shadow generals can teleport to my and the other general's shadows, similar to how I used all the shadows as teleportation points.

After my evolution to a True Demon Lord and evolving my Unique skill into an Ultimate one, I can now travel anywhere I want as long there is a shadow there. But I still use the shadows as anchors at times.

Dino? I thought Milim would be the first Demon Lord to visit me, not Dino, "Let him in." I said, knowing he would probably be one of the Demon Lords that wouldn't cause any problems or damage here.

"I will bring him here then." She bowed and disappeared into the shadow again shortly after returning with Dino.

He yawed," Wow, this," he yawned again, "is a weird," another yawn, "ability." He said.

"You get used to it after a while, but is there something I can do for you?" I asked, curious why he would come here.

He yawned again, "I lost my pillow..."

"..." I just looked at him dumbfounded. He came here because he had lost a pillow.

"Seriously?" I asked

"Yes, could I get another one?" He asked with another yawn.

I held myself from facepalming and brought another pillow from my inventory or dimensional storage. I'm not sure what it is now after my skill has evolved.

"Here." I gave it to him, and I think I saw stars in his tired eyes.

"I knew you were a good person." He said before turning back to leave but stopped, "Now that I'm here could I stay and rest here for a while?" He asked.

"Sure..." I turned to Seris, "Show him to a guest room."

"Of course, my liege."

What next Milim will arrive?

"My liege Mili..." Luca, who appeared out of my shadow, tried to say, but I interrupted him before he could finish.

"Stop!" Why is my luck so bad today? "Please don't say that Milim is heading here..."

"But she is my liege..." He said awkwardly.

Of course, she is... If they weren't here with me, I would cry for my poor luck. Did I somehow become a lancer or Emiya?

I sighed, "I will wait outside for her." I said and started walking out, "She will go towards the strongest person, so if I'm outside, there won't be anything important she could destroy." I looked at them. "Mio, you can continue with the construction. Luca, you will come with me."

"Of course, my liege." They both answered.

There could be two reasons for which Milim came here: The first was that she just wanted to see the floating castle, and the second was that she wanted to fight.

About twenty minutes later, a pink missile slammed into the ground, and I was happy I went outside.

"I am here! HAHAHA!" She laughed, and I think that wasn't her line.

"Milim, why are you here?" I asked with an annoyed smile.

"Oh, I wanted to see your castle!" She said excitedly.

I rubbed my forehead and sighed, "Fine, let's go but don't break any doors..." I then grabbed her, and shadow exchanged into the castle.

"Woah! That's so cool." She yelled with stars in her eyes, "Do it again!"

I sweatdropped seeing her reaction. If I didn't know her power, I would think she was just a kid that had too many sweets, "Milim, can you answer me truthfully... Are you bored?" I asked.

She looked shocked before scratching the back of her head and chuckling, "Emm... Maybe."

Of course, she is, "How about reading a book?"

"A book?" She asked, "Does it taste good?"

I smiled, but my eyes twitched slightly, "No, you don't eat books."

"Ohhh... Then why would you need books..." She grumbled before looking around for something, "Wait, why is Dino here?"

I sighed for the hundredth time today, "He lost his pillow and came here for a new one." I answered and hoped no other Demon Lord would come here.

"Cale! Milim!" A squeaky female voice came, and a small something started flying around us.

Why. A single tear escaped while I tried to keep my aura in check.

Did my castle somehow become a new meeting place for all Demon Lords? I wanted to lock myself in a dark room and cry. Who's going to pop up next? Guy?

"Oh, Cale, about the new dungeon, it's almost ready!"

At least something good happened today...
