62 Chapter 62: What Rose meant to Him.

Choi Jong-in got straight to the point. "That woman Rose after reaching Korea, came straight sniffing around the Guild today."

Azaroth went still, listening intently.

Jong-in continued. "She wanted information on you, like your number and address but after being denied at HQ. Then she called me, asking to meet."

"And?" Azaroth prompted calmly.

"I declined, of course." Jong-in's gruff tone held a note of warning. "But I know her game - she'll try persuading you to return to America with her."

Azaroth considered this. His past history with Rose was complicated indeed.

He doesn't want to meet her and anyone related to Lucas Morningstar because of the unstable feelings he faces.

But looking back, he has only fond memories of Rose....

It seemed only 'Rose' knew about what Rose was actually like. How could he know right?

Azaroth had memories of his childhood when he was little. Whatever Rose did, she didn't do that in front of him.

So he only has good memories for her to be honest.

Azaroth while still being on the phone was lost in thought.

On one hand, he didn't want to see Rose because she was nothing but a loyal 'Dog' of Lucas Morningstar...

But.. But when he searched his mind, the only fond recollections from childhood featured Rose. While his parents were often absent, she had been a constant caretaker.

He remembered her reading him stories when his mother was away and he was in his father's office building and Lucas didn't even come to see him.

He remembered her gentle hugs and smiles when his father was too busy. Rose had filled the void like an older sister, no, more like family.

(A/N: He doesn't know what she was thinking while hugging him keke)

"And all those times..."

Azaroth recalled the many nights alone as a child, when his mother was out partying or doing drugs with her friends and father busy...

When hunger struck, it was Rose whom a young Azaroth would call while sniffling back tears.

She would arrive with his favorite foods in no time, scooping him into a warm hug until he smiled again. "Let big sis take care of you," she'd say, and the emptiness inside him eased.

He was not even listening to the voice of his uncle and there was a slight unconscious smile on his lips when he remembered something..

He remembered clumsy boyhood scrapes - skinned knees from falls off his bike while riding in the garden of the Berserker's Guild. With no one else coming, little Azaroth would limp to Rose for help. Gently, she'd clean and bandage his wounds, healing more than just physical hurts.

He didn't know she was the one who strictly prohibited any other worker in the building from helping or conversing with him. She wanted to be his only support.

The memories he cherished most though were of times after his father's wrath, when angry shouts still echoed in young ears. Rose was his refuge, taking small Azaroth out for ice cream, telling him jokes, and wiping his tears from her pink handkerchief until laughter replaced tears and joy replaced pain....

(A/N: So what now? Even though she is perverted and pedo, without her, I guess he would have committed suicide.. what should we do with her now?

Kekeke. I'm fucking with you guys lol. Now what's your opinion?)

She had been his light in dark times.

Her kindness and support meant everything to the lonely little boy he had been. No matter her true role, to Azaroth she had always been family...

"—roth? Azaroth? You still there..?"

Choi Jong's voice brought him back from his chain of thoughts.

"Ah— ahm* yes, I'm still here.." Azaroth answered. He didn't like the feeling he was having at the moment.

He hated his heart for hurting like it was bleeding when he had Hyper Regeneration.

"Heck, I thought you hung up on me. So as I was saying, I know that you guys were like family as I've only seen you with her more than..." After a short pause, "..More than my sister.. So I understand, ok? I'm sending you her number just in case. But remember that she is the secretory of that bastard— Ahm*—I mean your father."

Azaroth slightly chuckled, "Heheh, you can call that man a bastard in front of me uncle"

"And" Azaroth took a deep breath, "Thank you for informing me, Uncle."

His response was measured but sincere. "I appreciate you looking out for me."

"PuHaa~ look at this kid acting all grown up. *sigh* Just be on your guard, boy," Jong-in replied cockily..

"What, and you again started being cocky, huh?" Azaroth chuckled.

"For your info, I have recorded this conversation and I'll send this to Grandpa. Let's see how he reacts to you calling that man 'Bastard' while speaking to me heh." Azaroth said while expressing a laugh.

He knows that his Grandpa Senior Choi doesn't have a slight fondness or respect towards Lucas but he is still a rigid man if he knew Jong-in referred to Azaroth's father in front of him. He will still be angry at Jong-in for hurting his Azi Boy's feelings..

"H-h-hey A-azaroth... you will not do that right..?" Came the response of Jong-in to which Azaroth just laughed.

"Yeah, I'll not I guess. Who knows~ keke" Azaroth said in a smug tone and hung up.

'Now on to that topic...' Azaroth tossed his phone to the side and plopped back to the couch.

