Dire Wolf Pack (2)

Right at this point in time, five dark shadows charged forward on the back of their stallians, each wielding a huge sword the size of a man, which slashed through the air as they charged towards the direwolf pack.

"It's the black-robed Knights! They're attacking!", Evangeline shouted.

These direwolves possess terrifyingly high physical attributes.

However, knights possess the ability to use weapons and use formations.

Furthermore, the Knights should have secret skills which can greatly raise their potential and allow them to burst forth with greater power when necessary. Any of the black robed knights could easily take on three dire wolves on his own at a time.

The problem lied in the huge gap in numbers.

George had a worried look on his face as he looked at the 348 red dots encircling them. "Previously, even with just nearly a hundred direwolves, they managed to get to the horse carriages, and even damage some of the carriages...I am afraid we won't be able to avoid battle today"

*Psh*

One of the black-robed Knights waved his immense blade, weaving a bright silver light in the air as he cleaved a direwolf right into two!

"Heh heh!" The Knight licked the blood from his lips, looking extremely ferocious: "Come on, you little dogs!"

"Thank...Thank you, Sir!" The young girl who was saved kept thanking him repeatedly, the tears still on her cheeks. This was the girl who had been calling out for her mother earlier.

"Are you an idiot? Get back to your carriage now" The Knight's head did not even turn as he charged forth towards the direwolves.

Only then did the little girl seem to reawaken to the reality of the situation, and ran back to the horse carriage.

Fortunately, she wasn't from the [Furze Alliance], or else George would have reprimanded her. The members of his alliance were much more serious, and they all stood in their respective positions.

"Hurry! Arrange the horse carriages in a circle to use as a defensive formation, the girls should stay behind while the boys, take up your swords and set up a defensive perimeter!", Knight Angelo shouted

However, he quickly stopped speaking and charged forward upon seeing the [Furze Alliance] already in position, led by George who had already unsheathed his sword without trembling.

"It's time to fight for our lives!" George grasped the cross blade in his hands and muttered to his companions

His war cry seemed to have awoken the fighting spirit of his companions, as they prepared themselves for the impact.

The black-robed knights had charged towards an incoming wave of dire wolves, but some had managed to slip through their charge.

George clearly identified six dire wolves.

The three boys behind him aimed and shot iron bolts with their crossbows. Although some missed the mark, by the time the dire wolves arrived at the position, two had already fallen.

George shouted: "PUSH FORWARD!"

Moving forward, he used his favourite knight killing technique [Lion Beheading], which cut through the strongest dire wolf's neck. With the head of this terrifying beast flying in the air, the rest of the [Furze Alliance] was filled with courage and moved forward. Evangeline shot forward and pierced the eye of a dire wolf and started to unleash a flurry of attacks.

The rest of the preparatory knights fought too.

George quickly supported his companions and killed one more direwolf with a thrust.

At this point, the 6 dire wolves were corpses.

However, it was far from being finished.

He could now see 9 more dire wolves charging at high speed.

"Those who are tired or injured, retreat. Second line, advance!", George shouted.

Seeing that George showed no signs of retreating, Evangeline asked: "What about you? You must conserve your strength to lead us!"

George shook his head: "They won't fight if I retreat...Don't worry about me, and continue to fight"

With Knight Hugo entering the battlefield, George felt a bit reassured.

The battle had just begun, and he was already out of breath.

However, his blood was boiling, to the point that he felt excitement...

Unknown to him, a strange energy was awakening inside him.
