[Chapter 152] I’m A What?

I suddenly hear the machine make a clicking noise as I feel the arm begin to twitch. Moments later, I feel the arm stab into my spine as I scream in pain.

Winter jumps as she looks towards her mother, "What is happening?!"

Her mother looks at the scene with horror as she realizes, the machine is broken. She immediately stands up and walks towards the machine, showing her intentions.

I clench my teeth as I yell, "No!"

She ignores me as she grabs the arm and yanks, but realizes, it isn't moving. She grabs it with both arms as she pulls upwards and still nothing happens except my screams growing louder.

"B-b-b-begin-ning p-par-pa-parasite release-ease." The machine stutters as the clinking grows even louder.

Blood begins to seep from my neck as it begins to bulge. I can feel my spine splitting in two as I can barely realize what is happening, the needle has opened. Smoke seeps out of the wound as the machine struggles to keep up with my body which is fighting every step of the way. Before anyone can react, the parasite jumps through the hole in the bottom of the bottle happily as it enters my body. Moments later, a shrill shriek can be heard from my mouth as it mixes with the pained screams of my own.

I can barely stay conscious as I stare at the system window, the only thing probably keeping me awake.

'30.....percent!'

I suddenly feel the clamps around my arms and legs tighten as my wrists and ankles nearly snap. I continue to stare at the screen when I feel a squishy substance land on my head as it purrs. I can already tell who it is by the distressed meow and the soft feeling.

'Not now...you purple blob....'

I feel someone grab my clenched fist which has blood flowing down it from my nails digging into my skin. I suddenly hear her voice enter my ears, "Don't worry, I'm here with you till the end! I will take no one else as mine!"

I clench my teeth as I feel blood flowing from my neck.

'50 percent....but I must last longer....I must make it to the top!' I think as a fire rages in my eyes. I don't know how much time passed, hours, minutes, seconds, all felt the same, excruciatingly painful.

I hear a *Ping!* as the screen, which disappeared at some point, reappears.

I can't even smile as I suddenly pass out. The machine slowly closes the dish till it's back to a point. With a quiet *ting*, it slides from my neck as the machine announces, "Process completed. Estimated recovery time, error."

A few days later...

I open my eyes wide as I look around. I am in my room as Blossom sits at my bedside, Slime Winter sleeping calmly on my lap. Blossom wakes up as she seemingly grins from happiness. She swiftly stands up as she licks my face, causing a sudden shooting pain to go up my spine. "Oww."

I suddenly hear an unfamiliar feminine voice, "Your finally awake! I hope your feeling alright after what happened."

I look around my room but see no one, which causes me to become cautious. An unknown voice talking to you is definitely odd, especially when you can't see who your talking to.

"Who are you? And what do you want?" I ask as I look around. The voice I heard silent as I suddenly feel a tingling sensation in my hand, as if it's gone numb. I quickly look down as I see a hole has appeared, causing me to freak out as I cover it with my other hand.

I hear the voice speak again in a pained tone. "Ow!" I quickly retract my hand as I see a blue color fill the hole in my hand. Moments later, a head with 7 eyes pops out.

"Hello!" Says the voice as the 7 eyes seemingly shine, happy to see me. It crawls out of my hand until only the tail is left inside, which confuses me slightly.

"So it's you that's talking to me." As I say as I bring my hand towards my face slightly. The creature nods as it moves its legs around, "I have been stuck in that container for as long as I can remember, it feels good to finally move."

She suddenly changes to a sad tone. "Although what you did was dangerous, it could of ended your life. So why?"

I scratch the back of my head, the shooting pain in my neck still bothering the hell out of me. "Because I wanted to test it before my friend, he would of died if he did it." It stays silent for a moment as I feel a prodding feeling in my head, like someone is searching for something. It nods after these few moments, "Its good to know that you told me the truth, I'm happy I chose the right host."

Before I can do or say anything, she begins to introduce herself cheerily. "My name is Sky, and we will be connected till the end of your life. I hope we can enjoy each other's company!"

I am taken aback, speechless for a few seconds. I nod my head as I smile, "Hello Sky, my name is Kurayami and I am immortal. So let's enjoy each other's company to the end of eternity!"

She pauses as her eyes seemingly grow wider, "What?"

I nod, "I am immortal, I don't age." I hear a gasp as her eyes seemingly glimmer with an even brighter light, "Yay!"

I don't understand her excitement but I let her enjoy the moment since I don't want to spoil her mood.

I suddenly hear a *Ping!* as I see the familiar window.