'I knew that Lucas ugh* (chest pain) fuck, what's with this shitty emotional feeling!! '

"Bring me some milk!" He shouted and his 'daughter' ran towards him with a cold glass of Milk.

"Hyaa~ much better," he said with a satisfied expression.

"Now.. although I knew the berserker would contact me after me showing off like that. But what should I do now..? " He muttered to himself while holding his phone back, looking at Rose's number sent by Choi Jong.

'I didn't know I would have this effect while thinking about Rose too... this vulnerability would hinder my future... what should I do..?'

'By The Way.. What had happened that day..?' He thought.

....

When his parents got divorced, he was devastated. His mom won the custody, Heh, more like dad never bothered to fight for his custody in the first place.

After living with his Mom for 1 year Azaroth became more depressed as his mom was always busy with her new 'boyfriends'.

His classmates saw only a brooding rich boy, oblivious to the hollowness within.

Then one day, a call from Grandpa Choi offered salvation... He asked Azaroth to leave America, to live with him in Seoul instead.

Azaroth readily agreed, desperate to escape constant reminders of everything lost.

As his departure loomed, Azaroth avoided his parents but sought out one last meeting with Rose. She had always encouraged him before.

He found her hours before takeoff, hoping for comfort. But Rose seemed different - urging him not to leave for Korea.

"What's good about that place? you don't even know the people there," she then blurted 1000 reasons for Azaroth to not leave the US.

Azaroth was confused by her change in tone. This wasn't like the sister who had consoled him for so long.

A spark of realization came. "Did Father put you up to this?" he asked shrewdly.

Rose froze, eyes unable to meet his.

"I see," he said coldly. "I-I hoped you would understand..."

Azaroth turned and strode towards his gate without a backward glance.

Rose grew desperate. "Wait, please!" she cried out.

He paused, not wanting further hurt but curiosity to listen to his only family one more time...

Rose approached, grabbing both his hands in hers tightly.

"I love you, Azaroth. Marry me and stay here, we can be a family," she pleaded through fearful eyes.

The proposal stunned him.

Then.. then out of nowhere.. She placed his hands on her breasts...

He hated it. He really fucking hated it.

He had looked at his parent's marriage. Looked at how his mom would act in front of her lovers which she replaced every week.

He had looked up to Rose as his Big Sister, his only family. But now..?

He wanted a sister's shoulders to cry on not a woman's breasts. And according to his memories. His Big sis would never act like his slut mother towards him. Unless.. unless she had instructions...

All warmth from childhood drained from his posture as cold realization set in.

"*Scof* So he doesn't want me to go to his father-in-law's home just because of his petty nature?" He chuckled coldly.

"Let me guess.. It will sting his pride that his pathetic son lived under the roof of his in-laws..?"

"And you... " He looked into her eyes with disdain-filled eyes of his own, "..So this is how low you'll stoop just to keep me here, huh? Why? Because he probably asked you to do whatever you can so that I keep living in a miserable state, right? " he said bitterly.

"No.. Azaroth.. I-I really... Haa~ Would you like me to beg you naked—"Rose pressed his hands more tighter into her boobs and opened her mouth to say something but he silenced her with a cutting glare.

"Don't insult me further with your manipulations. What the FUCK is wrong with you ROSE!!? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?"

"I- I only thought of you as my Big sister.. and now you... was all that.. all that time we spent.. not real..? I.. I thought.. why.. why are you looking at me like the eyes of my mother when she is manipulating her new boyfriend..? You.. me.. for you.. we were never family - you were only using a lonely boy for your own ends," Azaroth muttered while tears dripped from his eyes.

With that, he ripped his hands from hers and stalked off, boarding his flight without a backward glance at the woman who broke his last shred of humanity.

...

present time..

Azaroth clentched his head.

These complicated feelings.. he knows it's a weak point for him. What if his mind goes blank like what happened while talking to his uncle and someone fucking killed him?

Or if someone like Professor X of Marvel controlled his mind?

His mind. Although filled with all sorts of plans and backups of the backups he has for the plans... this fucked up mind is a huge weakness.

He frantically searched the System Shop for a mind barrier skill but didn't find any..

I need to train it myself.

Azaroth sighed and ran a hand through his hair. 'Let's start with Rose. My memories of her are all positive. Perhaps I could win her over to deal with my old man..?'

Yeah, he had reacted like a squib back then. She was the only closest thing to a family. He should have at least asked and listened to her...

'Yeah, I think I should at least talk to her. Maybe I would find a way to deal with my 'heart demon'..?' He thought.

Dealing with Rose promised turmoil, yet turning her away meant refusing the memories of his only joy in childhood.
