Chapter 38

Beacon Hills High School boys locker room,Scott and Stiles have finally made it to the locker room, where Stiles pushes him through the door while saying"Come on, here we go."

Scott falls to his knees next to one of the sinks, and Stiles follows him and Stiles added"Sit down. You okay?"

Stiles moves to crouch down in front of Scott to look him in the eyes and questioned"Scott, you okay?"

Scott, now completely overwhelmed, finally looks up and screams at the top of his lungs in a desperate panic, his eyes bright gold"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

The shock from Scott's roaring voice causes Stiles to fall back onto his heels, and he eventually is forced to crawl backwards away from Scott as the Werewolf starts stalking him. Stiles manages to get to his feet and flings himself back behind a row of lockers, only for Scott to easily leap on top of them in a single bound.

Scott looks down at Stiles from the top of the lockers, and his vision is tinted red from the rage that triggered his transformation in the first place. He visually tracks Stiles as the young human man once again falls back onto his butt and is quickly forced to push himself back up onto his feet as he turns the corner, not taking his eyes off of Scott as the Werewolf crawls to the end of the row of lockers

He then pulls himself up onto the heating vents up around the top of the ceiling and uses them to crawl around and track Stiles.

While Stiles stumbles on Alexander and recognized him.While Scott has jumped back down onto the floor and was ready to attack Alexander,who caught Scott's wrist, turned his arm, and thrust a palm into the center of Scott's chest. Something happened as Scott felt a wrenching sense of dislocation and was throw back knocking him out.

Stiles was still in fear,but a part of him worried about his friend asked"Is he alive?"

Alexander nodded and replied"He is just knocked out."

Stiles gulping in fear muttered"He tried to kill me."

Alexander sighed and said"We warned him about this,but your idiot friend didn't listen."

While Stiles retorted"He didn't want any of this.It's your friend Derek that bit him."

Alexander groaned and said"Derek can't turn him,since he is a beta and only Alpha werewolves can turn humans.Also,your friend is lying when he talks about not wanting these powers."

This was news to Stiles,while Alexander added"The wolf can be easily triggered by intense emotions such as anger, fear, stress, or any other sensation that increases the heart rate, which, especially for newly bitten Werewolves, puts them at risk of losing control and can result in harm to innocent civilians.Your friend pretty much endangered his whole family because of his need to be popular."

Stiles knew it was true Scott was letting these powers and getting popular get the best of him.

Inside the locker room Scott woke up dazed from being knocked out and sits down on one of the benches and noticed Alexander calling out in a quiet voice"Where is Stiles?"

Stiles relaxes somewhat but wills himself not to run in until he knows what he's getting himself into. He slowly peeks his head from Alexander's shoulders and sees Scott, covered in sweat and squinting at him on the bench

Scott weakly questioned"What happened?"

Stiles sighs deeply as he comes out and starts to take off his gloves, which he forcefully throws onto the floor to emphasize his seriousness about the situation and said"You tried to kill me."

Scott sighs and looks guilty as Stiles walks over to him and crouches in front of him so he can look him in the eyes. His expression is grim as he reminds Scott of what he had researched last weekend and added"It's like I told you before-- it's the anger, it's your pulse rising. It's a trigger."

Scott huffs a quiet, exhausted laugh and replied"But that's lacrosse. It's a pretty violent game, if you hadn't noticed..."

Alexnader cut in"Are you a fool ot somthing risking everything for game and popularity,some of these hunters will use your family to get to you.If you can't get that into your think skull go and do it."

While walking away,Stiles' voice is firm makes it clear to Scott that this is a problem they need to deal with and take seriously"What Alexander says is truw, it's gonna be a lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field."

Stiles sighs deeply and looks Scott in the eyes, while Stiles addedYou can't play Saturday. You're gonna have to get out of the game."

Scott immediately tries to protest against this, but Stiles cuts him off and stops.
