The Suicide Attempt

"Lucy!" "Lucy stop!" "please stop Lucy," Lucy's mum yelled running after her as Lucy ran towards her mum's car. "No mum, leave me alone!" Lucy yelled sobbing. Lucy ran towards the side of the dark green car and slammed the door open. she pulled out the car keys from her pocket, slammed the door shut, and started the car. she speedily drove the car onto the narrow road between the deep dark woods.

Lucy lived with her mum in a small house in the woods. Her life was disturbed, her father had recently died and Lucy was going through a trauma. Lucy and her mum had to move from the city, Lucy had to leave her high school and all her friends. Lucy hated CHANGE. Lucy's mum was in desperate need of a job.

when Lucy's mum finally managed to reach the road, Lucy had already driven away. Lucy's mum had to go after her. Lucy's mum grabbed Lucy's neon orange bicycle and went after her.

Lucy drove the old, green rusty car as one would drive on the highway. But Lucy was not on the highway, she was on a narrow road between the woods. "I'm sick of this depressing life", Lucy yelled sobbing. "I hate this world!" she screamed and forcefully turned the steering wheel clockwise. The car drifted and went off the road. "CRASH!!" the car slammed right into a pine tree. Pine corns rained onto the windshield.

"Lucy!" Mrs. James screamed from far away on the bicycle. She was still paddling, trying to catch up with the car. Lucy's mum finally managed to reach the car after minutes of paddling. Lucy's mum ran up to the car in tears. she opened the car door with a thud. What she saw in front of her was breathtaking. Lucy was covered in scratches and bruises. worse of all, she was covered in blood. Lucy had hit her head on the steering wheel. "Lucy, LUCY" Mrs. James sobbed as she managed to pull out Lucy from the driver's seat.

Lucy's mum sat beneath the pine tree with Lucy in her blood-covered hands. blood dripping down Lucy's forehead. "don't leave me Lucy" Lucy's mum yelled "wake up", but Lucy didn't reply.

Mrs. James took out her mobile phone and dialed 911 with her shaky, blood-covered fingers. "Hello, hello!!" she yelled sobbing when the call connected. "911, what is your emergency," she heard from the other end. "help, my daughter smashed the car into a tree, help!" she yelled sobbing. "maam don't panic, we will send help right away, please tell me your location." the dispatcher said. Lucy's mum told the dispatcher all the detail she needed. "Help is on its way," the dispatcher said and cut the line.

Lucy was barely conscious, fighting to keep her eyes open. she had lost a lot of blood. Lucy caught glimpses of her mum crying. she could hear her voice saying, "Lucy, wake up" Lucy couldn't keep her eyes open much longer. Lucy's eyes started closing, the image of her mum starting blurring out, the voices disappeared. Lucy's sight was blurred out, she could still see a blurry figure of her mum sobbing but she saw something else, she saw a person standing behind her. the person did not exactly look like a person, but like a shadow. Lucy could only make out the shape of the blurry image. the person was a grown man, he was wearing a long coat and a hat. Lucy could not identify any more of his features because she was no longer conscious. Lucy was now sleeping, she had forgotten her troubles, she lay there in her mum's lap, unconscious, unaware of what was ahead of her...
