Chapter 8

 Revenant noticed that for the past few days, Collins seemed to be ignoring her calls, he didn't even reply to her texts and when she went to Axel's company to talk about him drifting apart when they hadn't even gotten to know each other, he seemed uninterested at what she was saying.

"I'm just saying, I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with you, I want to get to know your family," she said to him, as he sat across the table. They were currently sitting in the coffee shop opposite Axel's chocolate company.

 Collins observed her, one would never know that she had the evil gene in her, his mate looked too innocent but sly deep down. He was going to play at her own game, show her that he knows better.

"I'm sorry if I have been acting that way, it's just, I'm so busy with work and pack duties, trust me being a Beta is tedious"

"You should also have time for yourself too and about the pack, when am I meeting them?" She asked excitedly.

'You are never meeting them' Collins said, within him.

"Soon, don't worry yourself about it" he said, smiling at her, as he raised his hands to stroke her chin.

 He suddenly got a text from Axel.

"Get me two tickets, we are going to the US" he read silently, widening his eyes.

"Like, right now?" He texted back.

"You said, you were going to help me right? Now is the time, Eleanor has a shoot in America" Axel tested

"Yeah, I will, just got to find an excuse to give revenant" Collins texted back

"Are you even listening?" Revenant asked sadly, jolting him from what he was doing. 

"Uhm yeah, but I got to go now, my boss has a meeting to attend too, its really urgent, take care babe" he said as he stood up, pecked her and rushed to leave.

"You see, this is what I am saying, you barely even spen…"

"Sorry babe" he shouted, as he dashed away from the coffee door.

 Revenant sat there confused but not suspecting a thing because she knew it was normal for a company to have meetings like this.

 Meanwhile, Collins got the tickets ready and Axel left the company through his underground network to avoid being seen by revenant. 

 Collins and Axel drove to the airport and soon got on the plane.

"Alpha, may I ask how you got to know Eleanor has a shoot in the US?" Collins asked Axel who was sitting beside him in a white hoodie.

"I was reading the fashion magazine" he stated and Collins chuckled

"What?" Axel asked

"Oh nothing, just that, you aren't one to read magazines" 

"Well I read them now, beside it's actually good to be all-rounded, maybe one day I might decide to go into the fashion industry"

"Hmm, I hope she's really going to be there" Collins said, sighing at his excuse.

"I presume you left the pack with Hart then?" Collins asked again

"Yes I did" Axel replied and Collins nodded.

 Axel and Collins finally got to the US, they brought out their bags and proceeded to leave the airport lobby when Axel's nose caught a whiff of the sweet rose's smell.

"She is here, Collins. Eleanor is here" he said, looking to find her in all directions, when he spotted her talking with a vampire and a red-headed witch girl standing beside him.

"Quick, hide" Collins said to him, as they both hid behind a wall, peeking at them.

"I cannot believe I am hiding" Axel said, scoffing.

 From where they hid, Eleanor could be seen chatting lightly with the unknown vampire who had blond hair with sharp features, Axel listened in on the conversation.

"So, where are you headed?" The man asked

"Oh, I would love to stay in Lotte New York palace" 

"What a coincidence, I'm booked there too, so what do you say we go together?" 

"Well sure" Eleanor said, agreeing as they all walked outside, probably to go into their car. When suddenly, the red-headed witch turned to their direction and glared at them, as she continued walking away

"Who is that dude?" Collins asked, breaking into his thoughts.

"What's with that glare?" Axel asked him back, referring to the witch.

"They seem like friends, they are heading towards Lotte, book a reservation for us too" Axel told Collins as they hurriedly took a taxi and followed behind them.

 When they got to Lotte palace, Eleanor and her two unknown friends went in with their bags.

 Axel and Collins later went in after waiting for some minutes, they checked in and got to their executive rooms, each taking their bath and deciding to take dinner at the restaurant.

 On getting to the royal restaurant, Axel spotted Eleanor with the vampire and the witch.

"Let's sit there" he whispered to Collins, at a place that was somehow hidden but he could easily watch and listen to her conversation.

"You know, back then in NYC, I really did a lot of crazy shit for you" the vampire said, cutting up the steak in front of him and laughing gently at his own joke. Eleanor smiled and nodded her head but the witch just sat there, looking uninterested.

"I told you not to try too hard, what was done was done" Eleanor replied, shaking her head.

"That's true, you chased this whore till the ends of the world but she didn't give a damn about you" the red-headed witch finally said, tapping her nails on the table

"Brother, you are pathetic," she added, looking at him.

"Fiona, keep shut, you know nothing, that's disrespectful" the vampire cautioned

"I'm sorry" he said to Eleanor.

"It's fine, Louis, she has always been like that," Eleanor said, sighing.

"What I said, it's not far from the truth" Fiona said, glaring at her. Axel felt like giving her a dirty slap from where he sat, who was this girl disrespecting his mate?

 Louis banged hard at the table angrily,

"One more word from you and I will devour you" he said and Fiona shuddered.

"I'm really sorry Eleanor, I still have work to do, it was nice having dinner with you after a long time, let me take her to her room" he said, getting up and dragging Fiona's hand, Eleanor gave him an approving nod and they said their goodbyes.

"Fiona is such a blabbermouth, what's her deal with eleanor?" Collins asked, like Axel knew the answer.

 Eleanor suddenly got up and started walking in their direction.

"Is she?..." Collins intended to say something but was short of words, as Axel sighed.

"I will be surprised if she didn't know we were here," he said, concentrating on Collin's face.
