92 [Chapter 92] A Day With Winter Pt 2

I watch as Winter is finishing up the delicious looking lunch as I smell the delicious aroma float around my nose. 'This is going to taste good.' I think as I look at the ramen being cooked before my very eyes. She sees me ogling at her dish and smiles at me.

I suddenly see her turn off the stove and grab a large spoon from the inside of a drawer before grabbing 2 bowls and pouring the contents of the soup into the bowls and handing me one with a smile, "It's done, be careful though, it's very hot."

I smile as she warns me. 'I can breath fire yet she still feels the need to warn me that it's hot. How considerate.' I think with a smile as I grab the bowl before suddenly saying, "Oh shit!" And quickly form scales on my hands. She giggles as she looks at me, holding her bowl with two humanoid paws. "Told you it was hot."

'She wasn't kidding, about burned my hands off.' I think as I set the bowl on the table and sit down, just to feel a soft sensation on my neck as I suddenly am hugged from behind, a pair of silver fur covered hands holding me in a warm embrace. "Thanks.....for everything." She says as she kisses me on the cheek with a smile. "I should thank you, if I hadn't met you in the cube, I probably wouldn't of made it this far. So I should be thanking you." I say as I look up at her pretty face and smile. She blushes at my gleaming grin and lets go of me, the squishy sensation on my neck disappearing.

'I have had the forbidden neck pillow, I thank whatever you were for reincarnating me here.' I think as I see Winter grab her bowl from the counter with her furry paws and sit down. I then watch as the silver fur recedes into the skin, showing her bare hands yet again.

I look down and begin to eat, at first slowly, making sure to not burn my throat into oblivion, but as it begins to cool down, I begin to eat faster as the bowl is filled with flavor. I look over at Winter and wave at the bowl in awe, "It's.....it's amazing!" I then giggle as I say, "You will be a great wife one day." I smile inwardly at the thought of a grown up Winter cooking a meal for her husband one day, being all cheerful.

She blushes as I say wife and shoves me slightly, "Lies, don't say such things, now hurry up so we can continue watching the show." I look over and see how her bowl is already empty. 'Woah, that's impressive.' However, if Kurayami could hear what Winter was thinking in her head, a few bells would probably go off.

'Don't worry Kurayami, you will be my husband as you are the only man that I have eyes for.' Winters tail begins to wag as she thinks of many things while patiently waiting.

As I finish eating, I glance over every so often just to see Winter smiling at me, gazing at me with an unknown look in her eyes. After I finish, I set my dish in the sink and rinse it out before beginning to wash it. I see Winter beside me, looking at what I am doing before waving.

"There's no need to do that, I'll do it after you leave." But I quickly shake my head, "No, I should, it's only common courtesy since I used it." And in a flash, I finished and have it set on the rack as I dry off my hands. I turn around to see Winter staring at me, I wave at the sink, "Do as you please." And walk back to the couch and sit down, calmly waiting for Winter to sit back down so we can continue to watch anime.

After a little bit of time, I see Winter walking back to the couch and she sits down beside me, cuddling close before going to grab the remote. "Wait." I say as she goes to grab the remote. She stops and looks at me, her curiosity peaked. I wave my hand and an item wrapped in black and white paper about the size of a suitcase appears in my hands, I set it on the table as I wave at it, "This is for you."

As Winter sees the gift, she smiles at me as she sits up and begins opening it. Her eyes light up as she rips open the paper, just to see a folded scythe. She pulls the scythe out of the remains of the paper to take a better look, it's black with white lines running up the handle, all joining at the glowing white blade, but on the blade lies a symbol, a black dragon and a white wolf in a ying and yang symbol.

Her mouth hangs agape as she stares at the scythe in awe and stars appear in her eyes as she sees the symbol on the blade.

She sets it on the table and kisses me on the lips as she pulls me into a tight embrace, I am caught off guard by the sudden move as her soft lips touch mine. After a few seconds she pulls away and blushes as she rests her head on my chest and the rest of her body on mine.

My body was able to comprehend what happened as it blushes as soon as she pulled away, however my brain could not. 'She just kissed me! Like on the lips this time! I am praying to whatever gods out there she is not secretly bipolar.'

She reaches out and grabs the remote before pressing play and resting herself back on my large figure. And we sat like that as each episode went by until eventually I saw her close her eyes, and she fell asleep.

'Am I that comfortable that you can fall asleep on me twice?' I think as I continue to watch anime while growing my mana core. I can feel her hot breath on my chest as she breaths and every time I glance over, I see her two peaks squished between me and her. After a few hours of anime, I hear the front door open and look over to see Sam entering the room, she glances at me, turns around while pulling out her wrist band, and messages her husband, "It's date night for us tonight, meet me at-" and that's all I can read as she simply walks out.

I couldn't believe my eyes, 'She left. No questions asked, just left.' I think as I look at Winter's sleeping face, 'Am I really seen as that trustworthy?'

After about another hour of her sleeping, I feel my mana core growing in size with each hour and no restrictions, till now. I feel my mana core suddenly stop, as if it's at a wall.

'What the hell?'

I continue trying to increase my core until I suddenly hear a Ping! And a screen pops up in my view.

I stare at the screen in shock, 'What does it mean that I have to use pure shadow mana? Haven't I been using that?' I sit there in silent confusion till I hear a yawn. I look behind the screen to see that Winter has woken up from her extensive nap. She wipes the sleep from her eyes as she looks around until she suddenly realizes that she is on me and blushes extremely.

"Sorr-sorry." She stutters as she gets up from laying on me, her face as red as a tomato. I swipe the screen away as I giggle at her embarrassed face, "You slept like a baby." She blushes even further if possible and her hair turns silver. I quickly calm down and wave it off, "It's fine, we're dating so it's alright if this happens every so often."

She blushes less as I say it before nodding, she then seemingly realizes something before looking around and asking, "Where's my mom and dad, they should be home by now."

I try to calm her worries by telling her what happened, "You mom walked in while you were sleeping on me and just turned around and left as she messaged you dad that it was date night."

She nods and her slight look of worry calmed down a bit before she looked over at the tv and her eyes widen, "Have you been watching it all this time?" I simply nod silently. She giggles cutely as she says, "Sorry. I guess you had nothing better to do while I was sleeping."

I nod as I look down at the watch and realize it is really late. I look over at her, "It's best that you get more rest so you can have the advantage in battle, plus it's pretty late, I'll be heading to bed soon as well." I say as I stand up, trying to also give an excuse so she will let me go. 'Plus, I still have that combat suit to finish up.'

She looks at the time and nods, "Alright, makes sense, I'll walk you to the door." I wave my hand, "I can make it myself thanks, have a good nights rest tonight, I'll see you tomorrow before the fight, alright?" She goes to say something before a look of determination forms on her face as she nods. I walk out the door and as it shuts, take Slime Winter out and hold him to face me, "Okay, I'll let you sit on my head as long as you don't eat my hair or squeeze my head into nonexistence." He silently nods as he crawls up my arm and onto my head, his large gelatinous mass jiggling as he sits on my head.

I then walk down the hall as I think of the things I have encountered today. 'I need to finish the armor, then research what pure shadow mana is and how to get it.'

I then smile, 'This is going to be fun.'
