[Chapter 58] The Trip Begins

'The amount of information I absorbed last night made me cry myself to sleep. That was the worst headache I ever had in this world yet.'

I walk out with my coat on my back, and Winter on my head. I see the cart in front of us, 'Is this what she called the levitation cart?' I ask myself while I look at it and it holds true to its name, hovering a few feet off the ground.

I look over at Dreag as I turn around, sticking my hand out. 'Ok...imagine you want her to enter the tattoo. Imagine her essence melting down into sand before becoming the tattoo. Imagine...' I open my eyes and see Blossom gone.

'Did it work?' I ask myself as I look at the tree on my wrist, but as I look at it, I freeze from surprise. It's full of color, now showing as a regular blossom tree. 'Guess it did.'

Dreag raises an eyebrow while looking at me, "Something wrong? And when did you become a beast tamer?"

I look at him with a warm smile, "Nothing Dreag, it is just my first time doing this. Storing a familiar."

He looks at me with a scorn, "From today on wards, you refer to me as teacher."

I nod respectfully, "Yes teacher."

'These three days were rough but it's went smoothly otherwise.'

I suddenly hear a voice behind me, it's a high pitched voice. "Are you Kurayami?"

'Who is it this time?'

I turn around and am shocked by what I see, it's a white Dragonborn and a tan tabaxi with brown spots, I feel an odd attraction towards the tabaxi but I can't put my finger on why.....

'I am sure this is the same person I am looking for, but he doesn't have scales, horns, or wings. And what is that thing on his head. It looks squishy.' She thinks as the squishy thing glares at her as if she is his worst enemy.

'But what ensures me is his purple hair. I have seen few people here with such a unique color. Not to mention, they were all odd looking compared to this person in front of me.' She suddenly hears a voice beside her ear.

"Is this the guy you were sent here for?" She turns around to see the tabaxi a little bit away from her, gazing at her curiously. 'What is with his voice? I still want to figure it out. But sense I can't, all I can do is nod.'

'This guy to his left though.' She thinks while looking at the orc. 'He is dangerous.' She suddenly hears a different voice.

"Yes, that's me, what do you need?"

This voice came from the purple haired kid in front of her. She didn't hesitate to state her mission.

"I need you to come with me back to the Fang Kingdom for a meeting with my king."

"..."

"..."

There is an awkward silence in the air , creating an uneasy atmosphere.

'Did I say something wrong?' Erika asks herself.

Dreag stands there with a dark look on his face. 'What kingdom is this, and why do they want to meet Kurayami? From my knowledge, no one else knows he is a divine beast except the king and the knights he brought.'

I stand there dumbfounded. 'How does she know of the fang kingdom?'

I look at the tabaxi behind the Dragonborn. 'And what does the the tabaxi have to do with it?'

Vitruvius is currently wondering about....similarly important things. 'What is kingdom fang like? Ooh! What is the food like?!'

I eventually speak up, decidedly playing dumb. "I don't know of any Fang Kingdom, what does it want with me anyway?"

She closes her eyes and looks down, "Sadly, that is classified from me."

Dreag puts his hand on my shoulder, seemingly claiming me as his property. This action speaks volumes to everyone and gives the conversation moments ago a territorial feel.

"Sorry to disappoint you but we are going back to the Restard Kingdom to begin his training for our kingdom. He is my student. So he will be visiting no other kingdoms at this time."

The white Dragonborn seems as if she is going to say something but stops herself, turning around and leaving. The tabaxi turns around to follow her but before leaving, he glances at us. She begins to speak as she walks.

"Please visit the king as soon as you can, he has been waiting patiently to meet you after your match in the colosseum."

And with that, they continue walking till they disappear from view.

I feel my new teacher's hand release my shoulder from its territorial grip and stares at me with a glint of interest in his eyes. "What was she talking about?" He asks as he raises his eyebrow.

I just shake my head while shrugging my shoulders, "I have never met that women before so I have no idea."

'The only battle I fought in a colosseum on this plain was the one against Elva and her used to be cult. And oh boy, I laughed so hard after giving all those pricks the biggest scares of their life last night.' I inwardly giggle at the memory of their snobby faces turning to horror after realizing they couldn't beat me.

Dreag stares at me for a minute before turning around and guiding me towards the cart. I step in and there is one word to describe the insides, luxurious. The seats are a red material that looks both comfy yet sturdy. There is silver and gold all through the inside, giving it a sense of royalty. And I see a young girl, a man in a coat, and a shivering knight.....wait.

I do a double take and look at the knight. He shivers even more under my gaze before stuttering, "S-sorry about my-my behavior yesterday sir, it was-was uncalled for."

'What did they do to this man?!' I think as I see Dreag sit across from the royal family. I step inside and sit down beside Dreag nervously, not knowing how to act here. It is the first time I have met royalty and I don't know much about the manners I should give. The knight continues to look away as I sit down, seemingly scared of me.

I suddenly hear a voice from in front of me and see it's the king's! He clears his throat and speaks sternly yet kindly to the driver saying, "To the capital of Restard!"

I inwardly bounce with excitement, feeling like a little kid in a candy store, excited for my trip! But little did I know, many things were going to happen this trip, planned, or not.
