20 [Chapter 20] Relationships
I sit down at a stump table and start eating the mass of delicious food on my plate when I see Kasuni and Rasuna walking towards my table with plates of ham, turkey, and some salad. "Meow!" Goes winter as he jumps on my lap and starts purring as I rub his gelatinous head.
"Is it ok if we sit here?" They say as they point at the stump. I motion, "Be my guest." Kasuni sits beside me while Rasuna sits to the left of her. Kasuni looks at me, "So your a Dragonborn?" She asks kinda awkwardly. I look at her, "Yeah, wanna see?" "Sure." She says nonchalantly but with a hint of excitement. 'She wants to talk to me so I'll be kind enough to oblige and not be a dick, even if she's a slime, she is kinda cute.'
'Semi-human transformation.' As the thought enters my head, my black dragon wings pop up from my back, my black tail grows from seemingly nowhere and my horns grow from my skull. Scales appear all over my body from my neck all the way to my legs. "That's so cool! Even if your a Dragonborn, I haven't seen one that can do that!" "Nice, I have went up from flesh being to Dragonborn." I say with a proud face. Kasuni giggles. 'I guess not all flesh beings are as bad as my parents make them out to be.' She thinks to herself.
We start discussing stuff as we talk and I feed Winter some chicken which he meows to as he enjoys it. "So what do you do as an occupation?" I ask her, curious of what jobs slimes do. She blushes slightly, "I don't have an occupation but I plan on getting into one of the kingdoms academy's..." I look at her surprised, "That is good, I also plan on getting into one of them." She stops blushing and looks at me, eyes full of excitement, "Which one?" I look at her and then look up as if to ponder, I don't know much about the colleges, only what I have heard in passing conversations. But if I can assume, going to a college would increase my odds of living a good life while learning how to use my magic.
"I don't know, I just want to get into the best one for the darkness affinity." Her eyes light up further. "I know the perfect one, it's the one I'm going to! They just established the any race policy there, so no more species discrimination! They also have the no bullying policy even though that probably doesn't work..." I look at her shocked, "Wait, you have the darkness affinity? She nods and blushes, "I also have the wind affinity but I prefer darkness magic." I look at her, "Then it looks like we are planning on going to the same academy. Let's try our best to get in!" I say while smiling. 'Stats.'

'With this language cheat, learning magic will be a piece of cake. Speaking of cake...' I look over to see a giant red and green cake with white as the base. It looks fluffy and when I see someone cut into it, it's....purple?' I go over and take a slice of the cake before sitting back down, Winter jumps off my head and onto my lap again. I take a bite of the cake, it's vanilla! 'This must dye or something.'
When I get up and out of earshot to grab some more cake, Kasuni looks over at Rasuna, "I feel so nervous around him, why the heck do I feel so nervous around him?" Rasuna facepalms and looks at her, "You like him you idiot, that is the feeling your feeling right now. Well…he also just showed strength beyond what is normally possible so that could be it too." "But he is a fleshy being! Even if his strength is unique." Rasuna looks at Kasuni, obviously aware of how she views other non-slimes. "You said he is unique right? That means he is different than other flesh beings, ask him to take you on a date, then decide your feelings about the flesh being, that one in particular."
I walk back in, sit down, and start eating the slice of fluffy purple cake. Out of the corner of my eye I see Kasuni blushing extremely. "Are you ok?" I ask, while looking at her. "I was wondering if you would be willing to take me out on a date?" She says, blushing even further as her body wiggles but still maintains its humanoid form. 'If I am correct, that is how slimes flirt in this world.' I remember from my classes about creature physiology while in response I flutter my wings, "I would love to." 'Does she suffer from mood swings? She just said she doesn't like fleshy beings but wants to date me.'

'Interesting, so all relationships start at a one but possibly increase when I get more familiar with them...'
I look over to see her jumping up and down, apparently extremely excited about my response. "When should it be and where would you like to meet up at? I'm new around here and don't know the locations much to at all, so do you have any idea where we could have a date?"
She closes her eyes and thinks about it. Her face staying completely still while she brainstorms the options. She opens her eyes and looks at me, a smile on her face, "We could go on a date at this restaurant I know of. It's food is good but....it's in Sloan town, the town of slimes."
Rasuna nods, "Sloan town is a good place to have a date but most slimes aren't as open minded as I am, after all, I doubt there are many who were raised by another species. And your prejudice against others that aren't slimes is a good example Kisuna. Slimes usually think they are the superior species, like most others." Kisuna looks like she wants to say something but ends up staying quiet. "I just wanted to show him my hometown." She replies meekly.
Rasuna continues, "I'm not saying don't go there, I'm just saying be prepared for a lot of bad attention. Plus, it's three days away, I don't think our dad would let a ten year old go on his own, if at all. I would suggest going when your older when you have more freedom." I nod, knowing what she means. 'Conflict is inevitable between races.' I look over at Rasuna, quickly coming out of my thoughts. "I see....so how did you guys get here?" I ask curiously. "We came here by levitation cart, why?"
"Say what now?"
Rasuna laughs at my response, "Haven't heard of them or have you never used one?" I shake my head, "I haven't even heard of them, what are they?" She stops laughing, "Oh your being serious! Let's see, they are the main way to travel, they are these cabs you take that are driven to your destination, but they use crystals and enchantments to float and drive so they don't need horses."
'What era are we in?! The future or the past?! Choose an era already!' I inwardly freak out while I just nod, "Sounds fun, I'll try it first chance I get."
